I have noticed an increasing press (perhaps it’s been there my whole life and I just didn’t notice), to make those who deliver real goods and services take relative less so that those who primarily transact in promises can get relative more.
As much as I’ve fantasized about being stupidly rich, I am at a moment in life that it seems indescribably perverse to create a world where no one wants to do real things, but everyone wants to get rich off gambling and stupid stuff no one needs.

Yes. I’ve long said that farmers round here should go back to forming co-ops to slaughter, butcher and sell their meat (for example). As the auction price they get for all their work is negligible, yet the price in the shops is super high = all the middle men are taking all the money.
As it goes, they sold their interests in the co-ops to the big boys a few decades ago and, predictably, they’re now getting shafted. They need to form them again and then try to remember why they were formed in the first place.
My next steer will have to be a feeder above 800 pounds. I just cannot afford two steer calves at today’s prices. My horses will help it with herd anxiety along with all the large ranches surrounding our ten acres. I’ll pen him, feed him out for a few months and process. I won’t be ready for about another year anyway since the freezer’s full from our most recent slaughter.
As a bonus, this leaves a little extra time for the unseen garden out back.
So glad I didn’t see this until after lunch. I slept poorly enough as it was.

I’m also gonna stock up on cloth garden gloves, plastic does not last. I might even splurge for some nice leather ones which heretofore I did not want to spend the money on, but NOW…
I caught a whole bunch of garden gloves on closeout a couple of years back. Keep your eyes open off season.
Right. Also medical gloves are good to have. I will never clean toilets with my bare hands, not happening. I have also noticed your typical dish gloves do not last. I have stored them in the past and many times I have seen the plastic “melt.”
It really aggravates me that they are using the reserves to lower prices for political purposes.
Yes indeed there is so much that does not add up. So much of what we hear is pure BS and Psy-Op. It’s like a flashback to pre 2008 for me. I made my moves then and was right and am still benefitting.

The Ukraine war served as conformation that what I have been seeing on the horizon is indeed still approaching. Sold one piece of land and bought a larger one.
This is seemingly a continuation, only I don’t just see things, I am beginning to smell them and feel the vibrations of the hooves on the ground.
Taking a break today, doing light house work, and starting more seeds. Will dine out this evening and watch a movie tonight. I have some big decisions to make upcoming and my soul and subconscious mind need time to mull them over whole I am doing less stressful things.

A couple of days ago someone posted a comment that Exxon-Mobile & Shell had informed Costco that they have no packaged product available to be sold to Costco. I can confirm that in the Houston market Costco has no Mobile 1 motor oil for sale. The Kirkland brand is down the 5w-30 and some stores 5w-40. No Kirkland 0w-20 is in stock. Costco.com likewise has a couple of less popular motor oil weights for sale. No 0w-20.
Fortunately, last month when Costco had the motor oil on sale, I stocked up. About a 3-4 year supply. Now, I kind of wish I had bought a bit more.
