Gripping Tragedy In The Wake of Hurricane Helene

FEMAs new ‘partner’ reaching out and messaging folks speaking out:

I agree. By resistance I mean that the people are not trusting that FEMA is there to help them, and there is a certain hostility that FEMA feels. Not that they are hunting FEMA down. And I’m glad there is resistance and pushback: FEMA’s “help” is shameful.

I knew TPTB would spin it. Because they are desperate to crush any resistance or even disagreement.

Remember when there was just truth and lies? And sometimes, partial truth? Now we have misinformation, disinformation, and probably soon malinformation, subinformation, and biasinformation…

Just listened to the live Margo in NC update apparently all the FEMA home assessments have been paused due to the “threat” they experienced. This is really bad for the people desperately awaiting these assessments.

Sounds like the little people have had about enough!

How come there are no photos or videos showing all these dead?

I have talked to people that do have photos. No one wants to share them out of respect for their neighbors. I don’t blame them. There is a strong sense of community and communal loss and devastation. Also many people are still presumed buried in the sediment. If entire roadways have been washed away into pieces you can only imagine what mass recovery efforts would be like. 150 people were camping at the Toe River campground. The entire campground was wiped away. The waters rose so fast there wasn’t time to evacuate. Asheville has a pretty large homeless population that lives along the river. The devastation to that community alone is immense. I’m beginning to think it’s like a lot of things in America. As someone living 2 hours from the disaster and talking to people daily in it I feel like “how is this not a bigger deal” but I can imagine what the folks with ranches on the border feel like as they are witnessing the floods of people coming into the country. Nothing matters or feels significant till it happens to your own community. Then it hits home and you are left asking; where is the outrage??

I live in the same County as Chimney Rock.

I go in and out of Asheville often and one of my kiddos works there a couple days a week.

There was a a huge huge homeless population in Asheville NC. I cannot imagine less than a hundred dead. I have spoken with several over the years and was told about how the woods around the strip malls and such are full. The downtown is a strange place to be at 5:00 in the winter. Hundreds of folks march into the area with backpacks and bed rolls and start setting up for the night. They chat with each other as if they are well aquainted neighbors. They stand in groups large and small and chatter while waiting for shop keepers to lock their doors. Once locked, every square inch under cover between the side walk and the recessed business entrances is paved with bedrolls and sleeping bags.

Seemingly every part of Asheville had homeless people, especially the areas that were hard hit by flooding.

I’ve seen many photos and videos of property damage and loss. I’ve not seen one hard, objective piece of evidence that confirms official death estimates are severely low (say 10x or more). Just hearsay. Just “I heard from this person who knows a guy.”

There were rumors Chimney Rock was going to be plowed over. Not true.

I get it. Lots of loss. Lots of raw emotion.

And yet if folks want to make claims about official malfeasance (not just incompetence) then we need hard evidence. Period.

I hear you. I do think this spreadsheet is one piece of evidence. Hurricane Helene People Finder

I talked to Margo in NC and kinda asked her a similar question—/ she said a lot of the police/fire dept that are working on recovery are also afraid of losing their jobs if they speak out which also made sense to me. I started out asking the people up there to take photos to “prove the media was lying” my personal opinion now is I don’t need to see them to believe the eye witness accounts of the devastation:

My local group sent a load of supplies down there today. No details but I will say the situation is pretty strange and I do not trust a damn thing I hear from “Official Sources” just saying, something strange I haven’t seen before. More to the story than meets the eye me thinks.

Whereas , I can respect that sentiment. I can’t help but think of the rumors about concentration camps during ww2. Just rumors . People couldn’t believe what they were hearing, then came the pictures and everyone believed ( well almost everyone)

If people are dead ,stuck hanging in trees , and the like. Those pictures, as gruesome,as they maybe be . Would be the shock that would galvanize the nation.

Chimney rock was leveled by the rushing waters. A huge amount of the debris were washed down river into Lake Lure.

Lake Lure is a man made lake with a dam. The extreme rainfall quickly overflowed the dam, as unprecedented amounts of rainfall flowed into the lake via river, and slopes. The Dam gates were opened Thursday due to rains previous to the hurricane land fall in Florida.

Some parts of Chimney rock village lost the buildings on both sides of the road as well as the road it’s self.

Asheville was hit harder. Proportionately there is more mountain to river and creek surface area. Two stories of water flowed in some areas. Areas surrounding Asheville had mudslides and loss of life.

There are small pockets throughout NC where mudslides and swollen rivers took out homes and caused loss of life.

In many areas people were left isolated as there was not a single road or bridge left intact. There were some instances where mules and horses were used to get supplies to people.

Podcaster debunks alleged threats against FEMA. Looks like an effort to generate civil war, an excuse to use Biden’s new directive allowing lethal force against Americans.

The woman in the video you posted that talks about “60 families” is the one I’m trying to get set up with an interview. Her and her husband have been doing great work.

So Dr James doesn’t even live in NC. She runs a medical clinic in Iowa

and volunteered her and her staff’s time to come set up a field hospital at an airport in NC. After the story broke of the 15 people dying of hypothermia (according to Dr Molly who is treating patients in hard to rescue areas) yday and went viral what was the media and Coopers response??? “This is misinformation and didn’t happen”

This is the playbook. Every time something happens that makes them look bad just deny and label as misinformation. It’s really scary. Why would Dr James lie about this??? She certainly hasn’t said it wasn’t true. She was a frontline Covid Dr and spoke out against many of the mandates and treatments recommended and really seems to be well regarded. It just doesn’t make any sense. (Dr Mollie James twitter report from yday: x.com)

There are many WeatherUnderground weather stations along I-40 in that area and the low temperature is down to near freezing. also, select a station and scroll to the temp chart and you can select previous day chart. With near freezing temps hypothermia is real if you are not well protected.

That one guy…

That one guy was open carrying a side arm as he went car to car in a traffic stops created by tree removal and utility work on HWY 64/74 and perhaps other locations.

He was mouthing off about how he and his friends were hunting for FEMA to set things straight. He would handle and point out his weapon and the fact he was armed while telling his intentions to drivers as he inquired about the location of any FEMA workers the drivers might be aware of.

He did this to more than one car line up and LEO were aware of his actions but did not have identifying information. He disclosed his Facebook handle to a woman I know while she was in a traffic stop. She was concerned about his rant and what his intentions might be, especially because he said others were going to go with him armed to set things right with fema, and she contacted authorities. The Facebook detail allowed them to ID him, his vehicle and so forth.

She later felt bad and called me. I told her that if he was merely expressing anger and had not made threats they would not have had grounds to keep him beyond questioning. I suggested that since he was out on bail, that there were actually charges against him. Who knows he might have had warrants or created a weapons related charge l, a dui or something like that. I have not looked into it further,… not my circus. The local LEO are very pro 2A and would understand a large helping of anti government sentiment when they encounter it, and I feel they are quite fair for the most part.

Thanks. Here’s that podcaster’s followup from today (or yesterday) – NC Residents Expose FEMA Doing This & More (youtube.com). Not sure what to make of it but pretty interesting. I have a collection of interesting podcasts on all that but I guess I’m only allowed to post one link here at a time. There are the rumors about the residents protesting Albemarle taking over Spruce Pine and Black Mountain where the massive lithium and pristine crystal deposits are; so they had to be destroyed so they could be taken by eminent domain. Albemarle’s major shareholders are Blackrock and Vanguard, in which Emhoff is a major investor. But to go down that rabbit hole, you have to prove that it’s possible to control the direction of hurricanes. Bill Gates apparently has a patent on that though. The group my contact at Lady Blue Farm is working with talked to Dr Mollie (who seems to have some connection with the FLCCC) and Dr Mollie confirmed the story was indeed true. It’s honestly terrifying how they are lying about everything in NC. TikTok - Make Your Day
