We’ve got a lot on our plate today, even in the supposedly quiet month of August.
First, let’s talk about Ozempic, which I’m calling “Ozempic disease.” I’ve long predicted that this so-called wonder drug for weight loss would reveal nasty side effects over time, and boy, was I right. We’re seeing reports of severe issues—stomach paralysis, vision loss, even sudden blindness dubbed a “stroke of the optic nerve.” Over 2,000 lawsuits are piling up against Novo Nordisk, with claims they prioritized profits over safety. I’m appalled at stories of people losing their memory, sight, and ability to walk or eat. And the cultural pressure, especially on women, amplified by social media, to take this drug for looks is just heartbreaking. Celebrities who didn’t even need it now look skeletal, not healthy. Meanwhile, pharma rakes in $20 billion annually, and doctors, often swayed by kickbacks, downplay risks as “rare.” I’m telling you, we can’t trust these systems—COVID taught us that. My advice? Stick to meat, vegetables, and exercise, and steer clear of these chronic hormone disruptors.
Then, there’s the disturbing case out of Las Vegas involving Tom Alexandrovich, an Israeli citizen caught in a pedophile sting operation. He was communicating with someone he thought was a 15-year-old girl, planning to meet her. Despite being arrested in a multi-agency operation involving the FBI and Homeland Security, he was released on bail without surrendering his passport and promptly fled to Israel under their “Law of Return,” which often shields such offenders from extradition. I’m outraged at the apparent negligence—or worse—by local authorities like DA Steve Wolfson and U.S. Attorney Seagal Chata, whose ties and biases raise serious questions. Wolfson’s connections to Alexandrovich’s lawyers, who’ve donated heavily to him, scream pay-for-play. And Chata, with her own controversial background, declined federal charges. This isn’t just a one-off; it’s a pattern—over 60 accused child sex offenders have fled to Israel since 2014. The message I’m getting is chilling: some think they can harm our kids and face no consequences. It’s infuriating, and in the shadow of Epstein, you’d think there’d be more sensitivity.
Lastly, we touched on the East Palestine, Ohio train derailment. New FOIA documents reveal the EPA’s shameful behavior after they deliberately burned toxic vinyl chloride, creating a soup of dioxins and other poisons. Instead of protecting residents, they spied on independent scientist Scott Smith, who found dangerous toxin levels, and tracked outspoken locals. They manipulated data with Norfolk Southern, refused to test for key chemicals, and gaslit the community about health risks like cancer clusters. FEMA and the White House knew the dangers but hid reports and avoided residents. I’m livid—this is tyranny, not governance. Our agencies are captured by corporate interests, and it’s not just East Palestine; it’s systemic.
I’m losing faith in these institutions daily, and I know many of you are too. We’re not facing problems with solutions; we’re in an era of outcomes we must manage with resilience.
