As natural as that withdrawal is, I can’t think of a situation where it leads to better outcomes. If your marriage is deteriorating it never helps to ignore the difficulties by distracting and “self-medicating” yourself. If a rival nation starts building up its war-fighting capacities while constantly challenging and encroaching on yours that’s no time to passively hope for the best and put all your eggs in the “Peace in our time” basket. If your vehicle starts making ominous sounds and suffering performance breakdowns it’s no time to hope it heals itself after a night of rest in your driveway.
Anyway, that’s why I think the people who are going to survive and prosper through the approaching Bottleneck are those who aren’t paralyzed/disabled by their emotions and are able to function with mental agility even under very stressful conditions. Everyone needs short little breaks from the stress from time to time but I’m afraid those who check out and avoid looking at the stress factors and don’t take constructive action to deal with them have already been marked by evolution for extinction. Sad but true.

I’ll expand a bit. Bret Weinstein, familiar figure in PP too. He explained nazi ideology original form to be in biology, to favor next of kin(ideology was tainted along the way to fit powers at be + it was written over 20 years prior WW2). So I see like in islam and many other minorities, be it disabled, is this righteous hatred as they feel “threatened” as group simply as they are minority. By that everything is okay, to favor your group. In this way this rabbi is exact same. Playing victim in modern words. Tactical advantage. In purest form it is biological favoring of closest kin, your group. Humans have this trait. It can be easily fervored out like nazis did. But nowadays it is not used by nazis but by many others, cloaking themselves in these oppressed, minority, supposed hate target argumentation.
My only caution with all of this is that there is a fine line between reacting to bad news and then looking for news to feel bad about. Which makes us feel good because it reinforces our world view, aka doom scrolling. Moral is a critical part of warfare and its important to pay attention to it. The intention behind my original post was to express the idea of ‘if we are getting a sudden uptick of bad news, we should try to find and include more good news/things to balance it out’ for the sake of moral.
I have been noticing a general vibe shift in the past ~4 months of the PP community, where the terminology being used is expressing an ever increasing ‘us vs them’ mentality, like we find in many other major social media platforms. I just want to make sure that we dont fall for the same failings as those other communities. Since you cant build much of a community when we have dehumanized 3/4th of the population in our minds, due to being demoralized knowingly or not.

Energy to extract one Troy ounce of silver: 0.0076 MWH
For gold: 0.5882 MWH
(Note the ratio: gold/silver = 77x!)
Oil/gold = 2.83x
Oil/silver = 219x
What about refining metals?
Silver = 250 MWH
Gold = 0.775 MWH
I don’t think these values are correct. A more complete comparison would be total energy to extract and refine per unit.
Until the technology changes, this might be a good basis for judging the relative price of these three assets from a fundamental view.
Technically, the rapid rise in silver price vs gold and oil has me hesitant. A retrace back to $50 might be possible - but we could tag $100 very soon.
Oil (and services companies) is out of whack with silver and gold. It suggests an overdue surge in oil prices. Soon? IDK.
I am always amazed at the UK and the EU. With it looking like silver has a lot further to go and so assuming oil has to move to return the ratio closer to the historical mean. When looking to the left of the chart, i guesstimate we have, what, 3-4 months before oil really starts to move. Then, what, a month or 2 before old inventories clear and the price of everything really starts to move so say, we should expect to see inflation pick up proper in early spring of next year?

@cmartenson You used Hedgeye’s post to show that silver is now worth the equivalent or more than the value of a barrel of oil. I’m not trying to create friction: I honestly don’t understand what you meant by referencing this one tweet. What exactly were you trying to say/infer with this?
I also have some rhetorical questions that may affect your answer: How many barrels of oil does it take to extract an ounce of silver nowadays? Then add in the value of the labour and all the other capital inputs to extract that ounce. I’m thinking that silver is just now catching up to it’s real value compared to other commodities. I’ve been stacking silver and waiting for this to happen for almost 25 years now.
PS. I also think that oil is severely underpriced at the moment, similar to what silver has experienced the past decade or two.
I had some silver coins still in an online bank through my original broker. I thought I should get most of it in out of there now so I put in an order and the original confirmation said it would take at most 2 weeks to fulfill. But 3 weeks later there still hadn’t been any progress on the request. Something didn’t feel right. So I called and talked to an agent who could look at my account and what was happening that I could not find out about. After some time he said it looked like the order was getting ready. After 3 weeks it was only now starting to get ready to shipment? A week or so later I finally did get them. But I’m highly suspicious that ‘My’ metals were not actually in ‘My’ holding box. And they needed to quickly find some (probably from someone else’s box) to send to me. That seems to be their normal practice anyway for decades.
Chris is great since he lets me go on about my “non-standard” views of how I think the universe works. I am not at all certain he thinks this way - about event streams, about manifesting, about these being the teachings of Jesus, etc.
I suspect my “non-standard” views (on “event creation physics”) are in the minority. In my world, simply ignoring bad news isn’t the plan - its focusing on what I’d like to create. Getting into a feeling of “having this positive outcome”, vs staying in a place of terror about “something BAD that’s on the way” thus helping to (unconsciously) create that BAD event. But again, I’m sure plenty of people do not share this view.
It seems to work for me, at least in my personal experiments. Someone once said, “greater works than these shall you do.” So I’m giving it a shot.

The one thing that really caught my attetion was the plight of our farmers and how the US is along the same ass path as the UK and the EU in regard to our farmers. I thought America was better off, but I was incorrect. American farmers are literally getting squeezed out of business, hard.
Sorry to say the whole famer situation reminds me of the stupid film, Idiocracy. This farming centered consolidation policy is that fucking stupid. And it’s not just farming, almost everything important has been monopolized.
