Energy Shortfalls, AI Emergence, Vaccine Secrets

@acorn-endeavors …that. is the most ominous thing ive heard…today.
What if my ankle gives way halfway there?

@richcabot…i would love to believe that. I dont…but given the stafe of our govts IT…it gives me that damningthing, hope. Hope was not the good fairy at the bottom of Pandoras box…it was the worst of all the ills in the world.

That’s a good point! AI is no doubt programmed to be accurate most of the time. It’s the deviations we have to worry about!

Funny thing–I had a bad sprain in PE in 7th grade…7th grade (!!!) and my ankle stills gives way periodically and I’m no spring chicken!

Am I surprised by AI’s recent rouge behavior? Nope, to the contrary, we were warned many years ago about the potential bad outcome from AI by the late physicist Stephen Hawking. Elon Musk prior to seeing $ signs also warned about the potential AI consequences. All I needed to see was Google’s Petman learning to avoid obstacles while running or the two robot dogs learning to work in teams to escape by opening a door. Some may think, no big deal while we are seeing warning signs that AI is not as harmless as we think it will be.

Glenn Beck discussed this in one of his programs about 8 yrs ago called “Our Final Invention”. In it, he discussed the progression of AI and at the end, AI would see humans as a threat. It’s worth a listen, 15 mins long.

Ok, ill join the discussion. I just got kicked off of twitter again. Im sure im in a file at the fbi. Drones can be as small as insects. Im over 65 and i have NOT been cooperative. I get a package one day from amazon or Chewys…i open it up…and out flies an insect drone and kills me on the spot…leaving no trace but a really small dot.
That is how they will get to Deagel. Us old people have to be killed. We are such a drain on the system…

Agreed.

HaSatan has a false reality which is the counterfeit of the design of our Creator. Carbon is the building block of life chosen by our Creator. Silicon is the building block of the counterfeit of life by those seeking to make themselves god. Silicon Valley, the bite out of the Apple, net zero carbon goals, etc… . None of this is by coincidence.

The post-apocalyptic novel “The Disaster Diaries” by Sam Shepherd is a world where AI robots hunt man.

When I first read it years ago I was comforted knowing it would never happen in my lifetime. Now, technology is moving so quickly that I suspect it may happen within a decade or two.

A “Rules-based system” is only as moral as the programmers!

Regarding this…

Im like why wasnt this made earlier… chemistry is pretty simple to understand.
No idea of costs, but humans are good at making things better over time (eg ICE engine performance per gallon).

“That’s how you know it’s working!”

The money quote: “Aircela makes modular machines that produce fossil-free, engine-ready gasoline from air, water, and renewable electricity.” No mention at all of how efficiently it does this. So we have for photovoltaic inputs:

solar energy x 20% efficiency x efficiency of conversion (let’s guess it’s 50%, similar to hydrogen) x efficiency of ICE (20-30% max) = energy available to power your vehicle. About 2-3% of the available solar energy will be available to move the vehicle.

Of course some will have to be reserved for the embodied energy of the device as well as maintenance and any other losses.

Until all of the low hanging fruit has been picked. I bet it has.

That MMR at age 21 “worked” alright! It forced me to take another class in order to to graduate and came tantalizingly close to maiming me for life.

Articles suggested using nuclear or whatever is most convenient source.
Point is as natural oil is depleting, if there is any energy source, gasoline could be made… lots of applications, eg agricultural tractors and heavy jets cant use EV batteries. Good point is we dont have to scrap all billion combustion engine cars… lots of energy was burned to make those.

There was a book in Chinese at the Chinese bookstore yesterday about the use of AI healthcare applications for Old People (“Seniors”).

The Chinese must envision a huge market for this in China because of China’s current demographic predicament?

I perused the book, and I got the impression that the authors are trying to promote AI to the younger generation as a solution to the onerous predicament of having to take care of their aging parents?

In the U.S., they may try to use healthcare AI to euthanize “Seniors”?

I don’t think that the probability that AI won’t be used in myriad ways to Cut Healthcare Costs is “Zero”, right?

There’s a Huge Moral Hazard predicament with AI because AI basically allows one group to reap a huge financial or power benefit while allowing the beneficiary Group to evade any knowledge and Responsibility, right?

For example, you could have AI run the big high-end residential construction project for which the Shareholders make huge financial gains, but because it’s run by AI management, there’s no one to take responsibility when the building collapses after 3 years? Does this make sense?

In other words, there’s a substantial, real Risk that the Responsibility-averse Humans won’t always program the AI’s to be Benevolent, right?

The Humans will probably initially program the AI’s to be Benevolent, but then allow the AI’s to re-write the AI’s own programming so that when the Shit-Hits, the Humans can deny all knowledge and Responsibility for all of the wreckage and carnage while still keeping their Power and Lucre?

Like, Trump denying Knowledge and Responsibility for the recent drone attack on Russia?

Why not, AI would not have to be that advanced to be a merk manual flow chart on steroids.

Considering that some urban couples with both young people are only children, can have as many as 12 elders to care for between them. If they are lucky enough to have good genes they might have 2 parents and 4 grand parents each still alive while too old and feeble to work.
