Red Wedding Diplomacy: Iran's Strike and Trump's Promises

Originally published at: https://peakprosperity.com/the-signal-hour-today-at-1pm-et-6/

This week has been incredibly noisy, and we’ve got a lot to unpack. The situation with Israel and Iran is escalating, reminiscent of the Iraq War with its urgency and lack of questioning. Israel’s strikes on Iran, targeting not just military but also civilian scientists, have raised serious ethical and legal questions. The narrative around these actions is murky, with conflicting reports on U.S. involvement.

We’re also seeing a troubling trend where diplomacy seems to have been replaced by military action, with negotiations being undermined by preemptive strikes. This approach, which I liken to the infamous Red Wedding from Game of Thrones, where trust is betrayed in the most violent way, is not only counterproductive but also escalates tensions unnecessarily.

On the home front, Trump’s promises, particularly regarding voter ID and auditing Fort Knox, have not materialized, leaving many of his supporters disillusioned. The GOP’s failure to act on these issues, despite having control, suggests deeper issues within our political system, possibly involving coercion or hidden agendas.

The military-industrial complex continues to thrive, with conflicts being used as opportunities for profit rather than peace. The recent moves by Israel, supported by U.S. technology and possibly more, indicate a dangerous path where war becomes the default solution, ignoring the human cost and the potential for catastrophic escalation, including the use of nuclear weapons.

Moreover, the health and safety of our citizens are being compromised. The mRNA vaccines, which I’ve been vocal about, are still in use despite growing evidence of their risks. This, coupled with the potential for new conflicts, paints a grim picture of our future if we don’t change course.

In all this chaos, it’s crucial to remember what’s truly important. Planting a garden, connecting with nature, and fostering community can provide peace and resilience. As Wendell Berry writes, there’s a profound peace in the presence of wild things, a reminder of the grace in the world that we must strive to protect.

Thank you for joining me today. Remember, amidst all this noise, finding your signal, your purpose, and protecting it is more important than ever. We’ll continue this conversation at Peak Prosperity, where we discuss how to navigate these turbulent times with clarity and courage.

I have to give you credit. Every week you put out an hour+ of relevant content. Hard to imagine how you consistantly find things to talk about whilst the world is moving along so swimmingly. Looking forward to see what the topic might be today.

@cmartenson If you have time and willingness, would you consider covering the question:

  • Is President Donald Trump’s unhinged looking posts threatening war and even appearing to entertain assassination of leaders most likely him showing his true colors, or just more information warfare?

Thank you

Israel forgot one painful lesson in Life. When you are clubbing and clobbering Baby Seals, you forget to notice that Mama Seal was watching and she is beyond pissed! Iran is that mama seal.

For Trish Wood fans, 14 minutes of pertinent commentary in advance of the Signal Hour. FYI I am trying to boost her as she is HEAVILY shadow banned on X. She deserves a much greater following!

Is it possible the missile strikes which leak through are “acceptable losses” by the Israeli government in order to induce action from partner and ally nations?

Well, and the patriots and THAADs aren’t working too well either per the last “allowed” videos from Israel vis-a-vis Haifa and Tel Aviv (and Postol’s analysis from last year’s Israeli-Iran missile exchanges). The visual physics trajectory data regarding the released videos is pretty clear. The Israeli air defenses are not very good unless all the inbound anti-missile misses on the videos are AI generated including the explosions and damage. The videos of missile misses and especially the hypersonics seems to be ignored by one side, so much so that it’s illegal for the world to see any more and I think that’s curious.

I can’t square this circle. Israel is days away from total victory over Iran per Bibi on Fox, yet at the same time Israel says they need the US to help Israel defeat Iran. Israel claims air supremacy over Iran so why do they need our or anyone’s help?

Israel along with Ukraine and the US are all Crime Syndicates and they run their Nations as such.

  • Where do you think Israel is getting their missiles? I don’t assume they’re all manufactured in Israel.
  • If I wanted someone to help me who was reluctant, I would want it to both seem like it was “almost there” and simultaneously, needing their help.
  • Given a choice, I would blow up someone else’s money over my own money.

Oh, I agree and know your three points are exactly what Israel’s been doing for decades. My question is feebly trying to expose the fallacy in the narratives we hear, drool, and take sides over. It’s the delusion that both things can be true at the same time with no critical thought. Narrative and only narrative is truth now with zero critical thought.

And hell yeah, the Patriots and associated missiles for 12 million apiece that keep missing along with the THAADs (stupid amazing radar, no so much with their missiles) are from the US. THAADs are owned and operated by US military personnel.

I’ll second the recommendation for Trish!

The same people who told us Russia was collapsing, doomed, and will lose to Ukraine are the same people telling us Iran already lost.

To be fair, Iran has been jerking the IAEA around for decades - so further negotiations may have looked like more stalling.

Are you sure that the very high rocket is not one of Elon’s? I saw another similar and Grok said it was a SpaceX launch

I think Bibi was in Israel, but they moved his plane out to keep it from being targeted/destroyed.

I just cannot see Trump saying/twitting “thank you for your attention to this matter”. This is so at odds with his usual style.

I think some of these “reveals” are dropped in on purpose to give people like us a bone to chew on and get excited about and hope the reveal leads to change. But it doesn’t. No one else hears it, media don’t mention it and we go ahead anyway.
