Oil, Geopolitics, and the Gathering Storm: Critical Insights on Energy and Economic Risks

That’s what I’d like to see. A time series of moves along with dates. Division X here, then a month later, there, then now, somewhere else.

The maps with arrows - do they represent actual movements or eventual end goals if all goes well?

At present, the United States is a colony of the Greater Israel project as is Britain. The Zionists see themselves as the rulers of the global order. They are a Judaic cult formed around the primitive Mesopotamian idea of a state religion with a God identified with the State. That bond, derived from the culture of warring cities like Ur and the various incarnations of Babylon, has served as a justification for genocide and the other threats to civilization posed by the modern state of Israel. It probably has only survived because of Jewish co-evolution with the banking system and Jews not being prohibited from loaning money at interest like Muslims and Christians. An ideology evolved as a set of permissions which were readily adopted by Eastern Europeans with no ancestry in the Middle East and whose first exposure to literacy came from Rabbis scattered by the diaspora. Without the financial components of the cult I don’t think its primitive core idea of being a chosen people would have survived with such vigor. This conjunction of primitive ideation with financial power and great technical skill sets makes Zionism a serious threat to humanity and ultimately the planet, because Zionists see themselves above nature as well as the rest of humanity. They do not practice the Judaism of Albert Einstein.

RR Matt Hoh has a take that supports your concerns:

I would too. ISW mapping has pretty good moving front maps but their latest ends in Feb, 2026.

Someone made the front moveable last year using daily MilitarySummary maps but it ended in early 2025. I’ve been trying to get Grok, Perplexity & Deep Seek to use MilitarySummary or THETI to make a moving map. I keep trying but so far, I’m not smart enough to ask the right questions, etc.

Matt Hoh thinks Russia is stuck because no matter what anyone does, nobody’s going to back down. Trump just gave Ukraine 6 billion on top of Brandon’s 80 billion so it’s going to keep going. Leaders who want more people to die because talking stops the MIC scratch or bruises elite egos. The death tolls are waved away, thrown away like any dirty paper towel on both sides, but especially the West.

I really enjoyed Matt Hoh’s recent analysis on today’s Deep Dive. I tend to one side or the other to get the damn wars over but don’t want to accept it’s not about death, winning, or diplomacy to the leaders. It’s about something sinister layered with sweet icing.

One of my recent conspiracy theories is that these various internet talking heads just parrot each other. Like marketing twats on Linkedin. This was hammered home to me when Col Douglas MacGregor (one of the 3 main Ex-Colonel YouTubers) was going on about gold and bitcoin on a gold shilling channel - as though that’s what he studied and did for a job for however many years.

I’ll be impressed if I have somehow managed to become this weeks “thought leader” who all the talking heads will parrot this week. If you throw enough “global analyst” shit takes at the wall, perhaps some of them will stick.

Anyway, if you like my takes/“analysis”, do subscribe to my substack and buy me a coffee. Because obviously, everyone is obsessed with sodding coffee. Fking hell…

Good points all. Yeah, Doug needs to stay in his own wheel house. He’s brilliant with military history, military capacity, and military logic, and foreign policy wrt military issues but investment advice like bitcoin, not so much. He, like most is concerned about the debt, the dollar, etc and thinks bitcoin might be a good idea.

Obviously you don’t have to do this, but if you daily watch the channels that display actual conditions on battlefields like MilitarySummary, THETI, ISW, then the ones whose analysis is within the reality of what is actually happening on the ground can give you a pretty good idea for yourself what’s going on and also instantly know who is bullshitting and who is trying to get to the truth or get to a reasonable analysis. Don’t hate the guys who were flies on the wall, or whistle blowers and are now retired colonels because they’re retired colonels. There are three I can think of who have been pretty spot on about Ukraine and Iran since 2024 and none want a coffee from anybody. Because guys like Matt Hoh can’t predict the exact future doesn’t mean they’re all shilling for something and doesn’t mean their analysis sucks.

The Iranian thing however, I don’t think anybody can figure that one out although I think there are a few who are honestly trying. I have to look at MarineTraffic a few times a day and find the real time or past 24 hour moving ship traffic. So far it has been either closed or mainly controlled by Iran’s toll booth. That’s really all that matters and is the thing that results in so much worldwide disarray vis-a-vis energy. Any talking head that says otherwise like Vance yesterday is lying. You can know for sure stuff like that. I do read Chris and hear Chris’ analysis wrt oil/petroleum. I also read the green chicken, Art Berman, and a few others like Chris who know more about oil in their clipped fingernails than I’ll know if I live to be a thousand. And hell, they all might be wrong but they all (well, not so much with Doomberg) present data along with their analysis.

These arrows are inferred plans. Would be very interesting to see a long form time lapse from a serious mapper. Military Summary often clicks through a few days to a week to show progress.

Micron is in commodity memory chip business. Stock market doesnt reflect this. So better check revenue and profit margins too as commodities are often very competed cyclical industries. Grantged memory makers have at least since 90s been doing regularly price trusts then US court broke them, then they try again after a while. It is pretty low margin manufacturing. Similar as corn but without government subsidies.

Ah, russian side hopium(tweet of Ethan). Ive seen plenty of ukrainian side hopium. That’s pure speculation.

Do these conflict eg military summary channel maps and reports and ISW maps/reports? Just curious if they show more detailed info telling more of events than daily or hourly platoon skirmish/artillery lobbing exchange.

So every day when he says, “let’s see what happened in the previous 12 or 24 hours,” then colors in Russian advancements along the front from northeastern Ukraine down to west of Crimea, showing specific daily advancements or occasional retreats/retaking, that’s really a few days to a week of progress? I wasn’t aware of that. I never noticed a few days to a week click through ever, watching every day for about two years.

Militarysummary.com but you have to join to see the interactive map. Didn’t realize it until today he has a Patreon membership for 5 bucks a month. As usual, I’m late to the party.

It’s variable. Sometimes he may say “Let’s look at the last week. On the 30th, it was here. Then 1st, 2nd, 3rd and now this is the 4th”. In the video I just watched, he was comparing with mid 2025, and not animating, just showing then and now. But when he’s drawing, that’s always since the last update.

I have two adult children, ages 28 and 22. They were both raised in a Christian, conservative, patriotic home; however, neither of them are patriotic. in fact, my 22-year-old said America is a “bad country” - that there are better places in the world. I told him to travel a little and then come back to me and give me his opinion. He didn’t learn that from us - the school system instills this mindset. “Gen-Z’ers” feel hopeless. They have been left a country that is wrecked. They have no hope of owning a home in the future, good jobs are few and far between, and most are saddled with student loan debt. Thankfully mine aren’t. My son chose not to go to college because he feels it’s a scam, money-making machine (and I can’t argue against that). He trained and received certification in the IT field and now AI is gobbling up all those jobs and is coming for most of the rest of us. Our government is doing everything they can do dismantle our country. I can’t blame Gen-Z for feeling the way they do. Their country has let them down. The scariest thing though is there are very few under the age of 50 who would even have the heart to fight for what is left…

I have two daughters, 22 and 26. Similar, in that they grew up in a reasonably constitutional and patriotic home. I say reasonably, because as we home schooled we tried to expose them to the good the bad and the ugly about the USA. We tried to teach them that we had a constitution that could continue to work if we let it, and that in most cases we did not need new laws or amendments, we simply needed to execute the laws we had, and hold people accountable with transparency and audits and checks and balances.

They both went off to college to become very socialistically minded. I don’t think it was entirely the university experience but rather the online universe they joined to be in tough with friends, story groups and the like.

I ha e observed with other families that it seems to be social media and gaming platforms, discord servers, and the like where the information is spread.

In the mean time they are both through college and employed with good pay and fabulous health benefits. I can hope with time they will see how things really work, and have a more moderate outlook on life.

If not, I will spend down on the inheritance, and give much higher percentage to charity, because I don’t want to offend their socialist, America sucks, worldview with money the government did not hand them, and with money that “racist” patriotic old white men and women labored for and saved and passed on for generations.

Several generations of hard working Americans who thought it was our jobs to live below our means, secure our old age and to set back something so the next generation could have it a level better. Seems we are all evil boomers and did something wrong.

If you put that on a T Shirt I would buy it.

The question remains: How do we- even the grey-hairs- effectively engage, and defeat, the enemy? We have the numbers, but where is our plan?

Maybe step #1: how about we figure out what we are trying to create?

Mostly, we just complain about what’s wrong. Me too. Fauci is still roaming free. Vax is still on the market. Disability continues to scream higher.

Woo-woo says, if that’s what you focus on, that’s what you get more of.

Instead - maybe we could try to lay out how we would like things to be?
Hmm. That’s probably an entire topic!
