I’m open on a lot of issues relating to the shooting. I give the possibility that Crooks is alive maybe a 5% chance.
For contrast, I think there’s maybe a 25% chance Jeffrey Epstein was spirited away as opposed to murdered.
Anyway, Assuming Crooks is/was a CIA trainee, the CIA might have made him a deal - he gets to lead the life of his dreams - being a secret agent agent man, being bullied no more. He gets to do “wetworks” (killing people), while daydreaming about getting vengeance on his bullies. Glorious stuff! And he becomes a useful asset of the CIA.
So, the CIA says “we’ll give you a new identity”. They may or may not tell him what they plan to tell the world “Matthew Crooks” did.
Meanwhile they get a lookalike who IS willing to die for this cause, OR use a lifelike android (no I haven’t given up on that idea yet).
Or they find a lookalike that believes he is an plainclothes countersniper.
Or they find someone doesn’t look all that much like him, and they use AI to modify all the video taken by the police to make it look like the body on the roof is Crooks.
Remember in the autopsy, the guy is described as 5’8" and 167 pounds - which would be 20 pounds overweight if he wasn’t muscularly built.
You all notice we’ve never seen his driver’s license? We’ve never seen pictures of him standing next to ANYONE besides the lady that gave him the high school diploma. We have no real idea how tall he is. But the body on the roof seems to be a guy who is skinny and taller than 5’8".
However - this guy was only 20 years old. He was two years out of high school and had been puttering around in junior college. This was no Oswald, who had a top secret clearance and had almost certainly been taught Russian by the military. (And the military and/or CIA used HIM as a disposable patsy).
That’s why I say the chances are pretty low that the CIA gave him a new identity.
