So It's Back To First Principles

Obviously! Tough to sit for an interview if you’re dead. Heck, if that were possible I would interview Crooks. :joy:

I honestly didn’t even catch it until I found him on NTD and played it back a few times!

There’s another interview on NTD slightly before Yerace that is interesting, a guy from Hawaii:

So out of curiosity, how do these texts resolve with the statement that they never met with the SS snipers?

Well, somebody definitely met with the SS countersniper team. It might have been somebody from Butler ESU like Lenz, as opposed to these Beaver ESU guys.

I would add to what @brian60221 said by saying that, if memory serves, Murcko or possibly Wagner had contact with one of the USSS counter snipers. I know a USSS CS was supposed to pick up a radio from them the day of the rally but didn’t have time due to dealing with his own radio problems. Also, one of them, I think Wagner, texted one of the USSS CS about the suspicious person. It sounded to me like the two at least had at least met, perhaps during the advance, and made each other’s acquaintance. But that would be BuC, not BeC, which makes sense because they are from within the county. Bottom line they were at least familiar with each other.

Also recall that the ABC interview was all about them and the media defending local LE against Acting Dir. Rose’s statements trying to blame them for the failure to stop Crooks.

@kincses-zsolt this playlist yours?

If so thanks, it had a few helpful videos I wasn’t able to find on my own.

In exchange here is a video I made, maybe it’ll help (though probably doesn’t contain any info not already known):

Not mine, I found it suddenly. And I watched so far only the first 140 videos.

(Well, I was once directed to a wrong meeting, due to the similar abbreviation of different teams. After a while I suspected something was wrong, and wanted to clarify, but the lead said: questions at the end.) :joy:

Some are questioning if this may be him:

I am in agreement with you here. Ears way off and nose not right. First glance is gosh a resemblance but no. IMHO

Isn’t it interesting they spell his name “Jayson Woods” in this video from 2018? Maybe a typo…

Interesting find on “Jayson.” First time I’ve seen it spelled that way, so I agree, probably a typo.

As for the BeC Bearcat video, thank you! I had that image before when we first ID’ed the armor, but deleted it from my detailed ID slides (hidden in the PDF version of the Recognition Tools). I was trying to find that image a few days ago but gave up early in my attempt. Thanks to you I can add it to the detail slides again.

Ken Silva (jd_cashless on X) with Headline USA published this today. The full transcript has been censored by Scribd but he is working on it and if the link continues not to work he will post screenshots.

Love it! Glad to be of help.

Good catch on the ‘Jayson’! I haven’t watched this video in a while, it’s nice to go back and view it again, thank you.

You said this video was from 2018? Jayson states that he is the Assistant Team Leader of their sniper unit. I imagine that means he has been promoted to Team Leader since then?

We also get to hear about their TEMS unit, tactical medics, and from Michael Hartle. And as he states, their TEMS are not actually police officers but are ems trained in SWAT/ESU tactics.

Yeah, upon thinking about it I realized it had mentioned they were meeting at the grandstands, and there was no BeC sniper presence there. I imagine they met with at least Wagner if not also Shaffer as they would have been the sniper assets in that area. The SS CSs also would have no way to get easily get over to AGR to meet with them there, and the AGR team had been set up and observing for some time already at that point, and would not have left to meet at the grandstands either.

Fantastic find! Good work!

Edit: This illustrates the battle Ken Silva’s been going through to even get those transcripts:

Oh, this is good! Thanks for sharing this, too. Having taken time out from this analysis to revise the AR400 & SQ200 one to resolve the potential SQ400 sighting, I am back to it. This radio communications timeline may come in very handy, especially if and when we get the full version.

Here is my current project opening slide:

@redranamber, I might hype this one up a bit () because I’m finding some interesting timeline conflicts between these reports, and because it could impact my Rangefinder and Door 13 analyses.

I bring it up now because I just caught a footnote in the HSGAC report about the text message data. Like the radio communications from the Washington Post article only gave us a few excerpts from what appears to be a very long list of radio communications, the text messages that Sen. Grassley released appear to be but a very small sampling.

Page 74 Footnote 395 (Partial) for the 5:10 pm Timeline Entry:

“The local Beaver County sniper referred to here, who was stationed on the second floor of the AGR building on July 13, is identified by the Committee as AGR Sniper 1. See Beaver County Emergency Services Unit, Text Messages Between AGR Snipers (IMG_0534 and IMG_0535), Slideshow, at 47-49 (received July 29, 2024) (on file with Committee); …”

Slides 47-49 for the 5:10 pm time? There must be a lot more text messages than we’ve been permitted to see thus far.

You’re welcome! Ken Silva is doing the leg work and covering a lot of ground. He is in it to win it.

I’ve put the radio communications timelines released so far in a PDF and added it to my Investigations Tools folder in the shared files. (I need to reference and link to it as a single PDF document for my current and future analyses.)

Ken Silva, unfortunately hasn’t released the timeline(s) for 13:53:34 to 18:06:26 yet. If you see it, please let me know. Thanks!

Thank you, i haven’t been able to find the entirety of the radio transcripts released yet. These are a key layer to further understanding and deciphering the radio traffic that day! I’ve already gleaned a handful of callsigns and interesting info from these, further fleshing out my spreadsheet.

Interestingly, here we have callouts from Kopas to 10A1 and 10B1, then he says “Zip or Zal you online”. I take that to mean that 10A1 is “Zal” Zaliponi per his listed callsign, and then 10B1 would be Jon “Zip” Schaffner per his callsign? No response from either on these calls, but is that a fair assumption?

Edit: We also have log #'s skipping, so some of the actual transmissions are still missing from what was released. Redaction!!
