Good News Friday: RFK Jr. Ends COVID Vaccine Liability Protections, Tucker & MTG Push Third Party

Health

Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is ending the emergency declarations that had extended liability protections for COVID-19 vaccine, drug, and device makers. The vaccine and drug declarations end June 29, 2027, and device declarations end December 26, 2026. Critics, including a Washington Examiner op-ed, warn that removing liability protections could hinder future medical innovation.

Meanwhile, Kaiser Permanente agreed to pay $358,000 and revise its religious-accommodation procedures to settle 12 discrimination charges filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission regarding its 2021 COVID-19 vaccine mandate. The agreement requires one year of EEOC monitoring, employment-opportunity training, and updated accommodation processes. The company admits no liability.

In other news, President Trump signed an executive order on June 25 directing the USDA, HHS, and EPA to expand regenerative agriculture practices and examine cumulative chemical exposures in the food supply. The order enlarges the existing $700 million Regenerative Agriculture Pilot Program, which has produced over 67,000 whole-farm conservation plans covering 49 million acres. The USDA also issued a Regenerative Feedstock Rule linking soil-restoration practices to biofuel markets. Critics have described the order as a potential “bait-and-switch” that could advance gene-edited soil microbes and related tools.

Lastly, researchers at the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology reported in Gut Microbes that a bacterium isolated from Japanese tree frog intestines eliminated tumors in a mouse colorectal cancer model after one intravenous dose. The treatment outperformed standard checkpoint inhibitors and chemotherapy in the study.

US Politics

Tucker Carlson stated that he plans to help build a third political party focused on domestic issues and the welfare of ordinary Americans rather than foreign conflicts, emphasizing that the U.S. government’s first priority should be its own citizens. Separately, Marjorie Taylor Greene also revealed active discussions for a new third-party movement, asserting that Americans “have been betrayed” by the two-party system and outlining the We The People Party as anti-corruption, anti-mandates, pro-accountability, and pro-decentralization. Greene noted that building such a movement would require time and broad involvement from the American people rather than quick electoral cycles.

Turning to judicial news, in a 6-3 ruling in Chatrie v. US, the Supreme Court held that geofence warrants are subject to Fourth Amendment protections. Additionally, in a 6-3 decision in West Virginia v. B.P.J., the Supreme Court ruled that states may limit girls’ school sports to biological females without violating Title IX or the Equal Protection Clause.

Following the Supreme Court decision to uphold birthright citizenship, Senator Bernie Moreno introduced the Immigration Stabilization Act of 2026, and Senator Rand Paul filed an actual constitutional amendment. Moreno’s legislation would revise Senator Harry Reid’s 1993 bill that would exclude children born to mothers who are neither citizens nor lawful residents. However, critics argue that birthright citizenship is enshrined in the 14th Amendment and cannot be altered by statute alone. Also following the SCOTUS decision, Assistant Attorney General Colin McDonald directed prosecutors to prioritize birth-tourism investigations.

Meanwhile, the Justice Department sued California on July 1, arguing that Assembly Bill 1127 and the state’s handgun roster violate the Second and Fourteenth Amendments. California contends that such pistols are not protected “arms” under the Second Amendment or qualify as “dangerous and unusual” weapons, and Gov. Gavin Newsom criticized the lawsuit as politically motivated.

In law enforcement news, Federal authorities arrested ten defendants in a 65-count superseding indictment charging sex trafficking along South Los Angeles’s Figueroa Corridor. Prosecutors identified 51 alleged victims. A motel manager faces separate charges for laundering more than $64,000 in proceeds.

In other news, the House voted 420-0 to require preservation and public release of records on taxpayer-funded sexual misconduct settlements involving members of Congress.

Privacy & Surveillance

Residents in multiple cities have removed Flock Safety automated license-plate readers. Two campaigns, Operation Flockout and Knock the Flock, aim to eliminate all such cameras nationwide by 2027. However, some argue that the cameras do not remove liberty and serve legitimate law enforcement purposes.

Artificial Intelligence

Local governments in Florida, Pennsylvania, and Missouri approved temporary pauses on hyperscale data-center projects. DeSoto County, Florida, enacted a one-year moratorium. Brookville, Pennsylvania, passed a 180-day moratorium, and the Pennsylvania House voted 197-5 to repeal a related sales-tax break. Springfield, Missouri, is considering a 120-day pause.

Epstein Files

District Judge Emmet Sullivan ordered the Department of Justice to release additional unredacted Epstein records by July 2 or justify any withholdings. Separately released transcripts include statements from Bill Gates to the House Oversight Committee regarding his contacts with Epstein. However, the DOJ requested a two-month extension, citing risks to victims’ identities.

Wow! $64,000 whole dollars!!! While any human trafficking is horrific, I’m not buying it because when it comes to the elite pedophiles:

Re the cameras: I always wondered why civil disobedience didn’t start when they instituted the red light cameras. Here on Long Island, in Suffolk County only, the red light cameras are no longer operational. The story is, this was an “accident” because the county forgot to “renew” the policy. I smell Mafia, gotta love em sometimes. It’s so refreshing to not worry about this shit anymore and it has been proven they create more accidents, because lights flash when they go off and it is so freakin annoying and distracting. But when I veer over into Nassau, I’m like “Oh shit I have to watch it here.” Because they will get you if you just clip it. It happened to me twice.

This is an example of peaceful resistance. But I fear they gonna catch someone and make an example out of them.

Third party: Long time coming.

I’m serious about the garden this year. Got 3 full 40’ish rows of potatoes, 2 partial rows, and a full row of sweet potatoes. We’re finally building a basement root cellar this weekend because these bad boys need a home once harvested.

That’s an impressive suburban backyard garden. Looks more like a mini farm! Congrats. I’m jealous as my property is too small for a garden.

I lost my mind starting seeds and winter sowing, starting slips, etc. Ran out of room and expanded into 5 gallon buckets turned into self-watering containers and planted the edges outside the fence.

But before I get too cocky, our great tan hunter cat has already caught 2 voles. It’s her job to protect the root crops. Never count your chickens until they hatch!

That’s awesome. But also a lot of work, I know. But satisfying. Mrs. Irish and I had a small garden for 15 years before we moved to our current place which has no room for a garden.

How much potatoes do you think you can get from this planting? I’m thinking of my Irish ancestors who lived on little else but potatoes 200 years ago. That makes an excellent SHTF food pantry/ root cellar.

Hey Joey, I’m so mad, Gina got a ticket for runnin a red light because some jerk was gonna rear-end her. It made her cry and ya know, I don’t like to see her cry. We gotta do somethin about this.

J: Yeah boss. It made Gina cry, whadaya want?

D: I dunno, got any ideas?

J: Boss, ya know Tony got that contract don’t ya?

D: What? Oh yeah. Talk to Tony, he shoulda never done that. It made my wife cry. Tell him that.

J: Ahhhh, he won’t care. He made a lotta cash off that deal awready.

D: Probably that weenie Weinstein came up with the bright idea. Go pay him a visit.

J: Ok boss.

We’re thinking about 100 lbs per row. So a little over 400 lbs. My German ancestors ate a metric fuck-ton of potatoes too! We harvested one plant that looked less than stellar a couple of days ago. Guessing 2 or 3 lbs of new potatoes but I forgot to weigh them. I’ll have to start keeping track.

You’re Beethoven’s Ninth with a full orchestra at Saratoga and I’m an out of tune guitar missing four strings playing Louie-Louie to my annoyed pond fish in comparison. Damn, that’s a nice garden. Now excuse me while my inadequacy makes me hang myself in the garage.

You wouldn’t want to know how many times I had things that needed planting and died waiting for a spot to get prepped, or got eaten or completely disappeared by critters or ……

This year the garden is a priority. That’s why it looks good. For now.
