Executive Disorder: Outrage, Guns, and Independence

US Politics

An idea has been put forth suggesting Donald Trump annul Joe Biden’s executive orders upon taking office on the grounds of “fraud, coercion, and lack of capacity.” This approach would involve treating Biden’s orders as if they never existed, potentially reversing a wide range of policies, including those related to oil exploration and international funding. The strategy draws on preestablished legal concepts of annulment and could shift the focus of legal challenges from new policies to reinstating previous ones.

Geopolitics

In Argentina, President Javier Milei’s decision to lower the legal gun ownership age from 21 to 18 has reportedly received public support amid rising crime rates. This policy shift indicates a change in attitudes toward gun ownership, particularly in crime-affected areas like Buenos Aires and Rosario. Critics argue that previous disarmament efforts have left citizens vulnerable, while Milei’s supporters believe legal gun ownership could enhance personal safety. The reforms are part of Milei’s broader economic strategy to address poverty and unemployment, which have been linked to crime. However, opposition parties and human rights groups have raised concerns about potential increases in violence and gun-related accidents, especially among younger individuals, citing the risk of firearms in the hands of inexperienced owners.

Meanwhile, the Nord Stream pipeline sabotage investigation continues as new evidence suggests possible Ukrainian involvement, contradicting initial accusations against Russia. The attack disrupted gas supplies to Europe and financially impacted Gazprom, Russia’s state-owned energy company. Despite initial theories that Russia might benefit from the sabotage, recent data indicates significant financial losses for Gazprom. The Wall Street Journal reported potential Ukrainian involvement, but these claims remain unverified, leaving the investigation unresolved.

In Romania, mass protests have erupted against what is perceived as EU intervention in national politics. Former EU Commissioner Thierry Breton’s comments about EU involvement in canceling Romanian elections have further fueled public outrage, with over 200,000 Romanians rallying against what they view as an infringement on their democratic process. The protests also highlight discontent with mainstream media, which some Romanians accuse of bias and misinformation. Breton’s comments have sparked concerns about potential EU intervention in Germany if the right-wing AfD party gains power, drawing parallels to the Romanian situation. However, Breton later clarified that his comments were taken out of context, emphasizing the EU’s role in ensuring fair elections rather than canceling them.

In Greenland, Trump’s interest in the country has reignited discussions about the island’s independence movement, with potential implications for U.S. strategic interests and rare earth mineral supplies. According to their Prime Minister, Greenland’s government has reportedly drafted a constitution in preparation for possible independence, stating, “It is now time to take the next step for our country.” Recent elections in Greenland have shown strong local support for independence, with pro-independence parties receiving significant backing.

Energy

President Joe Biden has issued last-minute sanctions on Russian oil, which have led to a surge in oil prices. These sanctions, targeting Russian oil companies and related entities, have disrupted global markets and raised concerns about potential supply deficits. Analysts suggest that while the sanctions introduce uncertainty, the market may stabilize if OPEC+ increases production. The sanctions have also prompted discussions about the future of Russian oil exports and the potential for further price increases if additional sanctions are imposed. Critics argue that the timing of the sanctions could complicate the incoming administration’s energy policy, while supporters view them as a necessary measure to pressure Russia.

That’s adorable. However, since 1995, the vasectomy AND castration the GOP gave itself makes it a ridiculous possibility since they’re incapable of doing anything that requires balls.

I’d point to pre-election expectations that all J6ers would be pardoned to now non-violent J6ers will only be “considered” and Tulsi’s pre-election belief that FISA was bad and we need to get rid of it to now she just LOVES FISA.

When the GOP actually does the things they say they’re going to do instead of fall down, roll over, bravely crap their pants, and cave, I’ll untape the rose colored glasses from the treads of my pickup tires. Until then, the joyous hooplah the GOP tells me I’m knee deep in keeps smelling a lot like the stuff my steers crap when they get a little too much protein.which smells exactly the same as when bulls do it.

GOP could phuck up a wet dream. I written this before, MI GOP is 100% responsible for Whitmere being elected Gov. Then in the reelection, they put up a candidate that was 100% absolute against abortion for any reason. In a bi-polar state like MI, that one statement alone secured Whitless reelection.

Yeah, I listened to Tulsi’s testimony on FISA section 704. She authored the bill to eliminate American citizens from ever being the subject of a FISA warrant per the 4th amendment. Of course it didn’t pass because someday the blob will need another Carter Page to destroy with their lies about him for the blob’s political gain. John Bolton twisted Tulsi’s words (what a shock) and called her a Russian agent, lying and saying she wanted non-citizen spies to never be investigated, leaving out the fact that she only meant wanting the US citizen part removed ala Carter Page which led to illegally spying on Trump in 2016. Two days ago however, she seemed to change her mind on 704. I hope I’m wrong but with the Senate still not scheduling her a hearing and demanding that if there is a hearing it must be closed door, her words may have been twisted by some conservative media outlets claiming she changed back to loving all things 704 in FISA. Another example of not hating the media enough. If it’s a media twist, I fell for it like a dipshit.

That said, I still have no expectations that any of Trump’s promises will ever happen.

I was very encouraged when he linked Jeff Sach’s piece on Netanyahu then very encouraged when Trump’s envoy called Bibi on Saturday (on his way to Israel) that he wanted to meet the prime minister that day, Saturday. Netanyahu’s aide said Bibi never does business ever on the Sabbath. About an hour later he met with Trump’s new envoy…on Saturday. I guess a New York real estate developer pal of Trump’s might have been a good choice for ME envoy.

We’ll see what happens after Monday.
