Excellent podcast. Full of insights. I would like to hear your views on how AI will defeat the debt vortex. Your podcast on AI was a real eye-opener for me. It would be great to hear your views on the future factually dealing with the combined debt and unfunded liabilities simultaneously with AI.
Below are my views.
I just do not see how either creative destruction or a jubilee would cure the issue of one person’s wealth is another’s agreement to service what is owed. The public expects National Debt to be serviced and unfunded liabilities to be paid. Because everything is tied to a credit currency, there is literally no way out of this credit/debt vortex but to accept the obligation and service it. Obviously, there exists no such will. Except for a miracle, an economic crash is pre-ordained.
AI is the miracle? I see AI as being mostly a systematic concentration of power in a few. AI is really an “efficiency” enhancement system of immense complexity. AI is very much a program of creative destruction. There exist computer programs that identify when change is too rapid and society falls apart. We are up against that threshold today. Having made two major career changes, I do not give an ounce of credibility to anyone who replies: “All you have to do is….”

Those have been my working conclusions based in frequenting non-Western media and commentators, and from reading various non-Western government sources, and industry-specific journals.
The info, examples and innovations are there. I’m not pessimistic, except for the immediate future of Western nations. It’s evident the path out is already being actively blazed. It’s only our hubris and myopia that prevents us as societies from following the successful lead of others. So pain, self-inflicted pain, will follow until we deal with ourselves.
I have been of the opinion for years if not decades that there is a great equilibration taking place due to tech.
The opportunity for education for example is amazing. Anyone with a cellphone can access entire degrees worth of content from leading universities. This content can be used by small institutions to up their game at no cost. Individuals can fill education gaps.
I live in the wealthiest nation in the world in terms of money and tech and am just now after almost two decades getting a decent internet connection to my home despite untold billions in taxes, grants and utility fees being set aside to roll out the internet to rural areas.
Third world nations in South America jumped straight to cell phones and high speed internet via cell towers because it was mountainous and too expensive to run cable. Here the mountains are seen as a challenge for towers so they wait until they have enough population density to upgrade from copper to glass cable.
There are nations that are moving more directly to organic small farming techniques that will keep people working and protect their environment and avoid big food.
Yes in many ways it’s the West’s is stuck in a rut and unable to break free from systems that are no longer working for us.
Prepare for WWIII as Russia experiences their Pearl Harbour with Ukraine allegedly being blamed for the assassination attempt on Putin’s life, and yesterday’s bridge explosion which killed 7 and injured dozens. Now this:
Re: soil phosphate. I had my pasture soil tested years ago by Neil Kinsey’s lab (I was remineralizing) and the only nutrient that tested high was phosphate! These were abandoned pastures that had not had the hay taken off or grazed for years. They had been mowed (otherwise they would have reverted to forest) but the grass just left to rot. Called their lab and they said the rotted grass provided phosphate. So it might be possible to raise your phosphate levels by using composted grass/hay as well as manure.
Be careful when adding wood ash. Maybe not add it every year. As the fertility rises you may find lime is not needed. Ditto sulfur. I get very good crops with only composted manure (goat, rabbit, lots of straw/hay bedding). However, boron deficiency shows up with swedes so I don’t bother with them.
Final comment: don’t sweat the details on a soil test. Use good rotted animal manure/bedding and concentrate on those crops that you can grow and like.
I don’t think it takes super anything to fly drones into known military bases to attack sitting air craft.
Well yes, it requires that super power military to be super lame in protecting its own military bases.
Seriously, why does flying a drone into an air base have to require NATO. Who is to say the drone flights started thousands of miles away. The Ukrainian have been at war with Russia for years now. The have ample people who look and sound Russian and don’t need our spys either.
Where is it written that Russia can play war inside Ukraine, and in other regions and not expect it to reach inside it’s massive homeland.
Russia has know for three years it is fighting an enemy with drones. The radar at those bases should have been looking for drones.
Offensive drones are more advanced than anti-drone defenses.
Oh my gosh! Thank you! My soil PH is 4.9, Mississippi alluvium, all we can do well is grow grass and pine trees and cattle. When my son mows, hay is left drying in the sun. Ive just recently realized that grass is our superpower. Its what we can do well, given no outside inputs. With what you said about phosphate, i’ll have to read and watch a lot, but it sounds hopeful.
Gotta close the loop. Clovis culture survived this. Gotta take my sunshine and grass and turn it into abundance for my loved ones. I want grandbabies. I gotta hack the biosphere and make abundance from primary resources right now.

A crash is coming but it will likely be dressed up as something else. Something tells me that “crash” will be used to intensify “the great die off.” The low hanging fruit will be obliviated to near extinction levels (the old, the mentally and/or physically unwell, the poor and blacks) while the middle will also be hallowed out particularly as effects of the jab begins to take long term hold.
Maybe the jab will both cause and be blamed for the crash.
By cause, I mean in a last straw sort of way.
Perhaps a last minute common knowledge event will take place with regard to the jab.

I don’t think its optimal to assume ‘the blacks’ will be obliviated to near extinction levels. I’m sure there will be massive civil unrest if all those on ebt/food stamps/section 8 don’t get their usual payments, but that’s not specifically because of their skin tone, it’s because they depend on those payments. Anyone of any skin tone who depends on those payments, including the elderly and ‘the whites’ will also be in a world of hurt.
Living near a large population of ‘the blacks’ as I do, i know many of them who live at or near poverty are very resourceful in dealing with adversity. They, moreso than us (middle class), will be resilient in dealing with hardship because they already are long practiced at it every single day. They will get by if its possible to do so. My best friend is black, i consider her my sister, and I see how she manages in financial adversity. It’s impressive. I’d be mentally ill from the stress of it, but she deals with it patiently without losing her mind.
Now, the ones who resort to violence will likely deal with each other in a dog-eat-dog sad way, and I feel for them. They think they’re getting a free ride on the system or that they’re entitled to those payments, but they’re not imagining that those payments could ever end.
Even if they get paid 10 trillion dollars a month in Zimbabwe-style inflation adjusted dollars to their EBT cards, it won’t help them if there’s no food on the shelf to spend it on, and that will be a big problem.
My plan is to stay out in the boonies far away from that problem, and hopefully if they don’t have food, they’ll also not have gasoline to get out here to me. I don’t see them walking all the miles out of town into the woods to find me. And if they do, they’ve got about 20 miles of armed rednecks to wade through before they get to this particular armed redneck.
I wish them well, and I hope and pray they realize what’s about to happen and they make alternative plans like planting a garden and banding together to defend it. But nobody can force anyone to be wise and prepare. It’s gonna be sad, with little kids and old people going hungry and violence in their community. But we can’t control that. All we could do is tell them to prepare, but only the wise will listen, and the wise are likely already not on food stamps/EBT etc.

If you walk through black areas one thing you can’t miss. The massive levels of obesity, particularly around young women. With obesity comes all kinds of life shortening events not to mention child bearing becomes difficult if not life ending. Add into the growing levels of mental illness, buffeted by the ills that obesity brings.
Some black men are starting to get the “self induced” genocide. But they are in the minority and are shouted over by the Democratic Party that has zero interest in the problems of blacks other than to grift of their misery. This isn’t The Jefferson/Good Times/Sanford and Son tales of hood times on how they still found a way not to let the “man” keep them down. And BTW the health issues are also effecting young black women from more middle to professional class upbringing.
Of course people say “you’re racist” because anything that might actually help this group is always considered “racist.”
@cmartenson Did you already see this? Would love to hear your thoughts on whether geothermal from cheap desert land could actually change the picture? I read about this some years ago, but it was more exploratory then. Now, per this interview, huge plots of land are being grabbed up by Gates et. al. from Bureau of Land Management, etc.
And he says, in the video, there is a project in Nevada already producing – so it is not just hypothetical (which is what I was reading before). The journalist being interviewed says he has been following fracking stories for years and decided to look into this – maybe interview him?
TL;DR: Enhanced Geo Thermal uses fracking technology to pump water down thousands of feet, pick up the heat, and use it to drive steam turbines to generate, purportedly, HUGE amounts of electricity from remarkably small plots of land. And the land is currently worthless. And the energy output super clean and near infinite. Supposedly one of these projects has been snatched up by Google to power one of their new datacenters.

I agree obesity is a bad problem. I wonder if hunger will slim them down, or if they would die of fatty liver before they became a healthy weight? I see a lot of really big redneck women here, too. So many people eat too much of the wrong foods.
I was 30 pounds overweight last year. I’ve lost 20 pounds of it, but that last 10 pounds is really difficult to get rid of. Im staying under 30 grams of carbs per day and eating whole foods, meat, eggs, butter, and fresh produce eaten mostly while standing in the garden next to the plant i just took it from.
