One thing I think I would do if I owned a business, assuming it were feasible, is encourage all my employees to work from home at least 1 day per week. This way, they are all set up and accustomed to being able to do their work remotely, all the kinks are ironed out, necessary programs installed and VPNs set up, etc. So if something does come up, whether it be as isolated as the office burning down or as widespread as a heavy snowstorm that shuts down the roads throughout half the state, my company could still function because all my employees would be set up to work from home.
