Politics

The Secret Service is under scrutiny following an assassination attempt on former President Trump at a rally, which resulted in the death of a rally-goer and injuries to two others. Acting Secret Service Director Ronald Rowe, who succeeded Kimberly Cheatle, has been criticized for reportedly limiting security resources for Trump’s events, particularly those outside Washington, D.C. Despite repeated requests from Trump’s protective detail, additional security measures such as counter snipers and magnetometers were denied. Rowe and FBI Deputy Director Paul Abbate are scheduled to testify before Senate committees to address these security concerns. The incident has raised questions about the adequacy of the Secret Service’s protocols and their coordination with local law enforcement, who reportedly failed to effectively communicate the threat level posed by the gunman, Thomas Matthew Crooks.

In a related development, a Secret Service sniper has demanded four more resignations within the agency, citing concerns about another potential assassination attempt. This demand highlights ongoing tension and dissatisfaction within the Secret Service regarding the protection of high-profile individuals.

Health

A peer-reviewed study in Forensic Science International has revealed that 73.9% of post-COVID-19 vaccination deaths were directly caused by or significantly contributed to by the injections. The study, initially censored by The Lancet, analyzed 325 autopsy cases and found cardiovascular issues as the most common cause of death, followed by blood and respiratory problems. Researchers suggest that the spike protein in COVID-19 vaccines may cause inflammation and clotting in various tissues and organs. Another study in South Korea found increased incidences of mild cognitive impairment and Alzheimer’s disease within three months of COVID-19 vaccination, particularly with mRNA vaccines. The censorship of research critical of COVID-19 vaccines has been a contentious issue, with some viewing it as scientific suppression.

In Europe, five EU countries—Belgium, Germany, Greece, Latvia, and Portugal—will pilot the European Vaccination Card (EVC) in September. The EVC aims to consolidate individuals’ vaccination data in one accessible location, available in printed, mailed, and digital formats. This pilot program is a step toward a continent-wide rollout by 2026, harmonizing vaccine terminology and ensuring adaptability across healthcare settings. Critics argue that the EVC poses a threat to personal and health freedom and national sovereignty, suggesting it could be used to control populations and concentrate wealth. The EVC is also linked to preparations for future pandemics, with millions of birds already culled and vaccines shipped to Europe. Critics view the EVC as undermining personal freedoms and a step toward financial control.

Economy

In economic news, hiring in the US saw a significant decline in June, with the number of new employees dropping to less than 5.4 million, a level only seen during March and April of 2020 in the past seven years. Despite this, the government’s press release claimed hiring was “little changed.” This decline is part of a broader global trend affecting major companies like McDonald’s, which reported its first negative same-store sales comparison since 2020. The labor market’s deterioration is evident as fewer employees are voluntarily quitting their jobs, indicating a lack of better opportunities elsewhere. The number of quits fell to 3.28 million in June, the lowest since 2017. This trend is not isolated to the US; similar patterns are observed in countries like Australia, Canada, and Germany. The global economy is weakening, with rising unemployment and declining hiring rates.

Consumer behavior is also shifting due to the weakening labor market. Credit card delinquencies have surged, and banks are issuing fewer credit lines. Nominal incomes have slowed significantly, with a three-month change of just 0.73%, indicating a recessionary trend. This slowdown in income and hiring is affecting consumer spending and overall economic activity. The narrative that rising unemployment is due to more people entering the workforce is disputed, as the labor force has stagnated and employment has been contracting since September.

Society

Lastly, the nature of war and its impact on society is explored through both historical context and science fiction literature. The Vietnam War’s economic impact, initially boosting the economy but ultimately leading to inflation and budget deficits, is contrasted with the more abstract and economic impacts of modern conflicts. Science fiction works like “Starship Troopers” by Robert Heinlein and “The Forever War” by Joe Haldeman are highlighted for their exploration of war themes. “The Forever War,” written as a response to Heinlein’s work, reflects Haldeman’s own experiences as a Vietnam veteran and uses the concept of time dilation to explore the alienation and disconnection felt by soldiers returning from war. The novel remains influential in the science fiction genre, inspiring works like “Old Man’s War” by John Scalzi and “The Expanse” series by James S.A. Corey.

I wonder how a good AI would have digested all protection plans and come up with a way to turn them into an assassination plan?

It seems like a lot of odd neurological and autoimmune issues are being found post vaccine.

This will come at great cost to civilization. I wonder how long before the economic costs become amazingly apparent, and so much so it cannot be denied. If working age folks become disabled or perish, it will take it’s toll.

Could it be that immigration from Central and South America is closing the gap somewhat and buying time?
