@larrythelogger, I agree with you about the USA’s miserable history in the Middle East. Additionally I respect your service and that your opinions are coming from someone who has a first hand relationship with this topic through years taken away from your family time/relationships for the policies of US Warhawks in the Middle East.
My Biblical world view has me looking at this through the lens of a spiritual battle. The Middle East’s US policies have destroyed and displaced many of the earliest Messianic Jewish, offshoot sects, Christian communities and settlements (cities) which have existed for thousands of years. I see it as an attempt to erase/destroy both the living peoples who carry the history in their familial memories and the physical evidence that the Word of YHWH is true.

I understand and agree regarding your Biblical references. I also know that the Word is true and is not about physical evidence. This is why my reference is to the spiritual battle. However, the evil powers of this World, those in high places, have always attacked the physical.

The riots in LA and elsewhere are, I believe, efforts to place preconditions on the Will of We, the People. Democracy ceases when preconditions exist. Government exists to carry out that will. History is not a precondition. History exists in our perceptions but does not in any way precondition the People’s will. We exist and our free will is not bound by our past. We are free to choose and free to give our opinion. That is the essence of American democracy.

No worries. Sorry to hear your daughter almost died from meningitis. I get it, that you are conflicted in what to do.
Just to rule it out, did your daughter get meningitis some time after getting a vaccine (or some other medical intervention)? That is a thing to consider in the weighing of the pros and cons.
My advice on strengthening the terrain of your youngest still stands. Right now, i do not have much input for you on the subject of meningitis, seeing that i have not delved into this before. Were it me, i would try to find out what doctors say may be possible causes and look for ways to guard against that and intervene naturally, if it happens again.

Then one day a shovel unearthed a stone cylinder out in the Iraqi desert proving the biblical scholars got it wrong. Mordecai was undeniably real, proven to be a real guy who lived in Babylon before it was totally destroyed. Solution? Ignore the stone and use their scholarship to ad hominem it into oblivion. Same thing with the scholars and the oldest Jewish text before a kid threw a rock in a cave in 1947. Before then the oldest text was written in 1100AD. Mocked, laughed at by Christian and Jewish scholars, proving some old myth maker, patriarchal, women hating goat herders created it. Solution? Ignore the words on the Isaiah scroll, unroll it, charge big bucks to see it, and use it to justify genocide. Plus, to make it worse, invent a Christian sect that ignores the OT completely and call it progressive and deconstructed Christianity.
You’re right about spiritual warfare but it had nothing to do with physical evidence. As tragic as it is to see it destroyed, if God wants it preserved for the future, it will be including DNA. For me, it’s not the physical, it’s the spiritual which is protected via conditional promises like Psalm 119:11.
I hate that there’s conflicts, horrible human massacres of the innocent because of religious beliefs but there’s not one peep in the New Testament for believers to cross oceans to stop it. Here in the US like Los Angeles violence and property destruction? Direct threat to the Constitution and should and must be stopped (I think by the state first and then fed if the state refuses to protect its citizens), professionally and without bias, period. I think the two things (ME wars and US violent protests over illegal alien being deported) are different. The museum in Quantico is proof enough for me.

A veteran of the Vietnam War, who serviced B-52 bombers in Thailand, married a local Vietnamese woman and brought her home to the United States at the end of his tour of duty. They had a child, a son, together.
Using the son as a threat, every year, for something like the past 50-years, since he completed his tour of duty, he has gone to the San Francisco International airport to meet “relatives” from Thailand of this woman (usually a group of seven (7), because family of family are legally allowed entry into the United States).
This woman hates him. Has had him arrested multiple times on false charges. At least once, the woman has made accusations so severe that he was arrested and taken to jail, where his boss has had to rescue him. If you are law enforcement, imagine dealing with a shrieking, hysterical, out-of- control Caucasian woman. Now insert a shrieking, hysterical, out-of-control Southeast Asian woman speaking in Pig-English.
They are now divorced, but he is still making these annual trips to the San Francisco International Airport. The nightmares this country has created since its founding. And this is legal immigration. Imagine how bad things are, and are going to get from now on, under illegal immigration.
My daughter got meningitis as a newborn baby, just a couple of days old, and no vaccinations as far as I can remember. Luckily, my ex-wife noticed something was up very early, and also luckily, the doctor she approached in the corridor when we got to the hospital quickly had a look at her (rather than brushing us off), and immediately took her to intensive care. What was not so lovely was that they had to pump that poor tiny young thing with antibiotics; but that’s the kind of situation for which antibiotics were designed, I’d say, and despite the downsides of them, in such situations one nevertheless thanks one’s lucky stars to live in the age of antibiotics.

You can find information on the meningococcal vaccine on that website as well. I took a look at it but then I assumed you meant HIB because meningococcal is only recommended for a very small subset of infants with particular issues. You might want to see if your daughter even falls into those categories. A prior severe infection from a sibling is not one of them, Although I see how it could be a concern. One thing I saw is that it only kills approximately 15 infants a year out of nearly 4,000,000 births.
My daughter and I researched it together around her 18th birthday. Trials were limited, tested only for antibodies and not actual efficacy, and there was evidence that efficacy against infection or severe outcome was w closer to 0% than to 100%. There was also evidence of adverse outcomes that likely outweigh the benefits. The trials were fairly small and the follow-ups not that long, so it’s difficult to tell for sure. I let her decide. She decided to opt out.
As for my screen name, there is a very large swamp white oak down in the woods near my house at the edge of a swamp which is where they often grow. Every few years it produces lots of acorns. I’ve processed them and made acorn flour out of them. The bread either made with pure acorn flour or mixed with cornmeal, it’s delicious.
To me this seems credible, perfectly in keeping with Trump’s style: use of threatening rhetoric as a means to an end. He does it all the time, whether regarding war, tariffs, or a multitude of other issues. It is his “thing”. Threaten and bully to instil fear, then backtrack, then do it some more.
One of these days, someone is going to put Trump in his place. It won’t be pretty, and potentially millions will lose their lives because of his really big mouth.
