I had a chance to sit down with retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel Daniel L. Davis — a 21-year combat veteran who served four deployments to the front lines of Iraq and Afghanistan – to tap his deep military experience about what Trump’s remaining Iranian options really are.
At this point, they are ‘bad’ and ‘worse.’
Either Trump has to approach negotiations from a place of ‘give and take,’ or he’s got to escalate the war on the hope that the Strait can be forced open.
The first option seems out of Trump’s emotional wheelhouse, and the second stands almost no chance of succeeding. At least, not in time.
The ticking clock is the steadily draining oil inventories of the world. Those provide at most a few months before the global recession gives way to a global depression (and possibly famine). That’s not a lot of time to secure a believable and durable peace in the region.
We also discussed what an impatient Trump might do under such circumstances. Daniel believes some advisors are whispering nuclear options into Trump’s ear. Should Trump go down that path, the US will turn into an international pariah and open up the prospect of the US being shunned and sanctioned by the world.
Daniel takes the same No-BS-Just-The-Facts approach that we here at Peak Prosperity admire and follow.

I found this very interesting and in depth post on Substack from Richard Medhurst
I find that this article makes sense of what appears to be illogical decisions. (Part of his thesis may be in conflict with Chris’ in that he states that the U.S. produces sufficient energy to sell to the world.)
I would enjoy hearing the community’s thoughts on this article.
The Alliance Fairfax and CS Anthem got out yesterday. (I am on one of those) While yes, it is not economically a big deal, it was a big deal politically because it was for American ships.
We were told it was a very important for centcom and the president specifically, and they used a lot of assets for it. Including marines, destroyers, f35s, etc.
Professor Jiang Xueqin said, “that America was once the policeman of the world and now it has become the pirate of the world”.
I tend to agree that the moves the US has made is to become the #1 supplier of oil to the world which would hurt Russia (exporter) and China (importer and the world’s mfg). What Trump wants to do is to move all the chess pieces in his favor.
This just goes along with the Monroe Doctrine that the US would not allow another hegimon in the world to compete with.
“…to tap his deep military experience about what Trump’s remaining Iranian options really are.

The Shaman, Michael Yon, says that Trump is not really in charge and that Trump is just a disposable “Condom”, i.e, cover for the Elites to do their Dirty Work which throughout History has always been about “Routes, Resources, and Ideology” (Human Resources”).
I would also add “Pu…sy”, but only because Powerful Men really like P…sy. For example, the ancient Chinese “Beauty” 西施
The erudite, sagacious Dave Collum’s recently recommended book (“Weird Scenes Inside the Canyon”) mentions the town “Winter Haven”, Florida where Michael Yon grew up. Albeit, not as important to the American Satanic Elites running everything as “Laurel Canyon” in Los Angeles, it seems that the town may have a link to the Elite Satanists? Michael Yon once said that his Grandmother was also prescient and that she could foresee the future.
Presumably, Michael Yon’s Third Pillar of History “Ideology” also includes “Satanism”?
Michael Yon says that this rendition of the War of History opening with “The Iran War” is just getting started and that the Elites’ Set Up for the nascent War Chapter has been fermenting for a very long time.
Thank you for having an interview/discussion with Lt Col Daniel Davis. I have found him to be an excellent source of information and opinion and listen to him most days.
Michael Yon recently lamented that “the way that the Chinese fight is to become their Enemy.”
In other words, the Chinese try to subvert you.
Michael Yon further lamented that the standard operating procedure for the Chinese to subvert their Adversary is to use their women to intermarry with the adversary and thereby take over the adversary “like Kudzu”. Strange metaphor….
All that I can say is Thank God for Chinese “Kudzu” because American post-Feminist, gender ambiguous, transgender “Kudzu” Sucks.
Dave Collum once empathized with young American males by lamenting the situation confronting young American males in which “the only game in town are transgender women.”
True story….
It’s horrifying beyond imagination…And, it’s ineluctably All True….
Perhaps Chris can get an interview with former CIA analyst Larry Johnson. Johnson just broke the news when he says (2:55-3:25 min mark) that according to his UAE sources, Iran will be attacked on May 7th.
Didn’t Larry Johnson once do a YouTube interview about the US’s woeful unpreparedness to fight in Iran while wearing a colorful “Hawaii Shirt” and smoking a cigar?
Larry Johnson probably was also wearing shorts and sandals and was drinking a highball during the morose interview?
The 25 year old immature kid with a Schizoid Personality Disorder in Australia yesterday said re: the burgeoning Iran War that the Iran War so far “hasn’t affected anything except that the price of petrol is going through the roof.”
Given that the price of Oil is an integral component of literally Everything, I thought to myself: “Holy Shitballs!”
Schizoid personality disorder (ScPD) is a mental health condition characterized by a pervasive pattern of detachment from social relationships, a limited range of emotional expression, and a preference for isolation. Individuals typically show little interest in intimacy, social interactions, or praise, often appearing cold or aloof. It differs from social anxiety because there is no fear of social interaction, only a lack of desire for it.
I want to see a morose YouTube interview with Larry Johnson in which he lambasts to his interlocutor, the now defunct Alex Jones, Trump and the Pentagon military “Brass” while smoking a cigar in his Hawaiian shirt and drinking a highball while getting a Lap Dance by a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader.
What kind of remorse would have to be shown by a person who trashes Donald Trump and subsequently Trump is able to bring about peace in the Middle East.
If the plan is to replace “us” with AI then that will be a pretty shitty world because then TPTB might come face to face with the warning of famed Stephen Hawking who said that there is the possibility that AI will get to the point where it no longer needs humans for their existence and quite possibly will view humans as a threat.
I remember watching in 1973 the movie Soylent Green. How crazy that things have gotten to the point where that movie isn’t as fictional as it was back in '73.
For many years I have come to the belief that the construct of industrial civilization has been a “giant ponzi scheme” and in order to keep the ponzi scheme going the system needed more and more recruits i.e. babies to pay into the ponzi scheme.
Well, what has finally taken place is that the system has siphoned the new recruits who were to pay into the system where instead of being productive members of society, they actually became a burden because the system now had to support them via entitlements.
In other words, we are now being viewed as bacteria who have outgrown the petri dish.
Oil for the world!
Oil for the AI Datacenters!
Oil for American citizens…oh well, about that, see…well, there’s not that much to go around. No oil for you!
I guess they figure when we’re all dead and there’s no tax revenue, they’ll just keep printing trillions per year and Rule The Universe FOREVER!
