Yeah, but there are warrants out for Bush and Cheney (while still alive) and we all know that was performance art too! And he’s being indicted in the U.S., not the International Court. Still doesn’t add up to me.
Edited a second time to add: Don’t take my comments as support for Maduro. I’m sure he’s a POS. But maybe we should all clean our own houses before looking abroad.

I have seen three, and now four, different images of Maduro. Two, he is in sweat pants. Whatever. I would fake the images even if the even was real just to fuck with people if I were in charge.
The why - ?
(1) Bank collateral - outlined by others, basically the resources of Venezuela added to Trump-aligned Too Big To Fail bank assets sheets after they make loans to exploit fields; oil proceeds kept in their vaults as well.
(2) Panama and Venezuela means we can build a Pan-American U.S. hegemony zone (?)
(3) Some bullshit about “Stolen Elections” self published by Ralph Pezzulo out of his US SOCOM affiliated propaganda business down in Tampa Bay, Florida
(4) We (???) really need another failed state in South America

California had the largest rare earth mine on the planet until about five years ago - when state regulators made sure the place was shut down. Similar to their work with oil and electrical generation capacity - cut it all until the state collapses. We could start up that mine and be back to sovereignty rather than haggle with China.

This whole thing is setting itself for one giant powder keg. Where’s the match coming from is the question? The US is doing to Russia, China and Iran what the US did to Japan which got us a visit from them at Pearl Harbor. We crippled Japan to the point that they had NO choice but to fight back.
That’s what I see happening here. Right now it’s a “slow burn” because Russia wants to use the US to get Ukraine to admit defeat. There may come a point in time where a rendition of Lindsay Graham shows up in Russia and gets tired of the US bullshit and doesn’t give a “F##k”.
Trump has become beholden to the Neocons and Iran. They both are using him for their interests. One wants to conquer the Middle East and the other wants world domination.

I 100% agree. Look at the rare earth deposits in MN and MI as well. I would rather we try to be as self sufficient as possible in these things.
