I love container gardening, especially since I wouldn't otherwise be able to have a garden since I live in an apartment. I've found what works best is using large containers (12 in diameter+) and companion planting vegetables and herbs. Not only does it improve the taste of the vegetables but it also keeps insects away without having to use harmful pesticides.
