Gerrymandering Games, Digital IDs, and Deep State Drama

Originally published at: https://peakprosperity.com/the-signal-hour-today-at-1pm-et-12/

I’m thrilled to share some insights from the latest episode of the Signal Hour. First off, apologies for my rugged appearance—I’ve just returned from a week in the wilderness, and Evie convinced me to keep the scruffy look. So, if you’re into getting your info from a guy who looks like he’s living on a street corner, I’m that guy.

We kicked off with some heavy political developments. I’m intrigued by Tulsi Gabbard’s move to revoke security clearances for several high-profile figures like Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and Hillary Clinton, among others, under a POTUS directive. This feels like step one in a larger accountability push. Then there’s Representative James Comer and the House Oversight Committee issuing subpoenas for depositions from a rogues’ gallery including the Clintons, Merrick Garland, and Robert Mueller. These are people I believe have done incredible damage to our institutions, possibly even committing treason or sedition. But will anything come of it? The HOC has investigative powers, subpoena authority, and can recommend contempt of Congress, but I’m skeptical. I predict responses like “I plead the fifth” or “I don’t recall” from folks like Hillary. Enforcement often lands in Democrat-stronghold courts, so I’m not holding my breath for real consequences.

Switching gears, we took a dip back into the Epstein saga. A leaked FBI document suggests Jeffrey Epstein was an informant before his 2007 sweetheart plea deal, which let him off with minimal punishment and no asset forfeiture. This reeks of a quid pro quo—he provided info, and they protected him. What info? We don’t know, and the FBI claims there are no files, which I find hard to believe. I’m pushing for full transparency; we need to declassify everything to rebuild trust. Meanwhile, connections to figures like Larry Summers keep surfacing, and new photos of Epstein’s mansion reveal disturbing details like cameras in his bedroom. Yet, no one’s meeting with victims—only the traffickers. It’s sickening.

We also touched on gerrymandering, a blatant power grab by both parties. Democrats started this mess in California, hijacking an independent commission to steal House seats. Now, states like Texas are retaliating, and figures like Gavin Newsom and J.B. Pritzker are doubling down with hypocritical outrage while their own maps are absurdly rigged. It’s all kabuki theater—neither side cares about fair elections; they just want control. This uniparty system is failing us, delivering unaffordable living and questionable election results while ignoring real issues.

Lastly, the digital surveillance state looms large. The EU is rolling out digital IDs and CBDCs with chilling features like spending limits, programmable restrictions, and no anonymity. It’s control, pure and simple, modeled after China’s system. The UK’s already a police state, arresting people for causing “anxiety” online while ignoring real crime. I’m horrified by this erosion of freedom. Evie and I are resisting—no smart TVs, minimal phone use—but it’s tough. I believe this overreach will break the system; complex economies can’t be micromanaged without chaos.

The rush to implement Digital ID is on!

What will non-compliance look like for you, Chris and Evie?

The George Santos interview by Tucker provides chapter and verse about just how bad things are in Congress. Wikipedia makes sure to call him a “convicted felon” in the first sentence so … they’re covering something up for sure. He’s “talking about fight club”.

I think watching the news will be more entertaining if I mentally substitute “fight club” for “Congress.”

Chris and Evie,
CONGRATULATIONS on the new pup! If you would like, it would be my pleasure to gift you one of my metal/wood dog portraits to put on its house (once you come up with a name ).

It’s a small, side business I recently started. You can see some examples of some of the portraits here (also on IG and Facebook if you prefer):

All the more reason to stock your homes with usable goods. Barter might become a thing if one wants privacy. Having doubles of needful things on hand might help if one is put on restrictions.

Owning durable items that will last for a lifetime is advisable. Anything that is likely to become “naughty” like kitchen knives, multi tools, potato peelers and weeding cycles, and fish scalers as examples should be purchased while they still can be.

Buying used with cash could be an important strategy.

He is a wonderful example of Gerrymandering in Florida. This was Corine Brown’s district. “Go Gatahs”. IYKYK

What Smotrich actually said is “Nobody will let us cause two million civilians to die of hunger, even though it might be justified and moral until our hostages are returned.”

Israel is providing food to the people of Gaza, although Hamas regularly shoots people in line and the occasional aid worker, and despite the fact that Israeli hostages are being starved and tortured. Imagine that Mexico invaded California, slaughtered 30,000 civilians and took hostages (both actions war crimes) and treated them in such an abysmal manner that half died (murder) including babies, and then the world demanded we feed Mexicans while American hostages were starved and forced to dig their own graves.

The UN and MSM are howling about what Smoltrich said, while routinely ignoring calls by Hamas/Gazans for genocide against Jews. In short, the usual double standard.

I think every government on the planet wants to employ the totalitarian surveillance model, but not every populace is set up for the implementation. Many countries still have citizens that are more independent even if it doesn’t appear that way. Less developed nations especially.

Asia is interesting because I think the cultures default to putting trust in the government, but they aren’t as atomized at the individual and group level. The biggest players in Asia, unfortunately, have been hit the hardest by tech disrupting their people (China, Japan, Korea) but Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam still have a more active local culture.

“We bring in aid because there is no choice,” Smotrich said at a conference in Yad Binyamin hosted by the right-wing Israel Hayom outlet. “We can’t, in the current global reality, manage a war. Nobody will let us cause 2 million civilians to die of hunger, even though it might be justified and moral, until our hostages are returned.

The thing I find very odd:

Hamas kills maybe a thousand Israelis in a let-it-happen attack = DEATH!
Israeli government kills tens of thousands of Israelis via forced-vaxxing = Crickets.

Senile Joe/Autopen killed 1.5 million Americans. Crickets there too.

Its almost as if these “wars” are started in order distract us from the deaths inflicted on the little people by their own governments.

Sorry, I’ve read and listened to dozens of interviews and watched dozens more videos and none of what you write here comports with any of it.

By far, this was the most informative and believable:

Next:

I really don’t see how that adds any useful softening or context.

If my wife is taken hostage by a set of people in a unit in a large apartment complex, I would not consider it morally justifiable to kill everyone in the building’s many other units for really obvious moral reasons.

Collective punishment is not ok, and I’m going to resist efforts to normalize it here.

This was originally posted on RT.com yesterday. Israeli settlers attacked Russian diplomats. As Aaron Mate and Max Blumenthal have said that Israel is a very crazy and unhinged State.

With regard to Chris’s previously stated belief that “integrity is the willingness to be re-educated”, I have to wonder: does cognitive dissonance preclude integrity?

My wild arse guess? Integrity precludes cognitive dissonance. This is based on observing both family and friends.

Werner would be a great guest.

I’d like to see a deep dive on some technical issues rather than something more introductory.

For instance, I’ve not heard him discuss Austrian economics and I’m curious how his views align with Rothbard Menger Hayek von Mises et al.

What does he see as a moral or proper means to rein in rampant credit creation?

Can the free market provide a workable solution? That is: get government regulations and bailouts out of the way and then banks have a self-interested incentive to limit credit creation.

How would credit creation work in a gold or silver backed monetary system (no fiat money, no fractional reserve banking)?

He’s talked about the possibility of prosperity for everyone if we fix the credit creation issues and make it more equitable (my paraphrase). Has he looked into peak oil and peak natural resources and their tie to economic growth? How can we have perpetual economic growth in a finite resource world?

Edit to add:
I’d also like his detailed take on how the US handles the debt.

Are we facing no option but default of some kind, with some form of monetary reset nearly certain?

How would that play out?

What does revaluation of USGOV or Fed-owned hood mean, in detail?

But what do you do when it is normalized in all the surrounding villages and they are coming after you? This is what I struggle with. The Middle East is farther along in the timeline. When the drug cartels or the Islamists take over entire towns in Texas, what does the town nextdoor do?

I think Europe is somewhere between the Middle East and America?
