I have been using a 70% DMSO cream on my knees and sometimes shoulders. I had a reaction to it, mild itching on the skin around my knees. I tried reducing it with coconut oil, no improvement. Then I asked my chiropractor about it and he told me to reduce it with alcohol. Asked if I had a bottle of vodka lying around, that did the trick. No more irritation.
I want to try it on my wife, she had a hemorrhagic stroke in Oct 2024. I talked about DMSO with her NP at the Neurosurgeons office, she had no knowledge of it, but agreed there would be no research on the product since they can’t patent it and make money. I have discussed it at length with Grok, it says don’t risk it. I have a friend who is using it on his eye, he has detached retina issues, he things its helping him.
Reading the testimonials about people with stroke, MS, ALS, I really think she could benefit from it, but honestly I’m scared to try it, what if it did react negatively, the blood damage to the brain was extensive. I am looking for local homeopathic clinics that might have experience with it. Any suggestions, please let me know.
Hi, you could try to write the DMSO substack creator, “A Midwestern Doctor” about it? I think if you subscribe to his substack page he has a monthly question and answer post from his subscribers? This is just from memory but he has something like that monthly for his subscribers. He has also written extensively on strokes and DMSO. Best of luck researching it. I’m doing better and better day by day since starting it around 2 weeks ago. Best decision I’ve ever made.
Thanks for the recommendation Phil, I didn’t want to wait for 6 days go get the paperback, I had the audio book and started listening right away. She gives information on DMSO I have never seen or heard before. My wife’s best friend is dealing with MS, I already passed along the midwesterndoctor link, will share this book with her as well. Thanks again!
I’ll look into that, hoping to find a local homeopathic Dr with experience. One my of my biggest concerns is how to use it in my wife’s case, to apply topically, drink it? The book I just bought that Phil recommended gives me hope. As long as it ends up in the blood stream and since it passes the blood brain barrier, it should get to the area. I looked into Methylene Blue as well, but didn’t up giving any to her, saw lots of people with big improvements in their seizures, that is not a problem with my wife, its the hydrocephalus that occurred after the shunt got blocked.
