Prediction - the ANC seizes all the farms from the productive people who put in the hard work to run them, hand the farms over to grifters and connected party sorts, and then in a couple of years the famine sets in.
In 2-3 years, we’ll have to find a modern-day Sally Struthers to drum up food donations for the starving children of a formerly self-sufficient country.

I have always wondered what specific things triggered them to know it was time. Which incremental change, was it a face to face encounter with another person or a group, was it a new rule and if so which one. Was it just a feeling that came about because it was not reversing or “moving out of the news cycle” so to speak.
I see these farmers in the same light as the Jews who got out early with their families intact. What farm, winery, bank account or other asset is worth seeing your children defiled or mutilated before having a bullet in your head or worse yourself.
I have wondered if I would have what it takes to perceive that it was time to make the hard decisions in situations like that.
I am pretty sure that having members of Congress saying that people who look like me need murdered as well as my kids and pets, as subtle as it is, might be a clue I could pick up on. Especially if when questioned on several national and international news programs those same politicians clarified they indeed meant murder and that it was not hyperbole.

That is an assumption that ignores the very real history of Communist efforts, beginning in the very late 19th century from Eastern Europe, to destabilize South Africa and kill the Boer/Afrikaners. It is not at all unlike the attacks upon Kulaks in Ukraine (land owning middle class/upper Middle class farmers)by the Communists.
@slyon That is a great idea. Ownership of the land could be ceded over time as they kept their end of the bargain. I bet our aging farmers would love to have their farm remain productive and in the hands of other farmer, and maybe they could even work out a deal where the former owners get a little 5 acre plot to live on with a tiny house, and free produce for life. It could so be a win-win for everyone.
Im retiring in June. I want to figure out how to get a small consortium together and figure out how to do this. I cant do it alone so suggestions and any help at all are welcome. Ill be backon this topic when 8 can…need to do some digging…not sure how to start…but i have a few ideas.
Are you trying to buy a farm, keep a farm, or to be allowed to work an existing farm?
In the Midwest, the huge acreages that are used to grow corn and soy beans for example are placed in family farm trusts. In this way the land cam be inherited by the farmers family without them having to sell it and pay capital gains, or inheritance taxes in the process.
Not just the land is involved, there are many millions of dollars worth of machines, machine sheds, grain storage infrastructure, and on and on.
These farms trusts have to be established well in advanced due to tax laws and so forth. One cannot way until they get bad news at the doctor’s office.

The elimination of Rhodesia, while Botswana remains intact, and the campaign to collapse South African’s White-led nation - it really kicked off during Jimmy Carters term in office (I think). I believe this was the move: to de-nationalize Whites, provide no place where their genes nor culture stand apart and certainly not above, all other groups. Cecil Rhodes is famous for his Anglosphere Empire - I believe the “Anglosphere” bit was dropped, rather heavily dropped, and we have a Global Corporation-Finance-Mafia-Intelligence-sphere without all the bothersome White identity politics messing things up. How hard would it be, really, to arm, train and lead an old fashioned group of White colonial settlers into any of these places, using modern military weapons and technology, and totally genocide and dominate the landscape? It would be, in many cases, a bloodbath and a one sided slaughter. We are not seeing the happen, quite the opposite - the money and the power flows to the Globo-system and other groups are “capacity built” to deracinate White people.
Apologies for blurting this out. I am of mixed ancestry, some of which is Danish-English-Irish - and most see me as White. I am not advocating for anything - I just have had my mind shaped up around these sorts of ideas by trying to study modern geopolitical history.
To me, the change kicked off with Carter - he ceded power to this anti-Nationalist global blob thing and it has worked to de-Nationalize the countries that signed the Bretton-Woods pact, and any place their kind ran a country.
Good post. I think we make a mistake when we talk about ‘white vs black’ and many other similar point/counterpoint scenarios. It brings me back to ‘The Once and Future King’ scene where the rulers are happy to see their plebs fighting with each other.
The fault of the masses is different from the fault of the elites. The masses are ‘asleep’ drinking Bud, smoking Marlboros, and screaming ‘go whatever team or player’ at their TV while the elites are manipulating and profiting from the slumber of the masses.
Otto Scott draws out the issues that preceded the early 80s breakdown in SA and also the involvement of foreign governments showing that it was not primarily/entirely "the white-led gov’t of SA’ that oppressed the ‘blacks’ in SA. (This is very similar to what is happening in Mali now.)
