Why would I do that? He’s no longer relevant Dave
Uh, because of what we all went through 2020-2024? Are we better off now than we were before? Or doesn’t that matter to you? What’s the trend. Up, or down?
Amazing that this is still your angle Dave. How many times do we have to go round with this one?
I’m not interested in comparing the last administration to this one. The last administration is now irrelevant. Stop trying to rope me into an arguement that I am not making. Enough already
I see history as a trend over time - like prices going up or down. Looking at a price chart for gold just in 2025 - boy, that’s no context at all. Can’t pick a trend from that. It is very difficult predicting what comes next when you have no context and no ability to identify the trend.
I really didn’t realize that some people think the past is irrelevant. Thanks for clarifying. I won’t ask you again.
You say that now, until Hunter runs for office.
I didn’t get the clot shot but I did have Covid. I’ve been taking Nattokinase for at least a year. But you need to take quite a bit. I take 7 capsules every other morning. I also eat more pineapple chunks since that also helps the detox.
Geez Dave, comparing the administrations are nothing like comparing gold prices. How 'bout this-Both administrations suck. When I speak my mind about Trump, I don’t find the “but Kamala” argument to have merit. But you do and that’s fine. I’m done kicking this dead horse with you.
??? Say what now? Trump sucks and so would Hunter.
I had a friend who was told while in the hospital with covid that if he did not quit getting up and moving around he was going to be put on a vent. He was telling them he did not want to be on a vent. He was asking for antibiotics because he was testing negative for covid for weeks by then. He ended up on a vent. They started giving him pain and sleeping meds and probably remdesivir, then slammed him on a vent after the hospitals were not allowing visitors.
I have a friend that had a baby born seemingly brain dead. The hospital was all in a hurry to unplug the baby from iv’s and support. They had a second doctor fly in and look at a new brain scan etc. The second doctor said they needed to keep that baby suported a few more days to see where the scans trended. The hospital docs insisted in was just residual activity and they wanted to disconnect support. The parents were in the process of coming to terms with that when the hospital wanted to have then sign donor papers. The mother asked are you going to harvest now on friday night? They said no it would be the beginning of the week- mon or tue. She asked how are you going to keep the baby alive until Monday? The staff members hemmed and hawed and due to the mothers questioning finally admitted they would keep the baby alive until organs were harvested. She asked if she could change her mind at the last minute? OF course not. She was horrified that they would keep the baby alive the same amount of days for the sake of a harvest bot not for the sake of brain scans that had more activity than the previous ones, and a neonatal nuero doc’s recommend.
That baby died in its parents arms, they left the hospital with it and had a private burial at a cemetery.
My brother has in the end stages of Luekemia. He was not a good candidate for a marrow transplant due to his alcoholism and liver condition. Then at some point they changed their minds. All of us siblings were screened via many vials of blood. My sister was a match. She went down, did the donation over the course of several days, and the next day my brother was considered out of spec for receiving a transplant once more. We were very suspicious that they just sort of cast net for matches needed somewhere, my sister was a match for someone, we hope that some is a decent person and they they are living a good life.
One of my many hobbies is studying history. I’ve found trends important in history - quite similar to trends in prices. That way I can see where a culture is going over time.
America, for instance.
Border? Uptrend (improvement). Epstein - flat trend (no improvement). Budget - flat trend - (no improvement). Hair sniffing - uptrend (improvement). Again, you’ve helped me understand this is just my personal thing, not a general viewpoint. I just got stuck in my own little world where I assumed everyone thinks the same way as me.
I typically look forward and connect potential dots to see where we are headed. This has served me well. Thank you for your response, it helps me understand this difference.
Did your friend who was placed on a vent survive?
Amazing that you ended with Light.
I was pondering light this morning, on and off all morning. The lights in my microgreen trays, the light that entered my kitchen window. I thought about how the Gospel of John uses light a lot to teach about the Nature of Jesus and our relation to Him and our relationship to the World around us.
My devotional time ended with me feeling much at peace because I am not called to single handedly battle darkness but rather to be a light in it, to spread light and to encourage others to do the same. A single match or candle flame can change a large dark room. That small amount of light would take away the ability for someone to get away with an evil act.
Sometimes a relatively small act, donation, encouragement, visit, etc, can be enough to keep someone else from giving into or becoming vulnerable to the darkness in the world.
Let your lights so shine…
No, not really. Just brought up the 409 owners of the same ounce of silver in the paper markets. He does the charts (cup&handle, head & shoulders) which I still struggle to understand.
I had zero interest in money, banking, currency, finance, etc in 2007. I saw something familiar in the west St Louis 'burbs I saw in LA County in '93 and have been forcing myself to try to understand what’s really going on with economics. Maloney had his free hidden secrets of money stuff and Chris had his Crash Course stuff back then and I used Patrick.net as a launching pad to other websites. Been trying to learn ever since but those subjects make me feel like I’m a cow watching a passing train. I still try hard to understand it but those cupboards are woefully empty.
I own PM for insurance purposes only except once I used 5 ounces of gold to buy a used JD 1025r and ten loads of spread slag for my muddy driveways. Turned out to be a real good deal using gold I bought for a lot less than what the tractor alone was worth.
I’m thinking of taking some more PM to get a 10kwh solar power system. Turns out the PM won’t keep the freezers running when utility power loses to a storm.
Yes but only after an ordeal that went for the better part of a year then it took many months more to get back to work.
He was vented and basically left to rot. Although face down, his back just above the buttock crack had a massive wound that went to the spine. You could have. Placed a baseball entirely into that would cavity. He was covered in fungus from head to toe, including nails on hands and feet behind ears etc, they let his brain swell, and on and on. He eventually left the hospital to endure terrible care at two different rehab facilities. Visitors were allowed. Twice a week at the rehab and they would date the filthy sheets on the face down side only to find them still there the next visit. Milk cartons were on trays 5 days past the expiration dates. The wound vac was being placed only for a few hours on each side of midnight then would be taken to another patient so the place could double or triple bill it’s usage. They were cheating on the pads for the vac and using inadequate substitutes where no vacuum existed due to leaking tape and such.
This was in Jacksonville Florida USA, not a different third world nation.
Are you saying my precious Bugs and Tippy are in danger from fake hot chick AI scorn?
Wow, no words. I’m so sorry…
There is nothing wrong with profit taking when you need something besides the PMs or land or crypto etc.
Thanks, he lost some ground, still has some lung damage, and never fully regained the strength in his hands and arms. Overall he does pretty well however.
He still has his bees and chickens and he recently built a large pole barn in his back yard with half sides to hang out in and cook out etc. I sent him a hammock for it.
I took undergrad econ classes at university - I found them to be useless. I learned about markets and trading “on the job”, but that’s not the same as economics. Warren Buffet and Peter Lynch were ancient writers - Buffet is a contrarian, which I resonated with. You might too.
When everyone is greedy, be fearful - although trends last longer than we think they will.
Economies move in cycles. People go crazy in herds (2000 dotcom, 2007 housing bubble), then bad things happen. Rinse-repeat. Transition from crazy to fearful can be seen in economic indicators, but if these were perfect at prediction, everyone would be stinking filthy rich.
So maybe - just try to sense which part of the trend we’re in. Greedy? Fearful? Trends tend to last for (maybe) 5-7 years. Crashes tend to last 2-3 years.
If the “economists” were awesome at predicting outcomes with their models, they’d all be billionaires. “Its complicated.”
