Tucker Carlson: "I'm starting to think that maybe this is by design"

Originally published at: Tucker Carlson: “I’m starting to think that maybe this is by design” – Peak Prosperity

Welcome to Episode #6 of the “Is It Too Late?” series. It was my distinct honor to interview Tucker Carlson, whom I consider to be the leading journalistic voice of our times. More than anybody else, Tucker brings context and wide-ranging exploration of the most pressing issues of the day.

His personal mission has two commitments: tell the truth without fear and love the people around you relentlessly.

As you can see from the timestamps below, we covered a lot of territory. Tucker and I shared our concerns about what’s driving Trump, the Iran war, AI, fiscal irresponsibility and mounting debts, and the long-running war against white Christian males.

Not surprisingly, Tucker also believes in being prudently prepared by stockpiling food and owning gold and has had that stance for the past 20 years. But he cautioned that preparation should strengthen life, not consume it with fear, noting that it can become spiritually corrosive if it crowds out kindness and human relationships.

One of my central questions to each of my guests concerns whether the pattern of insults and harmful actions that are damaging my country, the U.S. specifically, and the West more generally, is the consequence of stacked incompetence or if they represent malevolent intent.

Are we fumbling our way forward, or is someone or something trying to take us down? Tucker observed that if people keep doing the same thing, you eventually have to conclude that those things are by design, even if those things (like starting a war with Russia) seem insane to you. This is hard for normal, good-hearted people to get their minds around, but it’s the best explanation for what we’re seeing these days.

We then explored whether the U.S. can recover its economic stability, public trust, equal justice and prospects for future generations, and whether it has instead entered a predicament that cannot be solved through conventional political or financial remedies.

Neither of us believe in the electronic voting machines and shared puzzlement over the fact that neither party seems to have the slightest inclination to replace these defective machines. So, if we can’t vote our way out of it, then what’s left? What exactly are our next steps?

There’s not a lot of hope for change coming from the top, as Tucker contends that the concentration of wealth and the erosion of the middle class have transformed American politics, creating a ruling class increasingly (and perhaps hopelessly) disconnected from ordinary citizens.

And what exactly are we to make of the Iran and Russian wars? Tucker argues that the attacks on energy infrastructure in both conflicts involving threaten not just petroleum supplies, but also fertilizer production, sulfur availability and therefore the global food system. Surely this cannot be accidental or unintentional…

But perhaps the most illuminating parts of the conversation were Tucker’s recounting of his own break with Trump and how Trump seemed to change suddenly after the Butler PA assassination attempt. Tellingly, Trump shut down the investigation into the shooting, leaving us all wondering what the meaning is behind that move.

Tucker’s break with Can Bongino was similarly sudden and bizarre. Tucker recalled a phone conversation with Dan while he was still within the FBI, who said, “However bad you think it is here, it’s 10 times worse.”

So I had to ask, “What do you think happens to people when they go to DC? If they’re led into a room, are they bribed or threatened?” Tucker doesn’t know, but it seems like ‘threats’ is the most likely answer. Whatever it was, it scared Bongino to the point that he’s lashing out at even long-time friends.

In one unexpected moment, Tucker expressed a keen interest in the bridge I have been building over our dam out of hemlock cut and milled here on the farm. Yes, building things is one of my happy spots.

Bridge from the Bottom

Bridge from the Top

Be sure to listen or watch to the end. Tucker shared his optimism about the future resting with the 26-year-olds who now work for him, who he described as truly impressive people – far more impressive than he recalls being at their age.

Enjoy!

Note:

I find AI summaries to be quite useful. So here’s an AI summary of this week’s podcast. I’ll probably start including these going forward, but rest assured I will always be crystal clear when something is written by AI. Otherwise, I write everything that carries my name.

AI Summary

  1. The wars against Russia and Iran are hitting refined products and fertilizer on purpose. Both conflicts do the same thing: they take out refineries and sulfur, which hits diesel and global fertilizer. Carlson’s rule is that if someone keeps producing the same result, that result is the point. He ties it to Ted Kaczynski’s 1995 argument that once machines are smarter than people, labor becomes surplus and population has to come down. Leaders think in resources and headcount, not in battles. Martenson agrees it is intentional, not stacked incompetence.
  2. The leadership class is openly hostile to the historic Western population, and the outcome matches the statements. Carlson notes the long public record of hostility toward white Christian men across the US, Europe, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, including from presidents. Mass immigration continues even where it lowers birth rates less than the imported populations raise them. The meritocracy that once selected talent for DC has, in his view, produced the wrong people. Trump made the demographic change undeniable by triggering hysteria the moment anyone named it.
  3. There is no political or fiscal rescue; the work is personal and local. Martenson frames the economy as a predicament to manage, not a problem with a solution. Trump saying the debt will be inflated away is the match to the fuse. Electronic voting is hackable; if neither side reverts to paper, the vulnerability is intentional. AI and nuclear risk sit on the horizon while the system has lost the capacity to protect itself. The practical response Carlson keeps returning to is to tell the truth without fear and love the people around you. The young who have avoided the traps give him the most hope.

Chris opens by asking whether the United States can still offer a fair shake and a viable future to the young, or whether it is already too late. Carlson treats the energy and fertilizer damage from the two wars as evidence of intent, not accident, and links the larger pattern to leaders who think in population terms once AI is assumed to make human labor unnecessary. He describes his own shift from inside the system to outside it as the slow recognition that the meritocracy selects the wrong traits, that demographic replacement is central to the agenda, and that the hostility is stated out loud. The second half turns to what remains: relationships pruned by COVID and later events until only the authentic are left, the clarity Trump forces even when he is not doing it deliberately, and the practical limits of one person’s influence. Carlson’s closing note is that voting, AI, and the federal system cannot be trusted to self-correct, so the work is to stay truthful, stay local, and notice that the young who have not been destroyed by the traps already know what is required of them.

I believe the Butler assassination attempt was a staged event set up to make Trump look good. In hindsight that was probably when he sold out to the deep state (banksters) to get back in office. What else explains the large number of press at the event, the multiple directions of shots, the prompt cleaning of the crime scene, the blood from the ear but no detectable missing piece weeks later, his shutting down the investigation, etc.

The FBI has been grossly corrupt from it initial founding by Hoover. He used it to spy on people, blackmail politicians, kill dissidents, etc.

The AI summary censored itself a lot regarding Epstein, Kirk, what made people change, etc.

My AI still tells me that the COVID vaccines saved millions of lives and people who took Hydroxychloroquine, Ivermectin or even Vitamin D/zinc supplements were misinformed. I told it that it suffered from binary thinking.

I agree that the problem is with us, “we the people.” WE have to change before we’re going to see any big macro changes.

I also resonate with the idea that keeping your eyes open can lead to a very dark place. However, by faith in God, I leave that with him and haven’t “lost my humanity” or the capacity to live a life of love and joy.

All we can do now is speak the truth fearlessly and depend on God for the outcomes. We are The Remnant.

Thank you, Chris, for that very compelling conversation. I didn’t want to spend a full 90 minutes listening on a busy day but after the first 10 minutes I was hooked. Two great minds and apparently kindred spirits discussing big ideas was fascinating. I did take away the message to work on myself first, then the small world around me. Much like The Serenity Prayer. If enough of us do that, we could bring about a substantially better world.

The thoughts Tucker thinks and the things Tucker says, he thinks and says them for money. Lots of money. He did so for Fox and now he does so for you.

All with the stamp of approval from the powers that be. Or does his channel get banned or throttled like everyone else claims? Do advertisers run a mile or is his show full of them?

I know it’s a great accolade to get on Tucker’s show and I don’t mean to denigrate that. I just have some observations of some of these talking heads.

Btw - I don’t expect anyone to agree with me. But, then again, most of you were still backing Trump up to about May and RFK (sorry, RFK Junior) up until about now. Untrickable you are. Totally untrickable.

This makes me think of “abductive reasoning”: inferring what cannot be seen from what can be seen that surrounds it.

Burying Epstein truths seemed to be Job 1 for the supposedly reformist Trump admin. What is that? Then we look at what is seen that surrounds it - a superficially incomprehensible series of self-destructive decisions.

It leaves me thinking the global destruction is intentional and all one thing. And “Epstein” is the control framework used by the real powers. They, their agenda and their control levers MUST remain hidden. But so foul and overwhelming that it overtakes everyone immersed in it like Trump or Bongino.

How long has this been going on? Probably way longer than I can imagine. So “they” did a lot of reaping during the last forty years of unipolar American empire and boomer generation excess. But “they” see debt & fiat is about played out and AI is ascendant, so time to reset. Too many humans with finite resources and growing AI & robots.. Have to reduce the excess humans! Especially that pesky western civilization created by white men that prizes individualism and liberty. Tear it down! But first, shake the remaining coins out of the peasants’ pockets. Then create a digital prison to keep the remainder in line.

That’s the plan anyway. The Destruction part is relatively easy. Destruction of what’s been created is always easier than creation. Creating something enduring to replace it – that will be trickier.

Younger generation like Julian Dorey give me hope that there’s another crop of humans coming up who gets it. Indeed, way ahead of where I was at their age.

Now I need to have a look at Kaczynski’s manifesto. I had no idea there may’ve been some prescient wisdom in that 30 years ago!

Thanks Chris, for daring to state that it’s intentional. And it’s oddly comforting because now we know who we’re dealing with.

I led Bible study today for my church and our reading was Matthew 22:15–22, and it shows the pattern. The Pharisees (religious) and the Herodians (aristocrats) often fought each other, but they united to trap Jesus. They came with flattery: “Teacher, we know you are sincere… you show deference to no one.” Then the trap: “Is it lawful to pay taxes to the emperor, or not?”

Jesus saw it immediately. “Aware of their malice,” He named the hypocrisy and answered in a way that exposed them. They left.

That’s the model of who “they” are. Opposed factions, cooperating to destroy a common threat. Sound familiar?

Tucker and Chris reached the same conclusion this week: this isn’t stacked incompetence. It’s by design. The wars against Russia and Iran targeting refineries and fertilizer. The AI doom narrative timed with a regulatory capture playbook. The Epstein files sealed. The voting machines untouched. The pattern is too consistent to be accident.

Why the hostility toward the West? Tucker pointed to theological roots. Netanyahu has called Rome the enemy and the U.S. the new Rome. There’s something older than politics driving this.

Below is a figure from my second book. I’ve titled it The Council of 71.

Even with my vocal identification of Zionists as a core group of who “they” are, I would push back on the temptation to make it solely ethnic. The Sanhedrin wasn’t “the Jews.” It was 71 men—a captured elite class. The Roman Senate wasn’t “the Romans.” It was a captured elite class. Today’s uniparty isn’t “any one group.” It’s a captured elite class, drawn from every background, answerable to no one.

Call it the High Table. A system composed of different members from various global tribes. But I would bet there is a defined group of ruling men and women. They exist. It’s maybe not 70, but it’s a defined group.

The only practical response is what both men are practicing: act first as an individual of God. Act locally. Tell the truth without fear. Love the people around you.

The dam is going to break, and the parallels to Rome grow stronger every day. Hearing that we are advocating the public execution of a prisoner, and Trump posting videos of animals mauling people, it’s incredulous but on track for a trajectory that parallels 2,000 years ago more closely than we care to admit.

My second book will come out this month, and I will have six maps and illustrations. I modeled the remnant as a school after what Chris is building. I even included my fictional characters’ intent to build a bridge as an activity for the season in 65 AD. It seemed appropriate.

God bless you all.

Whether it agrees with you or not, the best information will be dug out by asking where it came from, how you can know it’s true and how you can know it’s false.

Matthew 24 is bracing! Although opinions vary about what Jesus meant by “this generation”.

From which directions, do you believe, were gunshots fired?
(not including the police shots fired by Zaliponi, King, or the ~400 meter range police shooter claimed by Trump and by Erik Prince)

Thanks for giving me a reason to read that chapter again. I strangely felt comforted in reading it.

I dont mind sharing that before I started bible study almost 3 years ago, I was totally naive to the fall of the second temple in 70AD.

I hold onto we dont know when He will return so assume it could be now. As for the generation, it is puzzling. Some of them presumably saw Titus raze the second temple.

Maybe they are all still “existing” and waiting for his return.

Maybe its the followers of Jesus who will endure? I have learned to be very comfortable holding the tension not knowing.

Yes, the New Testament repeats that no one knows the hour. It’ll come like a thief in the night, so be vigilant, endure and finish the race. Although there will be signs. It is pretty curious how much CBDC fits with Mark of the Beast, which years ago I could not imagine as practically possible.

One of the FBI snipers testified under oath to taking fire from a different direction. Indeed, on the video it looks like he was looking around and ducking. Also, to my knowledge, no officials bothered to publicly examine the trajectories of the bullets that went into the stands and if it makes sense given Crooks’ location. Then there is the whole backstory with Comperatore that is so sinister that some pundits only touched it briefly and quickly changed subjects. His wife is not satisfied with the FBI “investigation” of the event. A real grieving widow.

I love Paul’s “finish the race.” He’s a central character in Book 2, and that line comes from his last letter to Timothy during his second imprisonment in Rome.

I’ve also puzzled over “the mark” and have left it as an open question for now. There are moments when events click into place, when it was obvious but I missed it. I love those events because they keep me humble.

This ties directly into today’s reading as well. Give the digital currency to the rulers, give God what is God’s. Maybe support Chris’s local currency initiatives? It certainly feels like digital currency will lead to total enslavement. Only remnants, people like Chris who have assets for trade, will be free.

But, I also love Chris’s message that our rulers overestimate their ability to control people. He hints at the youth leading, which gives me hope too. But I also keep thinking about prisoners because even in prison, they can trade. They can hide a shank. No system, no matter how total, can fully extinguish the human spirit so if they are able to implement digital currency, and they most likely will succeed, there will be wiggle room. Maybe that wiggle room will get tighter and tighter or maybe there will be an uprising. Or maybe Christ Jesus returns when all seems lost.

I was scanning my notes and forgot to share two points.

Chris did a GREAT job pressing Tucker on those moments when words or realizations just appear and there is often a vehement response from the opposition. It’s telling. Tucker didn’t say “Holy Spirit” because I think he’s careful not to presume. And Chris pressed him. That was an excellent exchange.

I’d add this, and I think others may have likely experienced it too: when reading in church, or riffing in a conversation, when there’s an inward focus and an intent on connection, truth, love, and compassion, when speaking from the heart, words sometimes seem to appear. Where they come from, I think we can say, with a huge amount of caution, may in some instances be the Holy Spirit.

And on “them”, Jesus says specifically that they will not be chosen. It’s not the intelligent. It’s the people who have the essence of infants, or children depending on the translation. I would propose that it’s tied to people who can remain childlike or naive in how they engage the world.
