I don’t see the GT as an all or nothing event. There are a spectrum of possibilities. Hard copies of key documents in secure locations will likely help against a number of issues.
Ah yes, the DC Constituency Hate Index. Thank you sir. Hate’s a-boomin’!
Just a stab at it but as they make the purchasing power of the dollar drop as fast as bat boop in a Wuhan wet market by spending trillions more per year than tax revenues, they need more currency printing because prices go up for things that they blow up in Ukraine and Syria and Gaza and probably soon Iran. Plus the magic money machines have to pay the banks for mortgages to illegal aliens, plane flights from and now back to alien nations, and learing centers in Minneapolis and Los Angeles.
Plus, Uncle Sugar’s currency is still the cleanest dirty shirt in the hamper so he has to use it to keep the party going.
If I totally missed the point of your question, I apologize. I’m still a slow brained boomer who buys expensive vacuum cleaners that need bags because Mrs L likes them better than Dysons.
I know how to do it with that version of the Uconnect system. The newer ones have a the cell card integrated into the main board so i am not sure how to do those. The 2021 vintage is easy since its a deparate little board and some little cables to disconnect.
When the fed guy in the clip said they needed to print money because people were going to be paying taxes soon, my brain heard “we are going to take out a payday loan on payday”
Sadly the darker side of my psyche agrees - more and greater complexity.
Ha! All that bribery has really gotten expensive.
That struck me too…
I heard during the AI discussion much foolishness. People cannot live without a job..and it seems to me that the best thing to do when AI eliminates the job is to go back to when this country was founded..most ly small farms, some silversmiths and candlemakers…ie Capitalism with a small c. No substitute. We could bring the pathocracy to its knees…no strong central govt, ai only to guard the borders. Strict constitution..no wars except defense.
Because the REALITY THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT BY ELIMINATING 99 PERCENT OF THE JOBS IS THE ELIMINATION 9F 99 PERCENT OF HUMANITY
Karen…boomer here too. If i ever get that addition finished the house i will be moving to will be a dumb one. Fighting smart meters every step of the way. No wifi unless i can push a BUTTON and turn it on. Ethernet cabled lonely computer with zorin. Degoogled phone and land line. No leds. Probably no tv…havent missed it since Covid.
Kill us all. The plan is pretty easy to see. Our goal is to stay alive, and develop new skills..like the blade runners.
We are the carbon they want to reduce. Knowing that makes all their moves make sense.
I was fascinated today listening to an interview of Eric Dane who passed away the other day at 53 of ALS. Diane Sawyer interviewed him probably 18 mos ago and the interview included a few minutes with his ALS doctor from MA. The doctor said that they are seeing more than a moderate increase each year in ALS - enough to be concerning. She seemed to think it had something to do possibly with more aging adults, if you played football or soccer, served in the military, pesticides, exposure to plastics, some bacteria present in lakes, and some other commonalities that she didn’t name. I immediately thought of Monsanto and RoundUp and glyphosate - that Trump just said should be free of liability. I know that maybe I’m just a conspiracy theorist at this point in my life, but I wonder if this isn’t another arm in the population reduction story. Of all things though . . . this has to be one of the most horrible diseases out there. I just can’t imagine what it is like to be cognitive of everything going on around you and not being able to take care of yourself or respond in any way. . . until the nerves going to your heart decide to stop working. Such a horrible way to die.
Paul recounts his story of bickering retired couples as rare, but in Japan, this is a universal feature of the employment culture. It has a psycho-medical designation: Retired Husband Syndrome or ‘husband-at-home stress syndrome’. As he predicts, it produces extreme societal tensions and is seen as one of the leading causes of male death after retirement.
