They haven’t admitted it was all fake, they’re presenting the panic in terms of “we need to get back to the moon before they get there or we’ll be viewed as weak by the world”. Because the social and career costs are extreme for those who question official narratives, a market for sophistry emerges–Experts and laypeople alike seek to rationalize their own complacency against the PF.
And the reason this has worked according to plan for them is because they take the money we give them and use it to bribe our elected officials on both sides of the aisle in both the Senate and CONgress.
