I don’t know if I’d go with a single number here as a turning point. I’m looking for confirmation from other indicators like the gold:silver ratio compressing but there too idk how low it’ll go.
Possibly a bottom will be elevated because TPTB prop up the DOW. Conversely maybe it’ll over shoot below 1:1 since the bubble is so high.
My thinking the last few years is in terms of cycles… buy something cheap, sell when it’s expensive and rotate into something else that’s cheap. Dow:gold cycle trades could be simple and we could see a few in our lifetimes. It’s basically playing the credit cycle.
Gary Savage had a great interview this week on Palisades Gold Radio. He sees gold easily $10k maybe $15k by 2027-2028 at the end of this cycle. That seems about right, at least for now.
I’m a lot more aligned with the “buy cheap/sell expensive” than I am with MUST BUY GOLD! or MUST BUY DOW because recent ROI is so fantastic. In my contrarian view, “recent fantastic ROI” will eventually be a sell signal.
At the same time, I think there’s a confidence cycle (per Armstrong) and right now confidence in government is “trending poorly” but that hasn’t quite appeared yet in bonds or USD. Once everyone knows that the government (Autopen et al) mandated the DeathVax, and it killed and injured millions, that could be a trigger. Same with “magic money machines” and “Epstein-like control mechanisms.” Taken collectively, its not a great confidence-builder.
So if government has a multi-generational confidence bubble pop, the dow-gold ratio might not be the thing, since they are both “private” items into which money will flow - out of treasurys - once confidence in government pops for real.
I’m on pretty much the same page. I’m thinking multiple cycles converge in phase soon for some very big event. Gold is the best safe haven for now but after the event we will see what makes sense.
