In the UK, Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley has announced that legal action will be pursued against both British and American citizens for online posts related to recent riots. Rowley stated that the law will be enforced against those inciting violence and hatred online, regardless of their location, including potential extradition and imprisonment of American citizens. This crackdown has faced criticism from figures like Elon Musk, who likened the UK government’s response to authoritarian regimes. Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer’s spokesperson defended the measures, highlighting the responsibility of social media companies to curb misinformation and criminal activity.
Meanwhile, Michael Yan, a former Green Beret and independent war correspondent, has shared his observations on the current state of global and domestic affairs. Yan highlights what he sees as the United States’ vulnerabilities, including open borders, economic instability, and a divided populace. He notes the strategic movements of countries like China, which is expanding its influence through economic investments and migration tactics. Yan warns of the potential cultural and demographic shifts due to global migration patterns, which he believes could lead to civil unrest and the erosion of national identities. He advocates for personal preparedness, community organization, and a proactive approach to survival, emphasizing resilience and adaptability in the face of an increasingly unstable global landscape.

Senator Chuck Grassley is intensifying scrutiny on the Secret Service following newly released bodycam footage from a Butler police officer. The footage shows the officer’s frustration over ignored warnings to secure a building from which Thomas Matthew Crooks fired shots at a Trump rally, resulting in the death of firefighter Corey Comperatore. Grassley has questioned Secret Service Acting Director Ronald Rowe’s testimony about the line-of-sight local counter-snipers had during the incident. He has requested detailed records, including a site diagram of counter-sniper positions and pre-rally meeting notes. Additionally, Grassley has sought information from Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas regarding Asif Merchant, a Pakistani man with alleged ties to the Iranian government, who was arrested for attempting to hire assassins to kill Trump.
Records released by Grassley show that Crooks visited the Clairton Sportsmen’s Club at least 43 times before the attempted assassination. These visits included several instances where Crooks might have had company, as indicated by matching sign-in times with another individual. The club, which spans 180 acres and includes multiple rifle ranges, is also used by the Department of Homeland Security for police training. Club president Bill Sellitto stated that the incident does not reflect the club’s values. Crooks, who had previously tried out for his high school rifle team but was rejected for poor marksmanship, had engaged in what Grassley’s office described as “intense preparation” in the months leading up to the rally.
