US Politics

Attorney General Pam Bondi has reportedly fired multiple prosecutors involved in January 6th cases, signaling a shift in the handling of these legal proceedings. This action follows President Trump’s announcement of policies that can now proceed due to a Supreme Court ruling on nationwide injunctions, including ending birthright citizenship, sanctuary city funding, and refugee resettlement. Legal experts have raised concerns about the continuity and fairness of the ongoing J6 cases due to these dismissals.

Regarding the decision to overturn nationwide injunctions, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson had dissented, where she accused her colleagues of enabling a “rule-of-kings.” This dissent has sparked controversy, with Justice Amy Coney Barrett defending the necessity of judicial restraint and adherence to legal text, highlighting a divide in judicial philosophy. Justice Jackson has defended her dissent, stating that her role is to protect individual rights against executive overreach, not to create an ‘imperial Judiciary’.

Florida’s new detention facility, surrounded by gator-infested waters, is nearing completion amidst controversy. Funded partly by reallocating money previously used for housing illegal immigrants in luxury hotels, this facility aims to deter illegal immigration with its natural security measures. Human rights organizations have condemned the approach as a violation of international law regarding the treatment of migrants.

Energy

Despite a surge in oil prices, US shale drilling has seen its longest decline streak in five years. The number of rigs drilling for crude has decreased for nine consecutive weeks, indicating a cautious approach by oil companies, possibly waiting for more sustained price increases before ramping up operations. Some energy analysts suggest that this cautious approach might be due to uncertainties in global demand and the transition towards renewable energy sources.

Geopolitics

Russian President Vladimir Putin has described the freezing of $300 billion in Russian assets as a “price worth paying” to break Western financial dominance. This statement comes as Russia and Ukraine prepare for a third round of direct talks to end their ongoing conflict. The talks aim to bridge significant gaps in their peace proposals, with Putin expressing a willingness to negotiate despite the differences. However, there is skepticism within Ukraine about the sincerity of Russia’s negotiation efforts, suggesting that these talks might be more about optics than actual peace-making.

Additionally, Russia is reportedly training Chinese military personnel on countering US and NATO weapons systems, based on experiences from the Ukraine conflict. This cooperation could enhance China’s military capabilities, particularly in potential conflicts over Taiwan, and underscores the deepening security ties between Russia and China. Some analysts suggest that this training could significantly enhance China’s capabilities in potential conflicts with the U.S. or its allies.

In the Middle East, President Trump has urged Syria to normalize relations with Israel, eyeing its inclusion in the Abraham Accords. This push comes amidst a backdrop of quiet talks and a shift in Syrian leadership, with the US encouraging Damascus to prove its new direction through peace agreements.

Economy

President Donald Trump has expressed his intention to appoint a Federal Reserve Chair who favors cutting interest rates, criticizing current Chair Jerome Powell for not lowering rates despite economic conditions. Trump suggested that a 1% interest rate could save the country billions annually, contrasting with the Fed’s current stance of maintaining rates between 4.25% and 4.50%. Analysts have noted that Trump’s push for lower rates might be politically motivated to stimulate economic growth before the election, potentially at the cost of future inflation.

European Politics

German police conducted extensive raids on 170 homes, targeting individuals suspected of online hate speech and insults against politicians. This operation, supported by new laws against racism and hate speech, reflects Germany’s ongoing efforts to combat digital extremism. However, there are concerns among some users and bloggers about the freedom of speech in Germany, with critics arguing that the government is stifling legitimate political discourse under the guise of combating hate speech.

New Zealand Politics

The University of Otago’s “Pae Tata Strategic Plan to 2030” has sparked debate over its approach to racial equity in admissions and hiring practices. Critics argue that the plan, which includes goals like partnering with iwi and embedding kaupapa Māori into research, might compromise academic merit and educational integrity. The university’s strategy also mandates staff training in Treaty “obligations,” which some critics suggest could affect academic freedom. However, supporters of the plan argue that it aims to address historical inequities and provide better representation for Māori in higher education, aligning with New Zealand’s demographic changes.

These are not “undocumented immigrants.” The very phrase “undocumented immigrants” is a meme used by supporters of mass illegal immigration to imply that the status of these people nothing more than a technical matter of obtaining proper documentation. Such language would be accurately informative if these people had applied for lawful entry and obtained approvals but their paperwork had not been completed.

Nothing of the sort has happened.

These people made no attempt to obtain documents allowing lawful immigration. Instead, they illegally and unlawfully entered the country. Thus, they are most accurately described as being illegal aliens.

The difference in phraseology is significant.

Calling them “undocumented” plays into the nudge narrative line of those people seeking open borders. That further advances the agenda of those seeking cultural destruction such as has happened in Great Britain and other places in Europe.

I get the impression that AI is being used to generate these news summaries. AI has been preprogrammed to subtly incorporate disinformation. Using AI tools on controversial topics simply facilitates the propagation of slanted “nudge” information into the newsfeed. Doing this furthers the agenda of those people waging information war against American citizens.

This is not meant as a criticism of this site. But it is meant as a cautionary expression of concern as to the subtle and insidious ways in which information is being distorted for political purposes.

The whole “Treaty” thing is a touchy subject in NZ. The majority of kiwis are sick to death of the preferential treatment maoris get here, but they’re also scared to speak out against it in case they get called “racist”.
But what’s happening in NZ is absolutely racism, but very much in favour of the maoris.
I’m trying not to get wound up about it as I’m writing this.
NZ is currently going through a “soft”/bloodless coup, one that is endorsed and assisted by the central government - in fact, ALL levels of government are helping with the coup. It’s a very bad situation over here, and I don’t think it’ll be too many more years before the shooting starts, as certain groups of maoris start upping the anti against whites (and everyone else) knowing that they won’t get into trouble for it.
There’s an excellent YouTube channel called “Stop Co-Governance” that does a good job of documenting and outlining what’s going on over here.
Some examples:
-maoris get lighter sentences in court;
-maoris are less likely to be prosecuted than any other group;
-their grades are marked up automatically;
-they get preferential treatment in hospitals and medical centres;
-they get their own race-based medical centres and schools;
-when the government confiscates land (eg, after a natural disaster) they do it so that they can (literally) give it to the tribes under the pretence of “reparations”/“treaty settlements”;
-the tribes don’t pay council rates on unimproved land;
-maori owned businesses pay less tax;
-the tribes themselves don’t pay any tax at all;
-they get mandatory, unelected, positions on ALL council and government committees and boards;
-they “own” the sea bed, lake and river beds;
-they’ve almost secured private tribal ownership of every single beach in the country;
-they’re trying (and almost succeeding) in getting “sole and exclusive” control of every drop of water in the country, including the ocean out to 50km/30mi;
-the water districts under this system will be based on tribal boundaries, not water catchment areas;
-they’re trying to get control of the radio waves;
-they’re forcing maori language in schools;
-they’re forcing maori “culture” in schools and courts;
-they’re insisting on recognising maori “laws” for their people, rather than being subject to the normal laws of the land;
-the traitorous previous mayor of the district that I live in arbitrarily declared the entire district “ancestral maori land”, thus eliminating private property rights/ownership;
-they reserve the right to declare any patch of land that they want a “significant natural area” and thus can confiscate it without reparations;
-they have almost acquired control over the property consents/permits processes for additions/modifications to private property/land;
-the tribes get over $7bn/yr in taxpayer handouts;
-they can hold private landholders to ransom by claiming said landholders owe the tribes money, and they don’t have to say how much is owed, nor provide proof of the debt;
-there’s more, but I’m getting wound up about this and need to stop now.
NZ is fast becoming “New Zimbabwe”, and I’m rather concerned about it. Not just because it’s happening, and that the government here is encouraging it, but because basically all western countries are just as messed up and so there’s nowhere really for me to flee to.
The “Treaty” is being used as a big club to guilt-trip and bludgeon the rest of the country into complying and submitting to their coup.
The tribes openly reject their treaty obligations, and deliberately misinterpret the treaty so as to illegally acquire power and resources.
The MSM are assisting the tribes with their coup because the government gives them money to do it.
It’s bin a coup via subversion until recently. And now they’re being more open and bold about it. Like doing the haka - a war dance - in parliament, disgracing the institution of the parliament, and making the country a laughingstock internationally.
Grrr! I’m stopping now.

I’ve seen mentions of north of australia islands with similar tribes… solomon islands and bunch of others… where chinese come and bribe basicly 1800s north america style them, and many of them dont seem to get end game there. We’ve seen it play out all over world. I can see this vulnerability. Canada used booze in 1700s and 1800s for that purpose, thus lot of natives became drunks. Idk zimbabwe situation but it is middle of african continent, so there is little geopolitical interests to be there. Thus once farmers leave, nobody is coming back. NZ is close to aussies so that might be tiny bit different. That influence campaign looks consistent to surround all tiny nations around australia… towards US… I can relate 7Bn$ as our country has same population, so it is huge money for nothing, to minority group. NZ has surprisingly low GDP for that sized developed anglo country… agriculture (lambs, mining etc) dont make that much money. Although life quality isnt correlating with those numbers and I understood it is equal to europe or higher.
What Ive read, “tribes” and minorities in world are generally small and relatively poor because their nomadic lifestyle dont require high IQ and high competition.

Closest to me comes from south africa. Their policies are to take lands and have subsidies, free cash to “minorities”.
I see parallels to all western countries: somewhere biggest guilt trip campaign is LGBTQ, somewhere it is (convenient) minority, somewhere it is something else… however pattern is very similar. I dont see this solving anything. However Ive been missing where are models for those “native” kids moving from say rural area to capital and thus having to make sacrifices and their other family and region is now one bright mind less… this is also global problem that makes countries weaker and poorer. This approach would serve minorities like maori too. Often result is kid feels out both worlds, parents are dumb “boomers”. It is very painful. Brazil has these same topics. Issue can be young person goes to study with aim to help their community. But later community is too dumb to see that benefit and expells that person for not being “one of them” anymore. This is what academics should pursue and solve. These are wide problems. Guilt tripping is essential appeasement that could lead to civil war of some kind over time.
I find it hypocritical natives demand and get “white man cash” but refuse to play in that (global) game.

We see in sweden what that appeasement policy to minorities will lead to. They get bolder and more entitled over time, more tribalistic.

I wonder what part current Israeli politics play with their ultraorthodox jews who are essentially same size minority and growing fast but dont have nearly same responsibilities as “main residents”.
In India muslim minority is same 15% class and it is big enough to cause trouble but still can use minority status as excuse. So this issue is global regardless of what their culture and needs are.
