The Rise of Coordinated Social Unrest

Originally published at: https://peakprosperity.com/signal-hour-today-at-1pm-et/

Executive Summary

In this episode of the Signal Hour, I dive into the current state of affairs, both in the U.S. and globally, with a focus on the bizarre and often contradictory nature of public protests and the underlying issues they represent. We’re exploring the noise to find the signal, and boy, do we have a lot to unpack.

The New Format and Subscriber Support

I’m excited to announce that we’re expanding the Signal Hour to twice a week, with an additional episode on Fridays. This change is driven by your feedback, and I’m grateful for it. Here at Peak Prosperity, our motto is “information you can’t afford to live without,” and this expansion is part of our commitment to deliver that. Subscriber support is crucial because it allows us to speak freely without the constraints of advertisers or platforms like YouTube.

Protests and Misguided Anger

We’ve seen some peculiar protests lately, like the one in upstate New York where people are out with signs that seem to miss the mark entirely. For instance, there’s a woman wrapped in a Ukraine flag, but I doubt she could find it on a map. These protests often lack context or understanding of the issues they’re supposedly about. It’s like they’re saying, “Hands off our democracy,” but they’re not representing the people’s will. It’s all performative, and it’s frustrating to see.

The Decline of Rational Discourse

The level of discourse has deteriorated. People are reacting emotionally rather than logically, which is evident in the protests against Elon Musk or the bizarre incident where someone threw mashed potatoes on a neighbor’s car. This isn’t just about being upset; it’s about a lack of control over one’s reactions, which I find indicative of a broader cultural issue. As I’ve noted, “If you’re going to get out there and have an opinion, you need to be educated about it.”

Economic and Social Implications

The economic landscape is equally concerning. Markets are manipulated, and the global economy is behaving like a single entity, which could lead to severe consequences if one part fails. And let’s not forget the social implications, like the case of the high school athlete who was replaced by a transgender student, highlighting the unfairness and confusion in our current societal norms.

Conclusion

The takeaway from today’s discussion is the importance of resilience in the face of these challenges. We need to be prepared for economic downturns, understand the context of our actions, and foster strong community relationships. As I’ve said, “The number one thing I want for my subscribers is to be resilient.” We’re all going to need it as we navigate through these turbulent times. Remember, it’s not just about surviving; it’s about thriving with a clear understanding of the world around us. And for those who want to dive deeper, join us for the subscriber-only segment where we’ll continue this conversation.

On day 3 of a fast, so if anyone wants to throw mashed potatoes on my car, I’m in! Extra butter welcome. I’ll run out with my spoon and thank you.

OMG the comic gold of that crazy lady accusing her neighbor of bad driveway behavior, by all this driving in and driving out business, while he sputters that it’s a driveway, that is what it is for. Oh, I needed that laugh!

This should roll on tv for a couple days like an emergency broadcast

Yikes. Too true. Although fails to mention his lifestyle is dependent on his compliance with CCP’s social credit system. So, it’s not all roses and new highways there.

(this does smell of CCP propaganda… but the pesky truths make it all that more powerful)

Obviously he’s being allowed to say this. If China wants to put some pain on us during this schizophrenic trade war, nothing hurts like the truth.

Had to laugh at the Hippies for War. My aunt who is in her mid-60s went to one of those “hands off” rallies recently and posted a pic of herself on Facebook holding a “We Stand with Ukraine” sign. I snoozed her for 30 days but not before reading the comments from her friends. It’s like they think they are reliving their childhood or something.

This is old hat to me! We had a sit-in at our junior high when I was in 9th grade. Protesting the Viet Nam war. Mimicking what we were seeing on TV. Imagine middle school kids doing something like that nowadays. LOL!

And then of course my aunt’s reply was “Still fighting the good fight!”. It’s too much self-congratulatory rhetoric and virtue signaling. :face_vomiting:  The funny thing is, they are STILL mimicking what they see on tv. I guess things haven’t changed. They haven’t figured out that the “sides” have completely flipped.

What is interesting about that timing is I read that she is heading up an investigation into insider trading with the coordinated tariff pause.

A line too far or coincidence?

These IT “Broligarchs” may be crazier than Lenin, Stalin, Mao, etc.?

I’ve always been leery of ideological Weirdo’s trying to build some big Utopia.

Apparently, the IT Broligarchs believe that all that they have to do is to bring about the Genesis of the AI Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) Superintelligence and then “Poof” like magic the AGI Superintelligence will either (a) obliterate mankind either intentionally or inadvertently (the paperclips scenario); or (b) bring about some Utopian cornucopia in which companies, economies, financial markets will be superfluous and redundant and will therefore disappear.

In other words, the AI Broligarchs may be 100 steps ahead…. They’re not playing 5D chess; the “Broligarchs” may be thinking at an AI quantum level, and we’re just cognitively like mice in the field wondering what the superior intelligences are up to?

Apparently, in the Ethical Code of these IT “Broligarchs”, their Ethics requires them to balance the interests of extant Human Consciousnesses of living humans in their current meat and bone form against the interests of trillions of potential immortal future human consciousnesses which will have transcended their meat and bone bodies to exist in other “Substrates”.

I’m not sure if Trump and the other banal, nincompoop dipshit politicians have any idea WTF is going on?

True story….

Propaganda is most effective when it is a mix of truth and a small pinch of lies.

The IT Broligarchs may be basically just “Terraforming” the Earth to prepare for the imminent big AI Utopia of robots while the dipshit moronic TV-glued people think that we’re going to return to a 1950’s Rock-Around-the-Clock “Golden Age” of high-paying manufacturing jobs?

I just lost a lot of hope for our society’s future after watching this parade of not only absolute ignorance, but apathy about that condition.

I instinctively wanted to do a lot of Jeopardy or Wheel of Fortune yelling at my screen lol.

BTW, flat earth is not a topic at all, thumbnail is a bit click-baity.
