I will add anyone to the text thread who sends me their # by PM. Please do so by 9 PM tonight.
Also, please let me know if you’re on Signal or Telegram and how to find you there.
Finally, it would be helpful to have a specific meet up plan by tonight as I am toying with the idea of putting my phone in a faraday bag as I approach DC.
The schedule calls for me to be on stage at 1:28 PM (+/-)
I get ten minutes…which is twice the spot I was expecting. You can pack a lot into ten minutes!
My topic area is finance/economics
I am planning to cover the obvious predicaments:
Runaway debt accumulation by the federal government
Deficit spending that’s fueling inflation
A captured Federal Reserve that serves big banks and big money at the expense of the young and those just starting out.
The fact that when your money system fails, your society fails
The horror that will be “their solution” to these predicaments (which they created) which will be in the form of programmable CBDCs.
That fixing our money is the greatest challenge of our time because - it’s not possible to build a just society on a foundation of corrupt money (explain how it’s fundamentally corrupt to force people to exchange their lives/labor for money but then just print it up out of thin air behind the scenes)
I hear from conservatives all the time about the deficit problem, so I don’t think that’s going to be news to this audience.
But connecting the idea that we can’t have continued growth with finite resources has driven us to substitute debt (money creation) for growth, and hiding that in how GDP is calculated.
I like to ask: how can the stock market keep going up 6-8% in the long run when the economy is growing 1-2%?
Spending is the real problem. The debt is the true measure of that, not the deficit.
Maybe a list of ten things to ponder… get the audience questioning key assumptions and point them to Crash Course and PeakProsperity.com for deep dives.
@quercus-bicolor-2 I sent my info to you to add to the list, hopefully I used the correct function here on the site to reach you. Thanks for volunteering.
To everyone: I should be arriving in DC at 12 noon and hope to be able to meet you all. Barbara
I’m going to be there and would love to organize a meetup tomorrow!
How about Elephant and Castle? It’s a highly-reviewed, reasonably-priced restaurant/bar near the Washington Monument. I originally suggested a ping pong place/bar/restaurant that looked fun called Spin but sadly it’s closed on Sundays.
Trying to figure out a good time. Chris speaks from 1:28-1:38pm. Does anyone know what time other speakers are speaking? I couldn’t find it on their website.
How’s 3:30pm at Elephant & Castle for food and/or drinks? it could break up the rally a bit – watch Chris + some other speakers, meet up together for food/drinks and catch the last chunk of the rally.
I’ve been traveling around the last couple of weeks (since the Peak Prosperity event two weekends ago) and it’s been a frenetic pace, so I’m not sure I’m going to make it from 1:30-7pm and then still have energy for a meetup. Though folks who wanted to, could gather again after the rally.
Undercounted Inflation - by a massive amount - the government is lying to you about your money getting more worthless as time goes on, and it has been getting worse every decade. Accurate in 1980, a fairy tale today. “Nobody wants to be Jimmy Carter-ed.”
Do you believe inflation was 1.74% over the past year?
