Blackout? A primer on rechargeable batteries

Duracell

Heren we have 10 makita 18volt 5ah batteries and 2 adapters to charge the phone, computer and have enough lightning for reading etc.

Yes, all of our home gadgets have Eneloop batteries AA and AAA. We don’t use flash lights but head lamps. The HL are scattered through out the house. One in on each bed post of all beds in 4 rooms.
They are expensive, but also for life. We also have 2 18650 head lamps with rechargeable batteries.

Before buying any Lithium battery everone should check out this guys YouTube site. He does reviews on all Lithium-Iron Phosphate Battery.

Primer On Batteries

Thank you Samantha for this article. I try to keep my needs and wants as simple as possible. Items I use that need batteries amount to flashlights, a weather radio and small devices from television remotes --which I don’t watch anymore-- and small things that have rechargeables that are handled by usb plugin. I’ve never tried to remove batteries in rechargeable items, I have not come across that problem. I have just now purchased the storage box you mentioned; that will solve one problem. I have been using Duracell batteries for a long time and never know if they are still good so now I will have a tester. Yay.
One other thing I learned here is to remove batteries from things that are seldom used. At 70 and living alone now I am testing my resilience.
Thanks to all the commenters here also. Some things are over my head, but I always find something very useful from PP.

I appreciated the summary offered here about the impact of a grid collapse. News for some, a reminder for the rest of us.
Feel free to play it x1.5 speed if it feels slow.
