The magic money money machine reminds me of SBF and FTX. He coded the exchange so his hedge fund would never get liquidated when the trades went against him. Everyone else got liquidated. Why couldn’t these accounts just get coded by the fed to never overdraft? A different set of rules for USA gov vs everyone else.

So much for Trump’s, “i’ll end the war in 24hrs once i’m elected”. He should have done two things, stopped all funding to Ukraine’s war effort which they wil lose regardless. He should have enforced the Minsk 2 peace agreement that was signed by all parties involved. Instead he’s gotten to cute with his rendition of “Let’s Make A Deal”. Now he’s dealing with the result of a bad actor in Zelensky and the Europeans who want the war to continue. Ukraine continues to strike Russian territory and the Russians are threatening retaliation if it continues.

Yes, and, no, not exactly. It is authorized differently.
Firstly, unlike most CRs, this latest one only approved funding in bulk to each federal bureaucratic department and not the usual line by line funding which details not only the agencies funded but the line-by-line declarations as to how those monies must be spent.
Therefore, the cabinet members responsible for the oversight of the specific Department determine which agencies within that department gets funded and by how much. This could lead to the State Department defunding USAID by the instruction of Sec. of State Rubio; or, the decision of AG-Bondi to reassign ATF agents over to immigration and minimally or refusing to fund the ATF.
Secondly, it sets up the proper conditions for the Chief Executive, President Trump, to impound funds and not release the, to be spent at all. Reps Andy Biggs and Chip Roy have discussed this several times in the news.

As a practical matter, there has to be a separate set of U.S. Government off-the-record Accounting Books, right? Even the Mob and the Triads keep accurate accounts, albeit they have a separate set of books from the public set of accounting books? Right? If the big Boss doesn’t know where the money is going, then he is not really In Charge, which is untenable since he won’t last long. Right?
I wonder what percentage of US Empire is financed by “Funny Money” not accounted for by reconciling the books according to standard accounting standards?

Because of Elon Musk and the new U.S. Department of Government Efficiency (“DOGE”) the U.S. government will now have 2 sets of Accounting Books: the incorrect “Official” Accounts, on the one hand; and, the accurate set of Accounting Books produced by Elon Musk and DOGE, on the other hand?

The rip in the social fabric is so severe that it requires the threads to be rewoven in such a manner that the repair is stronger than the weave of the original fabric. The State has traditionally accomplished this through nationalism/patriotism towards a common goal, historically involving war.
Call me cynical but I see the differences between this house as too divided, too wide, to be woven again into a strong, common fabric. We no longer share common cultural values, a common faith, or even a common understanding of biological facts.
Irreconcilable difference require a divorce agreement in order to separate in relative peace (sans civil war). History isn’t in our favor on that one. Federalism won over the states and now we have an expansionist in the Oval Office who is looking at world problems and defense at hemispheric proportions.
Repentance (teshuva) at a national level and the resulting survival of a nation happened with Nineveh in the Bible (see: book of Jonah). What does that look like today and what are the fires required necessary to remove the dross? I shudder to consider the possibilities.

Chapter 4 explains why God did what He did because of Ninevah’s belief that after a mere short announcement of judgment (yet forty days and Ninevah will be overthrown). It was to demonstrate to Israel that after God’s warning to Israel (for decades) and its failure to repent after many opportunities, God would show the same mercy to Israel he showed to an unbelieving nation that attacked and enslaved Jews if they would simply believe God would destroy them demonstrating that belief with the sackcloth and ashes stuff. The dross and the elimination of it wasn’t the issue for Israel (and they had crap tons of that at the time) It was their repentance and, like David said God desired over sacrifices, a penetant heart God desired. Israel failed at that and we’ve failed at that. A few decades later, the entire nation of Israel (the northern kingdom) walked naked as slaves to Assyria (Ninevah) because they didn’t turn after decades of pleading by God. It was the game over date for the northern kingom for good. When God does game over dates, they tend to last for good. A century and a half later, Josiah got rid of the dross in the southern kingdom (Judah). No dross but no repentance by the people, no penitent hearts. Twenty years later, they walked naked as slaves to Babylon, much more dross free than 21 years earlier.

By removing the last sentence of my post from the paragraph in your quotation you removed the context of what I was stating. I did not need the biblical or historical account of Nineveh rehashed. My post questioned what that would look like for the USA today.
Appreciate your post, it takes a lot of guts to post anything that pertains/ascribes to the spiritual realm, thank you for sharing.

I think then I missed your point. Do you shudder to consider the possibilities of repentance, dross removal, being overthrown or something else? I think I was tracking you until the Jonah reference. I agree with everything you said up until then and got lost. Assyria dodged the bullet for a while by repentance and God held off having them overthrown. I think that was a good move on Ninevah’s part. I don’t see us doing that now but I’ll take as much dross removal as we can get either way.
For what it’s worth to anyone here, I also know of two different individuals with psychic “gifts” (who are not exactly financial savants) who have stated that this coming week there will be an event that causes “financial collapse” and “banking system disruption” where, “banking credit is inaccessible” (all their terminology).

It is hard to imagine what national repentance would look like today because we are as a nation so removed from religious belief systems. Liberal Christianity and liberal Judaism are almost unrecognizable compared to their original form.
The last time I am aware of in which we practiced repentance at a community level was after the Salem witch trials. Eventually the madness passed and people relaized they’d killed innocent men, women and children. Many of those killed had been owners of valuable and desirable land, and many of the women were midwives. In short, people who could elicit envy. The pilgrims judged themselves and then they salted the empty lands of people who’d been killed and had no surviving kin, and took care of the children they’d orphaned and widows they created. They wanted to ensure that no one would benefit from the ill-gotten gains of their actions. There was public repentance in the communities and churches.
Are we still that people? I think our national repentance will look more like Germany. That is, it wiill start with trials and hangings. It will help if we as a people take responsibility to care for our gene damaged.
In Rwanda, after the genocide, they instituted a truth and reconcilation process, where many people confessed/ took responsibility for their part in the genocide, victims confronted the guilty, and there was public penitence for the common man and punishment for the masterminds. There was a lot of reconciliation work and truth was the necessary frst step. We are in the uncovering truth stage right now and have long been in the longing for consequence and justice stage. I don’t know if we will get to it, as we may be facing civil war, other war, economic collapse and famine. To me, reconciliation seems like an activity of people not thus occupied.
What do you think it would look like and do you think it possible?
