So It's Back To First Principles

Reviewing the footage of Pearson by the greenhouses, BWC2-122104, at around 19:09:08 cam time, it seems to me like he’s speaking to another nearby officer (it doesn’t seem like a radio conversation to me), asks about the red pickup truck, then the other officer says no and then goes on about “Hey, I’ve got Tyler here…” … “he was on the roof” … . I’m trying to make out all the conversation. I imagine they are referring to Tyler Collins, our boosted officer. It almost sounds to me like they are talking about him having been hit by a round. But I really can’t make out what the guy is saying. You can even hear Pearson’s reply “Oh, ok, I didn’t know he was shot at”, followed by a muffled response of “i don’t know if he was shot at, but he was damn close” or something along those lines. Just noting this because it seems odd to me, maybe someone else has better luck making out what they’re actually saying. I’m going to go through some other videos also and see what other odd audio cues I can find.

I guess this is the part that jumps out at me the most. If there is a fourth person involved, somehow we have never encountered the slightest piece of information about them in all our research.

Here’s the clip where he actually does say it, two two-man teams.

Very interesting, very nice find Sherlock!

Have you seen the police dog beside that car?
(Additionally the radio reported fresh bood in the restroom at 19:11.)

As I remember the testimoni, there were two snipers mentioned with two uniformed local cops.

I didn’t notice that yet actually, but I will look for it.

And as far as I’m aware it was Trooper Graham that was bleeding from his hand, supposedly a fence wound. You can even see his hand bleeding on camera. I don’t really know if we’ve come to the full conclusion that he did in fact enter the building and bleed in the bathroom, I can see it a possibility just not sure if we’ve proven it yet. Thus, hearing talk of Tyler (Collins) having been shot or shot at or whatever seems very strange to me.

Did find another appearance of our NFN Box, on Beaver bodycam 3, after EOD Officer Richard Painter leaves, Box appears on the roof.

When Gianvito asks him “Do you know who hit him?”, he points towards the barns (it seems), and he says something that sounds to me like ‘CS unit’.

Whose testimony are you referring to here?

Wow. So I was looking for Matthew Piant, and somehow stumbled on this:

What do yall think? I think it’s pretty damn close!

Edit: Additionally, I’ve found that a Matt Stohler was promoted to Deputy Assistant Director, Office of Protective Services 3 months ago, in July. Unsure if it the promotion occurred before or after the 13th, or the circumstance behind the position being available to him.

I tried to tell everyone: the original story was that there were 4 officers in the AGR for the local counter sniper team.

No way does he mess that up, not that far into it and during his testimony.

This means there were 3 CS officers in AGR when the shooting happened, after Woods had left.

It actually makes sense because there’s a gap of coverage to the east side where a 4th should be. So why are they hiding it?

Something is going on there.

Yes, I watched that police K-9 walking past the car (a Hyundai Elantra I believe was Crooks’) multiple times and it does not appear to me the dog noticed anything odd about the car. One ESU team (Beaver or Butler?) I read yesterday said their 2 K-9 were trained to sniff both drugs and explosives. I’m not sure it was one of those dogs or not.

It could be, but I think it’s quite strange, because we have a bunch of internal documents now. For example, I’m thinking of one diagram that I think Woods drew:

Then there’s another document where somebody (IIRC Pat Young) was indicating where the snipers in the building were, and they left out Woods (I thought because he wasn’t there at the time) but indicated where Nicol and Murcko were in the building.

Two separate people with two opportunities to identify some fourth guy, but neither of them do it.

I see him emerge at 18:59:30, but could you say where in the video you see him again with his helmet on?

There was also 4 open windows

3 to the south

Do you remember who reported the story that somebody locked himself out when searching for Crooks?

Thanks for sharing this. The way he described Crooks walking back to his car to get his backpack and rifle is exactly how I figured he spent the 20 minutes that Nicol had lost sight of him before being seen by the Door 14 picnic table at 6:02 pm. The way he said “the shooter walking in a distance from his car” is curious because my analysis concluded that Crooks was parked initially at Sheetz per the AP news article, but most likely relocated it across the AGR main entrance during those 20 minutes. I think that statement might actually support my conclusion.

The 5:56 pm is exactly what time the Pittsburg Post-Gazette had for Jon Malis’ dashcam video of Crooks.

image

The problem with that time is threefold. First, Crooks did not have his backpack on him in that video. Second, Malis was quoted in a News Nation interview about that video that he saw him about an hour before the shooting. Third, the timestamp is 5:04 am, though Malis noted that it was actually pm versus am, which is explainable by his setting the time 12 hours off. So, I concluded in my analysis that the video captures Crooks when he entered the AGR property the first time, not when he went back to his car to get the backpack and gun. In short, I had not seen this part of the testimony before, but it supports my conclusions.

Here is the link to that video. Scroll down to the erroneous 5:56 pm section of the timeline to find it, as shown above.

Thanks. He’s definitely Beaver County ESU, so surely we should be able to find him from the unredacted personnel list. I’ll see if I can figure anything out.
