Simon Dixon: The Government Isn't Out of Control, It's *Not* in Control

Personally, I like Mr Dixon’s approach: i.e., understand the history and basic human nature that got us to where we are now, recognize that basic human nature doesn’t change much, then closely watch flows of money at the macro level to reveal major trends that seem to imply the oligarchs’ intent and where the world is likely headed. Be alert for new information that threatens to “flip the chess board”, and be flexible enough to adjust the model accordingly. Admit when you got something wrong.

It feels to me like the above “follow the money” approach is playing the best percentages where long-range future planning is concerned.

I hate you, LOL. I didn’t sell any.

Don’t hate the player, hate the game

I was like you and holding on to my PM’s no matter what. The chart Chris showed of the gold price swings during the Weimar republic hyper inflation really was an eye opener to me, and I will trade the swings with not all but certainly a portion of my PM holdings.

Right now, I’m riding the roller coaster down :frowning: Just saw a video yesterday with the CEO of mining company, and he said the current price has zero support in reality. Pointed out it’s a bankers paper game. He still believes the natural price is triple digits, but the interviewer couldn’t get him to sharpen that to a number.

So its a matter of timing and patience then. I first bought BTC in 2014, for $600 USD. I sold a small chunk recently to buy a car … which effectively cost me $60.

I also remember giving my kids one bitcoin, and one gold coin, years ago when they were about the same price. Each BTC is now 15x the price of each gold coin.

BTW, Im not dismissing PMs, I hold them too, as I regard them as the ultimate non seizeable wealth, but so far the BTC has provided more upside.

I view Islam not as a religion, but a totalitarian political ideology. I am increasingly wondering if Judaism has some similar features.

Im in your boat: PMs are more private but less liquid, and have less upside. I hold both and it has served me well. I was forcibly ‘retired’ at 57 for declining to ‘follow orders’ during the COVID tyranny, and would not have had that option without holding the above.

Absolutely agree; I even lay out this fact, from time to time, when I am speaking with people who purport to be Christian but go along with the US posture on war. Nothing Jesus said nor did supports killing under any circumstances; in fact the opposite.

I also think the Bible itself is quite questionable. First of all, why is the Jewish Bible incorporated as the backdrop? The God of the Old Testament is murderous, jealous, vengeful, petty, and just about the opposite of Christian in every respect.

And then you have to get into the fact that none of the books of the New Testament were written by ANY of the original Apostiles – don’t be fooled by the first names; the Bible was all written dozens of years after the death of Christ by people who had no claim on actually having been there.

And THEN the New Testament is compiled with dramatically different compilations in various versions.

And that is even before you get into the “politically correct” editing as the translations piled up.

All that said, Jesus’ example and spirit are extraordinary. I suggest direct communication to validate the highly doubtful written word. But that isn’t P.C. to hierarchical priesthoods.

A Bloke named “Doubletap”….

True Story….

Isn’t a “Doubletap” when you hit some target, particularly vulnerable innocent people, and then you wait just enough time for the Emergency Responders to show up and then you hit the Emergency Responders who are trying to pull the innocent kids and old people out of the Rubble?

Why would you name yourself or your dog “Doubletap”? Because he poops on the rug again just after you cleaned it up, like Trump or Lindsey Graham? Endless Wars….

Is there a “Super Dooper Premium Subscriber” category for some loaded Billionaire, like Bill Gates, or The Clintons, who wants to buy “Peak Prosperity”?

“Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates has reignited alarm over a looming technological control grid after publicly promoting plans to seize control of banking, healthcare, education, voting, and other essential services with global digital identity and payment systems

I finished the conversation with Simon, and generally, liked it. There were good ideas and thoughts that he brought up.

He might be a little higher on the conspiracy scale than I am, and some of his theories / explanations are not what Occam’s razor would suggest.

But hey, we’re all trying to make sense of a senseless world.

I didn’t mean any disrespect to “Doubletap”….

What about the relative Power and Influence of the Party that has the most Debt and the ability to infinitely print Debt (Spoiler: The US) vs. the Party that has the most Gold (Spoiler: China)?

“David Baldwin distinguishes between these property and relational concepts of power: the former is concerned merely with each actor’s possessions, while the latter requires knowledge of the relationship between the two.10 The benefit of a property approach is the ability to easily measure and compare power; those actors with the most possessions will most likely prevail in causing an actor to change its behavior. “

Sorry I triggered you. Obviously you are being intentially provocative and insulting as you are in many if your responses but its not working. Try harder.

No disrespect intended….

Sorry….

It was just a Joke…

The “I’m Offended” Thang is something new in the new American Culture….

When I was growing up American Male personalities used to be quite Strong. You could “Bust Someone’s Balls” and then he would respond in kind and everyone just laughed (or, sometimes, not).

I think that Comedy in the U.S. now is mostly Dead….

Simon seems to think (and I might be misinterpreting him), that globally, everyone has this nice agreement about who is going to do what and it is all wrapped up in a bow.

Like Chris says about them breaking stuff, I think they’re gonna break it and this has a high chance of degenerating into betrayal, paranoia and chaos.

We will be very needed in that hour and all our work will finally pay off.

Simon’s analysis is based on following the money. He was in the banking and financial world for many years, and understands how the world banking and financial system work. If I understand correctly, he watches the money flows, as well as legislation, and not the narrative. He doesn’t claim his analysis is 100% accurate, bc just like everyone else’s analysis, it is subject to change. For me, his content has broadened my view and the multipolar world he talks about makes sense to me.

On another note, as far as him being muslim (noted by another), I’ve met a fair number people of muslim faith–kind, peaceful, happy, family-oriented people. I’ll leave it at that.

Triffins Dilemma. We export our inflation.

Lyndon B. Johnson pissed off the Bretton Woods participants by aggressively exporting U.S. dollar inflation.

Yay! Exported inflation! Everyone wants our debt! Well, not really, but we force them to take it.

Wait, what else happens? Well, the only resource worth getting from the U.S. is … U.S. dollars. Our economy has been wrecked by Triffins Dilemma.
