I want Greg to show it, under oath.
Maybe I wasn’t clear. I know that “Made his way down to the building’s first level” grammatically means he went to the first level of AGR3. That’s not an assumption I took issue with. The assumption is he opened the door of that building, instead of walking to AGR 6 and opening that one. I said down to AGR3 in my initial thought experiment. It’s obviously not possible for Nichol to get to the first floor of AGR6 without passing through AGR3.
I’ll have to double check but I am pretty sure I’ve heard the entire complex referred to as ‘the building.’ There’s also many articles like this: Police were stationed in building Trump gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks shot from
But this may be a red herring and I only added that just now as an additional reason that the articles might not specify that he moved from the first level of one building to another if that’s what he did.
I appreciate you responding. I never meant for things to get contentious. The first time I disagreed with you I prefaced it by saying I love your work and don’t want you to take my criticisms the wrong way. You made out like I didn’t need to do that every time. I didn’t expect you to take it so personally. “I couldn’t help myself” was honestly me trying to be somewhat friendly and sweeten the possibly irritating blow of me disagreeing with you again. I’m flattered to get a mention, but I don’t think you need the whole slide on grammar.
EDIT: Could we get a slide on its vs it’s?
Sorry, but I… never mind
Appreciate the response. Did it really seem like I was saying he could have went straight down to AGR3 without going to the first level of AGR6 first? I’m really not sure how you guys got that impression. Of course we can agree AGR6 has no second level.
There were mixed stories about why Nichol went down. Some were simply that he was looking for Crooks. He could have exited door 9 and looked left towards Sheetz. We don’t need to assume he went looking for cops that might not be there.
EDIT: The story about Nichol leaving his post to tell people about Crooks never sat right with me anyway when he could have just radioed Lenz (and did) to pass it on.
I think this map itself is quite telling on its own, and then the addition of the shots of the building itself underlines the point that this is a large complex of multiple buildings. Nicol would not have been very familiar with the building or it’s layout. He had viewpoints out multiple windows to the West, and none to the East, and had spotted the individual on the West side as well. He was located on the 2nd floor originally, looking out at least some of these windows:

I have to say that this is pretty clear which side of the building we’re working with. I don’t see anything indicating him moving across the building after bounding down the stairs to then open the door, and door 9 is not only a good distance away from his position but also from other known officer positions, and there are multiple doors much closer to those than 9. Door 9 doesn’t make any sense tactically/logistically if he wants to communicate in person to boots on the ground.
There was a person in the left bleachers who videoed quite a bit and uploaded it through storyful.
At around the 2:33 mark in the above video you can see the people in the left half of the left bleachers. I’m pretty sure Cory Comperatore is the guy I’ve circled. I’m afraid this is at least a couple minutes before shots start though.
There is boy that might possibly Ronny Jackson’s nephew, about 5 rows in front of Cory Competore. He’s about 15, with brown hair, wearing a red and white striped polo shirt. He doesn’t seem act like he’s aware of any injuries, though.
Good points. The Goldinger letter also suggests the same. I’ve always said it’s more likely to be door 13 but I have been trying to completely rule out door 9 so I can report it definitively in a video I am working on. Just because there’s no indication of him moving across the building doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. And I don’t want to use the A word but I’m not sure his purpose was to find officers.
And this may seem a bit ridiculous but what if door 13 wouldn’t open for some reason? Unlikely but not impossible. I doubt Nichol had opened that door before, and we’ve seen him struggle to open door 9 when he tried to get back in on the dashcam footage.
EDIT: I mentioned earlier that VP made a good point about door 8 making more sense than 9 to look towards Sheetz, but I said the path to 8 might have been blocked or just that 9 was the path/door Nichol was familiar with. I don’t know about the other doors. I think I am reply limited again. This will probably be it from me for at least a day I imagine
Question: why did the individual with back pack sit down at the picnic table? Perhaps he got tired after a 10-minute walk? Or he did wait for something?
- Trump enters the stage?
- Patroling policemen walk away?
It looks obvious. When he saw the individual at west, why should he run to a door at east?
But immediatelly I appeal my inference. What if he was not able to open that door? (And I counter appeal. Shouldn’t he mention that he had to find a door he was able to open?)
Final conclusion: under oath he must show the door, either on floorplan or picture.
(By the way, I’ve just finished my investigation of a technical issue. Last week we performed a low pitch lossless data recording. The manager confessed he probably screwed up, literally by some screws. So I had to check the recordings. The error he caused is approximately 0.5% only. Tada!)
We have a footage that door 8 was not open, but someone had an entry card in the car.
EDIT:
Same area of footage:
Perhaps? And might I add this makes an interesting cross of BTwp uniform and ESU style battle dress! Not to mention his not being included in any documentation thus far. I would make the same case for the Dickey that popped up out of seemingly nowhere (a Slippery Rock Dickey, which seems fitting ) and rolled out in the Terradyne to hospital detail. It seems very odd that these individuals weren’t included anywhere…
Wow! This one looks like a very close match to me. Same nose and similar, if not the same, sunglasses. Great find. Impressive!
Indeed, the absence of evidence is not the evidence of absence, but I feel without the evidence to verify it or at least support it in some way, reason demonstrating why this would likely not be his course of actions, and actual video evidence of a nearby point in time where he did in fact exit the door in question, the scenario where he went down the stairs and then across multiple buildings to door 9 first relies heavily on the A word we don’t want to use.
I don’t particularly like this idea for a couple of reasons:
- It relies too heavily on “maybe” this, or “might have been” that. Maybe the door wouldn’t open, and he needed to find another way out. He doesn’t mention a struggle to find a way out or any impediments. He bounded down the stairs and pushed open a door. He didn’t bound down the stairs, encounter a locked door, try to find another way out only to have it “blocked” somehow, and then have to renavigate to some odd door on the other side of multiple buildings. I feel like this is overcomplicating things in order to a***** door 9 is somehow possible or even reasonable.
- I believe it highly unlikely for whatever route he would have had to door 8 to be blocked, or even for door 13 to not open for that matter. We have seen the type of doors they use, they lock from the outside, you can open them from the inside with a push bar. AGR as a business would have to maintain a lot of things, including means of safe egress, walkways, and exits, both emergency exits and otherwise, in order to keep up with OSHA regulations.
I wonder if it’s possible to find an actual floorplan or something alike.
Is that Collins car he gets the keycards out of? He says there’s three or four of them there.
Thank you! This guy caught my attention before, I believe he may have been one of the men transporting the orange legged ladder as well, but his outfit/kit always stood out to me, and I’m glad to have seemingly figured it out!
Oh and here’s that link btw before I forget:

Another good find!
To be clear it matches the timeline…What time were those screenshots in front of Door 8? Are they after 18:20 when Murphy was released from intersection duty after the motorcade went through on the way to the hospital, and before the 19:18 start time of bodycam (helmetcam) number 4?
This is Pearson standing with him in that later bodycam footage, right?
Edit: That looks like a Sheriff’s patch though. (My coffee just finished brewing, so I’m still in limbo, somewhat.)
And what do we make of having two Murphy’s with Butler Township? Since Robert Murphy is part of Command, like Pearson, wouldn’t it make more sense for bodycam 4 to be his, hanging out with Pearson later in the evening?
Edit: Half a cup of coffee later, it wouldn’t make sense for Sgt. R. Murphy to be part of command and on intersection duty.
These are right around 18:31:00, so yes, they certainly fit that timeline! And this is that intersection:
That does indeed look a lot like Pearson, but yeah he seems to be standing with two BuC Sheriffs and the buttondown/tacvest guy.
I found this interesting too, the multiple Murphys. I wonder if they are related? And the cam footage looks to me to be chest worn, not helmet worn. I’m thinking that maybe Sean Murphy, wearing the ESU style kit, could have been out with Butler ESU not BT traffic control, Robert Murphy on PDOps3 for BT Command, Sean Murphy would likely in this case to be on PDOps4. But this relies on a good amount of speculation.
But then what about Vensel, also BT Command:
See my post coffee edit about Sgt. Murphy. It makes more sense for Sean Murphy to be at the Sheetz intersection, then puts his tac vest on when he gets to AGR afterwards. What do we have for call signs for the two Murtphy’s?
Okay, that’s it…I’m going to need more coffee to keep up with up with your reasoning capability. . Good point!
BTW, I have this slide in my new Door 13 analysis…which I am currently working on the best finding I have made to date on that. Definitely hype!
