Episode #18 of The Signal Hour with Chris Martenson. The election proved that X (Twitter) is the signal, however with free speech comes the challenge of doing the work to find out what is true and what is noise. Chris does the work for you in this weekly live stream talking about topics that are critical to our future.
Executive Summary
There’s a lot to unpack in this episode, where Evie and I dive into the ideological spectrum and the current state of affairs. We explore the absurdity of some political decisions, the emotional reactions to job accountability, and the broader implications of corruption and inefficiency in government. It’s a candid look at how these issues affect us all and what might be coming down the line.
Ideological Rigidity and Integrity
I talked about the importance of integrity, which means saying what you mean, doing what you say, and being willing to change your mind when new information comes along. This is crucial as we navigate the ideological spectrum, where rigidity often leads to nonsensical outcomes. We discussed how some political decisions, like those in Wisconsin, seem disconnected from the real issues people face, such as corruption and insider trading.
Job Accountability and Emotional Reactions
We touched on the emotional reactions to job accountability, particularly in the federal workforce. The expectation to perform and justify one’s role is standard in the real world, yet it seems to provoke strong feelings of intimidation and harassment among some. This highlights a broader issue of entitlement and the need for accountability in all sectors.
Corruption and Government Inefficiency
The episode delved into the pervasive corruption and inefficiency within government systems. We discussed how fraud and waste are rampant, and the need for a painful adjustment period to address these issues. This includes recognizing the value of jobs and ensuring they contribute meaningfully to society.
Key Data
21 million people lost their jobs during the pandemic, highlighting the arbitrary nature of what was deemed “essential.”
The Biden IRS leaked taxpayer information of over 405,000 Americans.
Senator Whitehouse funneled millions to his wife’s nonprofit, raising questions about ethical governance.
Predictions
We will go through a period of painful adjustment as we address fraud and inefficiency, impacting GDP.
A tax revolt may be on the horizon if corruption isn’t addressed and accountability isn’t enforced.
Implications
People may start questioning the value of paying taxes if the system remains fraudulent and unaccountable.
There is a growing divide in ideological beliefs, making it harder to find common ground.
Recommendations
Consider how your job adds value to society and seek roles that align with your skills and potential.
Stay informed and critically evaluate the information presented by media and government sources.
How do i join the real time chat during chris’s lives?
I must be tech challenged as i have never figured what app is being used to send messages live?
Thanks
Rick
As the saying goes: “FAFO”. Trump’s picks are not messing around. The adults came home and found out that the kids were throwing a party while the parents were on vacation.
Nice. NSA sex chats on the taxpayers dime and on the quiet, dark, criminal NSA platform. I cannot wait to see more crimes exposed and the day NSA is brought down and their playground/complex razed.
Then scroll down to the Watch the Video
At the bottom of that picture there is a Click Here if you want to join the live stream. That opens Odysee with the video and the livestream chat is on the right.
The courteous thing would have been using their black budgets for these types of activities. I guess its a demonstration of how brazen they had become.
Thanks for the instructions. I am actually not seeing “Click Here” if you want to join the live stream and the stream is indeed still live it seems.
I can click the live button though in that window and it will take me right up to the current conversation. To be clear, I am watching from the embedded window from the link you provided. I am using Chrome as my browser. Maybe I’ll try from Edge and see if I observe what you are mentioning. – Confirmed no different on Edge, it was worth a shot.
Thanks regardless, I have often wondered the same thing, but I rarely get to view the live stream and most often consume them after the fact. So, I’ve never had the opportunity to participate live.
The “Join the discussion,” button does indeed take me here though!
Hey, I noticed something when I transitioned the live stream to my cell phone, I did see an overlay that says click here to chat. Perhaps there is something on my PC preventing the overlay from showing up.
Liberals in Canada hate free speech and all suffer TDS and profit from the kind of kickbacks and gov/bureaucratic grift that DOGE is exposing. They would love to ban Twitter and might try to do so by reviving the crazy online hate bills that died when Turdo suspended parliament.
Neo-socialist politicians like Crystia Freeland, who is running to be leader of the Liberals, are banking on “divide and conquer” strategy to try to escape the consequences of their actions. Every politician in Canada is running against Trump, and betting on low-information voters, who are told daily that Trump and Musk are unhinged. You cannot hate our media enough. https://x.com/acoyne/status/1894816719899668975
Karen Kingston says RFK will pull the Covid vaccine within the next month. She’s on my Covid Hero top shelf along with Chris.
She was beyond confident RFK would be confirmed.
If you log in before the stream starts, there is a notice that says click here to enter live chat. This does not seem to be available once the stream has started.
Additionally, If I get in with the stream and then my Internet connections fails, I am unable to re-enter with the live chat.
Your milage may very however this is my experience. Additionally they only seem to respond to the chat on Oddysee or whatever it is that the link takes you to. The live from X chat does not seem to be used.
Additionally that oddysee link reappears once the stream is over and seems to oersost until they make the replay available.
You know, I don’t want to stir shit up here with the crypto peeps. I could have bought bitcoin for $1 and didn’t and that alone can get me accused of sour grapes.
But I keep thinking that the talk about the admin being crypto friendly adjacent to other talk about a sovereign wealth fund that could contain bitcoin is exactly what I would do if I was planning on revaluing Gold and needed a distraction.
I’ll now go back to thinking about what 1,000 bitcoin could have bought me now…
