Of course this is a large part of it. However these parents were not treating it entirely casually. They did not give the kids their own phone or devices with full access and instead were allowing times for use. And things spiralled into ugliness.
Sadly most of their friends and family are telling them to just get the kid their own phone with a unlimited data plan and be done with it, because seemingly the majority of people think teens should have unlimited and in monitored access top the internet.
My take? Number one, they want a lot of children not to make it to adulthood. Number two, they want a lot of children who do make it to adulthood to be mentally and physically compromised and dead by age 40. This will cause the population to become stupid, scared and weak. And that is perfect for controlling and manipulating a population.
Jabbing and sexualizing children are the two primary means to reach conditions one and two.
