Unreliable Polls, Russian Plots, and Rate Cuts: Bring me Some Vitamin D

Economy

The Federal Reserve is preparing to cut interest rates again, with inflation cooling to 2.4%, close to its 2% target. This move, led by Chair Jerome Powell, aims to recalibrate the economy to a lower-inflation environment rather than stimulate growth. The Fed plans a quarter-point reduction to approximately 4.6%, following a half-point cut in September, with further cuts anticipated. However, the upcoming presidential election introduces uncertainty, particularly if Donald Trump returns to power, as his proposed tariffs could reportedly drive inflation up, potentially altering the Fed’s course.

Geopolitics

In Europe, officials have accused Russia of plotting to bomb US-bound planes, escalating concerns about Moscow’s sabotage activities during the Ukraine-Russia conflict. Arrests have been made, and incendiary devices linked to Russian intelligence were reportedly intended to ignite fires on aircraft. The allegations have prompted calls for deeper NATO involvement in supporting Ukraine, though questions remain about the investigation’s conclusions and the motive behind such actions.

Relatedly, the recent BRICS summit in Kazan concluded with the Kazan Declaration, advocating for global governance and the central role of the United Nations. The declaration emphasizes multilateralism, international law, and equitable representation within the UN, while addressing climate change and health issues. It supports the International Monetary Fund’s role in global finance and endorses the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, highlighting the importance of public-private partnerships.

Meanwhile, Richard Poe’s book presents a historical perspective on geopolitical strategies, suggesting that the British Empire played a significant role in the development of communism. The book argues that British intelligence orchestrated revolutions, including the Russian Revolution, to weaken rivals like Russia. This strategy allegedly involved manipulating political movements and using “color revolutions” to disguise foreign-sponsored coups as popular uprisings.

Health

In North America, the U.S., Canada, and Mexico have launched a joint pandemic preparedness plan, focusing on a “One Health” approach. This initiative aims to unify public health efforts across the three countries, addressing the interconnected health of humans, animals, and the environment. Critics express concern that this plan could empower the World Health Organization to enforce global control measures, such as vaccine passports. The initiative seeks to address challenges through coordinated regional efforts, focusing on zoonotic diseases and public health countermeasures.

In other news, a study from the Micronutrient Information Center highlights America’s nutrient deficiency issue, with Vitamin D topping the list. An estimated 96% of Americans fall below the average dietary requirement for Vitamin D, which is crucial for bone health and immunity. The deficiency is attributed to limited sun exposure and dietary sources. Experts recommend more nutrient-dense foods to meet dietary requirements, as American diets are often energy-rich but nutrient-poor.

US Election

As the U.S. election approaches, conflicting polls have left voters uncertain. In Iowa, polls show varying leads for Trump and Harris, with some suggesting a swing in favor of Harris. In battleground states, polls indicate close races, with discrepancies raising questions about their reliability. Despite the uncertainty, the emphasis remains on the importance of voting, as polls have low credibility at this point.

Finally, the upcoming U.S. election is viewed by some as a pivotal moment in what is described as a “Fourth Turning,” a period of crisis marked by economic, social, political, and military distress. The election is expected to be contentious, with fears of election fraud and political manipulation. Economic distress, social unrest, and political corruption contribute to a landscape fraught with uncertainty, urging preparation and resilience in the face of challenging times ahead.

Oh, look! Elections haven’t even closed and the NATO false flags to suck America into WWIII have already started! I guess that means Trump must be way ahead.

I just looked Lockheed stock and it has been in slump since late october. At this point difficult to say from news what is by whom. I got bitten badly by Nordstream… top journalist was right afterall, it was just very grim reality to acknowledge.

Oh, what a surprise, BRICS is yet another pro-globalist organisation.
The Mexico-USA-Canada health alliance reminds me of that political/economic push a few years ago to make all three the one country, with a big railway/highway joining them all to ship freight (and no doubt, people) between the three.
There’s not much to trust about the US erection. There’s so much fraud already happening that it’s going to be difficult to trust any result, other than a Trump win. I’m expecting the DS to swoop in last minute and spike the results for a Harris win - the more obviously fraudulent the better - so as to incite riots. As Chris has said, “the reaction is the objective”.

I have participated in the planning and dry run practice (tabletop exercise) of a OneHealth response. It is a WHO initiative to consider the triad of humans, animals, AND environment in responding to any large scale medical situation. My initial interpretation is that this is a “it all comes back to the environment, remember your impact on the environment in everything you do” kumbaya.

Maybe a preemptive deterrent to us eventually setting up some eastern style wet markets in lieu of eating lab grown bugs.

I had, and occasionally revisit some, misgivings about even participating, granting some validity to the practice.

Although very well run, my experience of it was that the environment was really hard to bring into a normal “health professional” exercise (the vets and rural human docs all knew each other anyway).

The one I did was a great resource for some people who normally do emergency response and prep exercises independently, to meet and mingle and swap cards, and stir up some new routes for aiding each others’ agencies.

My impression is that implementation in a real world scenario would generally not pose a threat to liberty where I live; however, our local culture is a generally defiant one, we are not like the rest of the US.

!It IS a possible fallback for bureaucrats to point to as a justification for limiting travel or food sales.

Just like any practice scenario, it’s scary for outside observers to realize “omg, you’ve trained on how to manage anthrax infected waste?!”, (Yeah, it happens.)
Better to run the scenario beforehand and royally screw it up now than run around screaming that we need all air filter manufacturers to retool to make life saving masks, and leave the actually-necessary medication in your Amazon package on the porch for 4 days before you touch it.

For obvious reasons, I tried hard to find a way to say “nobody likes watching how we make this sausage”. It’s stl the best way.

Happy to discuss further.

This didnt prevent covid shenanigans and suppressing doctor/any based expert when heat is on. Thus excercise is just excercise.

They wanna stick this to our faces for sure… just like CO2 this and that.

One guess could be someone plants diseased animals and “oops it spread to humans”. Covid 2. To cause mass panic. Great taking erhmm great reset ehm… financial crash is still set… need some cover happenings when that is going. Covid is great. People monitor each other instead of go having rallies and riots in manhattan harassing bankers.

Looking back, Im worried that if it hits outta blue, disease is more lethal in first waves. Then it mixes and dilutes over time and next waves. So then anthrax practise makes sense to be careful.

10-15 years ago, I saw a tv medical drama where someone quipped “when you hear hoofbeats, think horses, not zebras”.

I get the impression that real world medics (at least in the US) have never seen a zebra, couldnt ID one if it bit em in the soft spot, and are getting numb to horses. This practice run we did under the guise of “onehealth” could be paraphrased as “in case of zebra…”.

Here in the mountain southwest, we have anthrax native to the area, plus tularemia, plague, west nile, hantavirus and now occasionally zika. Zebras to many, horses or zhorses to us. So this practice wasn’t anthrax (that’s like a fallback for the annual hazmat recertification courses), but instead something only 10 pct of us had heard of. Getting forced into curiosity and new ways of problem solving was quite refreshing!

And I suspect the reality of it would be boring AF for politicians. Maybe useful as a thing to point to, to say “we’ll never be caught unprepared [like that exact scenario] again.”

Absolutely, the mystery of keeping it vague might be useful for those who wish to control others with fear.

I hope the tribe here would be pretty suspicious of anyone in “power” seeking to influence their behavior, resorting to fear, then attempting the same influence with a “more reasonable” argument after any strong emotion, not just fear!

These are extremely important excercises. Busyness and efficiency culture in west and US prides itself with this, flipside is people are very stuck in routines and dont wanna take in new stuff. Even doctors etc but of course like politician, doctor, lawer, it is harder to even admit this due to high status risk of damage to it… competition is there so no weakness is allowed. So it is not just top level that have these problems.
Problem alone is if everything ahs been 99.99% control, little bit of chaos and best of people cannot handle things anymore… covid was good example of that, professionals were just waving hands and didnt want to risk saying anything(fear of loosing status among colleagues I think). So in this small sliver of startup culture this is real thing. Politics people afterall do as good job as people report to them. Police, engineers, doctors, lawers… everyone has this problem, so if they dont want to report new stuff, politics machinery dont know about it and cant do anything about it.

This change from total control (or illusion of it everyone upholds) can alone push forward ball of fear.
