This week, I appeared on Coffee and a Mike as well as Mario Nawfal’s show. First, Mike Farris, Dave Collum, and I discussed looming oil and energy shortages, falling inventories, the draining of the SPR, high U.S. debt, inflation risks, and related geopolitical tensions. Next, Mario and I discussed tight diesel supplies, the Iran conflict and midterms, Europe’s energy pinch and the Ukraine war, bond-market pressure, and China’s gold vaults for the yuan. Both videos are below.
This is irrelevant Chris, didn’t you see the president secured eleventy million billion barrels of crude from Venezuela?? And they’re all gonna be here next week, it’s the greatest deal in history!!
I am under the impression that US private investment will be used to extract the oil and profits will be split 45/55 and Venezuela will charge taxes and royalties on all of it.
What are typical arrangements like in terms of percentages, or is this totally out side the box?
100 years seems a bit long to me, in a Hong Kong sort of way.
To me, this is a, probably unintended, topdown message that when you are running out of something you deem important, it is ok to club the shit out of somebody and take their’s.
Everyone is fine with it when it is half a world away. Different story when your next door neighbor is doing it.
