OK, I can send an inquiry about whether we can get the original image off of Nicol’s phone.

Also, shouldn’t all those to whom Greg Nicol send those photos also have the metadata of the originals. I can see on Beaver Co ESU bodycam video a guy on the roof after shooting going through photos in his phone and he had those photos.

Good idea. I guess it depends on whether the group chats still exist or are accessible. I can ask somebody when I’m doing the other thing.

Here is my revised Patsy’s Car sidebar. I’m even more convinced now that we have the right car. Anyways, the fun part is…guess which surveillance camera caught Crooks walking back onto the AGR property with a backpack. Start at Slide 21.

Well, when I say original, I mean like it would be if you used a backup utility to copy the image file byte-by-byte. The stuff we get on the internet, it’s usually been mangled in many ways by the time it gets to us. Compressed, converted to different image formats, all kinds of stuff. Often it’s being done by the online services we use to transfer them, without any notification that it’s being done.

I just looked at the output of exiftools on a file I know to be an original from an iPhone, and it puts out tons of nice stuff. Images 6 and 7 from the zip were already screwed up when they were sent out long before they reached us.

I meant the un cropped & arrowed “original” as it appeared in the Daily Mail? article, who got it direct from JW ( the photo direct from JW is now uploaded)

A random thing we might check on: how is it possible that the Motorola M500 dashcam system (apparently) recorded both a narrow video stream and a wide angle one? Does it actually have two lenses and record two streams?

The M500’s front camera captures a single wide-angle view, which is then processed to deliver panoramic (119°) and cropped (59.5°) views. The two streams are recorded in two resolutions simultaneously, for a
complete view of every incident.

YUSSSSSS. It always captures the wide stuff, and then the vast majority of what we’ve seen (everything with no “WA” stuffix) is actually cropped/squashed/whatever.

Let’s figure out what other wide versions of existing dashcam videos we wish we had, and I’ll put in another request with Lt. Pearson.

This new wide angle BTPD video wasn’t shown at the hearing, it was dashcam footage of the PSP Patrol car positioned beside the water tower You can see this patrol car when Tyler Collins’ police car -M500-010482- pulls up at the water tower.

Oh, sorry, maybe I got them confused because they both unexpectedly showed a lot of white hood. Thanks.

Yeah, that tells us something, but I think the metadata of the true original files will be very rich, maybe even having GPS coordinates and stuff like that.

I sent out my first inquiry trying to get the originals. If that fails I’ll do the other option.

Here you can see Richard Gianvito (his bodycam released by Sen Grassley => timestamp minus 1m39s = actual time)

No need to examine any metadata from the picture

Somewhere must be the pumps. It is easier to push the water up than pull at the top.
