Plus the ease of use and additional synergy between manufacturer and end user, they can reach a wider demographic with the same or similar product and make customization simple. I had noticed that our prior patchless sleeves looked similar to a Velcro base but it’s nice to have that idea reinforced!
Nice find on a white whale! I haven’t seen a white tac vehicle yet so that’s pretty neat!
Ray, I think is a good fit for the role, but we don’t yet have a way to tie him to ESU, and I still can’t find anything more on him either.
If we could tie him with a face at the rally, that would work, too. Unfortunately, we don’t get a look at the driver of the SQ200. We would have to spot him on the east side of the AGR complex after it parks there, which was sometime between 6:28 amd 6:41 pm.
@linzki I’m still in the process of doing my RTK requests trying to get the original images of Crooks sitting on the retaining wall. We are having some predictable technical issues where I’m being sent images that are 640x480 and I have to clarify I want the original documents, etc. Will update again later.
The Congressional Task Force has a funny way of getting to the bottom of the July 13th attempted assassination of President Trump. They send letters requesting information from various agencies, but don’t schedule follow-up hearings to put time constraints on them providing that information.
Edit: The letters do have response deadlines, but we know how well 3 letter agencies ignore those.
OFFS, my old consumer level Lumix GH4 has shutter speed of 1/8000s plus a electronic shutter speed of 1/16000s. As does my newer GH5Mk2. I can shoot 4k videos with them, too.
It is real common in today’s DSLR cameras.
The Military has switched to velcro from sew on patches for 20+ years. Police use Military type BDU uniforms, so they have velcro for the same. Same with the patches on their ‘plate carriers’.
Having attended lots of firearms training classes. We were always told to wash our hands with soap and cold water because of lead exposure.
As far as this antenna goes, it certainly stands out as unusual. Also trying to make out what the patch says, could really use a CSI Enhance++ button on my laptop! @sherlock-holmes
Looking for similar transmitter antennas I can find a few whip style ones that look a little similar, maybe. But I can’t find an example yet of one of these used as a drone transmitter antenna.
It’s pretty clearly not your typical radio transceiver, so I really do wonder what this is? If it is a drone transmitter antenna, it seems to be an odd one at that. So, I don’t really know what to make of this guy.
Here’s a few interesting videos I found, dipping back into Axon some too, Sky Hero video is pretty cool.
I have some longer antennas for my 2M/70CM Ham radios. They extend the range over the little rubber duck antennas. I also use 2’-3’ coax to raise the antenna location from my radio pouch.
I don’t have any knowledge or experience with this equipment, but there are 2 USSS options:
C-UAS equipment. Described in testimony as having 2 boxes connected with an Ethernet cable, which Castro ended up borrowing from the Trump campaign A/V person to finally get it working. It’s probably “yesterday’s technology today” compared to the device in the video below.
I don’t think we’re talking about a drone controller, unless the C-UAS operator had a “Drone Hunter” like in the video.
Encrypted Radio Coder. SAIC Burke was trying to get his radio coded during the rally. I’m guessing the USSS agent that had the coder was using a laptop with software like is described in this video. Then again, they may have been using “yesterday’s technology today.”
I don’t know what they have in the backpack. It is fairly common for Military, Government, & just regular people to use different antennas on their radio gear. Running a remote antenna on your web gear or backpack is common to me. But then maybe I’m just weird. That’s a possibility, too.
I’m not saying it can’t be something else, it’s just that the two electronics that are mentioned in the USSS interviews are those two, and he does appear to be wearing a USSS uniform. We’re just trying to ID Eduardo Castro the C-UAS operator, which is why the antenna caught our attention.
