JD Vance: No Unity With Those Who Celebrate Murder

US Politics

In the latest developments of the Charlie Kirk assassination, alleged assassin Tyler Robinson reportedly confessed on Discord before surrendering. Investigations into Robinson’s motives indicate possible online radicalization and conflicting political affiliations, with some reports suggesting connections to leftist ideologies and others mentioning potential foreign influence, though no conclusive evidence has been confirmed. Additionally, sources claim Kirk had faced pressure from pro-Israel groups and U.S. allies of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu regarding his stance on Israel, including a reported meeting with billionaire Bill Aman. Netanyahu issued public comments shortly after the assassination, while speculation about event security and alternative motives has emerged, though these remain unverified. Further balancing this narrative, a statement from Netanyahu’s office denied any involvement in Kirk’s death, reaffirming respect for Kirk’s historical support for Israel, as reported by The Jerusalem Post.

Political figures and commentators have responded to the incident. JD Vance, while hosting Kirk’s first show since the assassination, criticized calls for unity with what he described as the radical left and condemned groups he accused of justifying the murder or funding content excusing it, specifically mentioning the George Soros Open Society Foundation. Stephen Miller, White House Deputy Chief of Staff, stated an intention to “identify, disrupt, dismantle, and destroy” left-wing organizations he claims promote violence, suggesting potential measures such as RICO charges. Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced the suspension of over 100 teachers for allegedly endorsing Kirk’s assassination or inciting violence. In media-related developments, a journalist resigned from WICS ABC20 after a suspension for airing a tribute to Kirk, while a nurse was reinstated and a doctor resigned over comments related to the incident. The American Federation of Teachers criticized Abbott’s suspensions, arguing they infringe on free speech rights and set a dangerous precedent for educators.

On a separate political note, a bill proposed by Rep. Brian Mast, supported by contributions from AIPAC, has raised concerns about civil liberties. The legislation could permit the State Department to revoke passports based on political views, including criticism of Israel, though critics argue it lacks due process protections. Secretary Marco Rubio defended the bill, stating it targets terrorism support, not political expression, and is crucial for national security.

Additionally, some commentators have raised concerns about the U.S. legal system, citing expansive conspiracy laws and a high incarceration rate of 531 per 100,000 population as potentially undermining rights compared to other countries. Discussions on gender identity and political polarization have also been noted as reflecting broader societal divisions, with some pointing to historical shifts in Democratic Party priorities as a factor.

Health

Research increasingly links chronic stress to higher cancer risk, with studies indicating it may weaken immunity and promote inflammation that supports tumor growth. A meta-analysis of over 282,000 breast cancer patients found that emotional strain is associated with increased recurrence and mortality risks, a finding consistent with observations in traditional Chinese medicine.

In the U.S., the use of carbadox, a drug in pig feed classified as carcinogenic, continues despite bans in Europe and Canada due to its genotoxic risks. The FDA faces opposition from the pork industry, which claims that removing carbadox could increase antibiotic resistance, while critics point to the ongoing overuse of antibiotics in livestock. The National Pork Producers Council stated that the drug is essential for controlling diseases in pigs, and its removal could exacerbate antibiotic resistance issues.

In Europe, PharmaMar President Jose Maria Fernandez Sousa-Faro and over 2,200 others face charges for allegedly faking Covid-19 vaccinations by paying to be registered as vaccinated while receiving saline solutions.

Lastly, New Hampshire ranchers are advocating for a bill to legalize local beef sales within the state, challenging USDA regulations amid a shortage of inspected slaughterhouses. Farmers, including Bill Schroeder, report wait times of up to two years for processing, which limits access to local markets and raises costs. Lawmakers aim to meet consumer demand for traceable food sources, though potential federal opposition could hinder the state-level initiative. A USDA spokesperson noted that federal regulations are critical to protect public health, and bypassing them could risk food safety standards.

Gerald Celente was SO right when he refers to governments as Crime Syndicates, because that’s what they are. The closer you get to the Godfather or Head of the Crime Family, the more they will threaten you and you either do as they say or they will threaten to kill you and your family.

In Charlie Kirk’s case he was concerned about being “rubbed out/suicided/Epsteined” as he told Megyn Kelly when he appeared on her show. Israel behaves just like a Crime Family and the crime boss is played by none other than BeeBee Nutten-Yahoo.

He is going to regret or the State of Israel will when he’s no longer around because when the US empire collapses, Israel will no longer have any protection from Big Brother.

US born Iranian professor Marandi says that the next time Israel strikes Iran, Iran will hit back even harder. He also said that it was the Israeli’s who called for a ceasefire because they were getting their asses kicked and the US stepped in to call a referee timeout.

Sorry, but the more I see of Marandi the more he seems to have the typical Iranian ‘superiority complex’.

Iran came within a hair’s breadth of being completely dismantled with the long-expected (but apparently not by the super-capable Iranians) ‘surprise strike’.

During the short war that followed, my perception was that although Iranian missiles were indeed causing a lot of damage to Israel, every volley got weaker and weaker as the Israelis managed to take out more and more of their launch capability.

The ceasefire happened because neither side was in good shape to continue and felt it was in their best interests to pause and recouperate.

I’d like to think that the Iranians learned something and are actually working to strengthen their AA capability, address their weakness in the shortage of launch platforms for their missles, clean out their quite obviously compromised government and security organisations and provide on-the-ground security against organised cells of terrorists/special forces who were taking out Iranian military commanders, politicians, scientests and even AA apparently with no opposition. However, I suspect they are just going around patting themselves on the back for surviving the brief conflict and will be completely unprepared, again, when the Israelis come around to take their second swing.

The ‘boomers’ were so focussed on keeping the value of their houses and investments high that they never stopped to think about the longer term effects on their children and grandchildren.

Now that the economy is starting to come apart at the seams and their kids are up to their necks in debt with the grandkids unable to even think about ever owning a house (with all the societal knock-on effects that will bring) they are getting the unexpected consequences.

Well, you seem to be in the minority with that view. If there’s a superiority complex, it lies with the West. Comments from US Generals believing we can wipe out Russia in 3 days, the EU and NATO believing they can destroy Russia. Keith Kellogg saying Ukraine has already won this war and Russia has lost 1.8 million soldiers. Those are all BS statements because Putin has shown the war in Ukraine is basically a Civil War. If he wanted to overrun Ukraine he had the army to do it but instead, has treated it differently.

Retired Army Cols, Douglas McGregor and Larry Wilkerson have been on record saying that Russia has won the war, something Trump has even admitted in statements. Both McGregor and Wilkerson and several others have stated on the record that Israel was getting it’s ass handed to them. The others saying the same thing are former Ambs Altair Crooke, Chas Freeman, Scott Ritter and journalists Max Blumenthal and Aaron Mate.

So I disagree with your entire premise. It is western hubris and arrogance to think that no one can defeat the US or Israel. It is the same arrogance and hubris that has the UK, France, Germany and the EU on the verge of economic collapse.

Israel is a rouge apartheid state and if it senses blood it goes for the kill. If Israel was hitting and causing mass causalities and damage to Iran, they would have continued.

Boomer bashing is popular at PP so please don’t muddy the waters with facts. The reason why I excuse boomers for the current mess is because most boomers had zero agency to make things better. Many of the people who did have agency weren’t even boomers. If you want recent examples, neither demented Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders, Dianne Feinstein, Nancy Pelosi, nor far too many members of our gerontocracy are boomers. And why no hate for x-ers or millennials (not that I think it’s deserved because they didn’t have any agency either?). They’ve been adults for a minute. Why do the boomers get all the blame?

When my confederates first got their drivers licenses the oil embargo hit. Late 70s was stagflation and high unemployment. Just when we graduated high school or undergraduate. Mortgage rates hit a record high of over 18% the year I was 24 (1981). Pensions for everyone except public employees were ended.

So tell me again why boomers get all the blame?

I suspect much of it is people trying to figure out what cause of their free floating anxiety is, when it comes to this idea of slipping behind year by year.

Separating out the notion of intention vs action as two distinct aspects to causes, it can be instructive to know the exact thing that can be labeled a “but for” cause - which is to say if it weren’t for this exactly, the rest wouldn’t have happened.

Once you can identify such causes, it is of course required that we individually choose the path which eliminates or at least mitigates the problem or else the entire exercise is pointless in the first place.

In my own life, my father, mother, stepfather, nor schools taught me about money, taxes, investing, or any basic life skill around money other than balancing a checkbook. I seek not to blame them by motive, but it is what happened. The action I’m taking in my own life is that I’m seeking out groups in my local community and trying to find individuals who are specifically missing any insights into these topics and offering talks, conversation, or just general awareness that these are topics demanding at least some investment of education.

I certainly hope they learn from someone better than me, but they could also do a lot worse.

As a Boomer I can tell you that in 1980s when we were young (particularly later stage Boomers) we were sold on the idea that multinationalism, multiculturalism, and multinational corporations would provide us this amazing future. Along with the financialization of the economy as well as the wonders technology was going to produce. We were very gullible and naive. Like that bullet destined for Charlie Kirk’s neck we never saw what was really coming.

CIA has been brainwashing people since its inception. Been a slippery slope for decades. So yes, boomers were advertised to and marketed a lifestyle destructive to society, the planet, and ultimately themselves and future generations. I get the feeling most of us here are trying to resist the tyrannical system that has been created. But IMHO the best we can do is to act among family, friends, and community. Likely none of us have the ability to change the system. If anyone wants to try to ask who’s really responsible, I think you can try to follow @jhgoodwin ‘s advice and look inward as well as outward:
