The “threat to democracy” is a phrase turned on its head by the media and all who use it. The term actually means the opposite thus is distinct and provable malinformation/lie. Who distributes this malinformation? Everyone who incorrectly uses it. Instead I suggest the term “threat to incumbent power”.
It is just one of those backwards/on its head phrases that requires the reader to try to understand. There is no understanding necessary. It is pure and simple propaganda reminiscent of Nazi Germany and its Propaganda Ministery. History always seems to rhyme only because the same mindset cycles through the government structure.
