I identify with your reasoning. However, I disagree we’ll get thru 4 years of Biden. Biden is sick and he doesn’t look or speak well. My gut is telling me that Harris will be brought in as Biden is shown mentally or physically unfit. Unless she agrees to be acting president but Joe gets title of president for national security reasons. It’s possible I’m correct and where does that take us? Just remember Biden/Harris wont rule alone. We have a senate, a house and a supreme court. In 2022, the GOP will probably retake the house and hold the senate. Thats usually the way it goes. The point is there are checks and balances.
I dont think we have to worry too much about the government becoming a communist horror where we get force marched off of our property and thrown into camps. Not with 75 million armed Trump voters.

Brush hog, after this election do you really believe we will ever have fair and honest elections again? I don’t. We’ve been played massively. To the left, the ends always justify the means. Our media are carefully managed now, so that dissent will be increasingly seen as counterproductive and antisocial. We will continue to have elections (every totalitarian country showcases their “democratic” elections) but what meaning will they have?
So funny—even just 5 years ago I would have taken some comfort in your comments that we could determine policy through the ballot but I know it’s no longer the case. I disagree with these tables. It might sound close but it is not correct, If you are like ok, lets , let this burn. I understand it. Problem is, you will overload medical system. Take all those people who required medical treatment, even if for dehydration which can be deadly, and they cannot get it, you have an entirely different number.
It also makes light of all the people who have survived, and need hearts, lungs , kidneys and more. AND also those will be long-haulers.
further the math is not close to correct - in the USA we have about 12M cases and 270k deaths… that is actually something near cfr of 2% which is 1 in 50… completely different than your chart suggests. which is far less than 1:100. I am not going to entertain supposition on how many more people had they and how asymptomatic that they were… In fact its more likely that a lot of those cases that are recorded cases are actually fasle positives. yes there are false negatives too. and there are some people who had it never diagnosed. But on thing is for sure, you will not be included in a covid death, if you are not officially considered a case. I know they are including some deaths of untested people as covid deaths,. but i would imagine or rather cant imagine them not counting them as a case as well.
These people feeding this chart are the same people who told us months ago, that 30% or more have already have covid… and that we are near heard immunity… until you see what is going on now…, you can see they were wrong… If you read posts I had made months ago , saying I will laugh , when it shows that is incorrect. This disturbed me greatly… who the F determines ‘essential items’? Also, the small businesses are getting clobbered and shuttered, while the big box stores just keep on rolling and racking in the revenue by providing a whole lot of stuff over and above ‘essential products’.
With each passing day I see things with increasing clarity… shutting down the smaller businesses will force people to use the Amazon, Walmart, Home Depots and all the other corporate biggies. Slowly the herd is driven into the pens where they can be controlled, branded, and channelled into various pens based on maximum profitability to useless liabilities. Gee, where have I seen this before…
I wonder - will I be rated filet mignon, or regular ground beef? it might depend how hard I buck against the branding and penning process. And buck I will! The thing is if one of your friends or family members comes down with covid and you are quarantined with them anyway why waste time getting tested if you have symptoms? Just figure you have covid and treat at hime accordingly. These people only get “tested” if they need to go to the doctor’s office or hospital to get medicine to beat it. I have plenty of friends who went through this exact thing. They were quarantined and prevented from working because a family member had it and they ended up having symptoms a day or 2 later. Since they were excused from work 14 days already they never tested.

We're under heavy lockdown here in Manitoba and precisely because of concerns about fairness to small business the big box stores are restricted from selling anything other than 'essential products' in-store. If small stores can't sell Product X during lockdown, neither can the big boys. The intent is to reduce contacts from in-person shopping. However, if you know what you want, delivery or curbside pickup can be arranged for most shopping, essential or non. It takes planning but if you absolutely positively gotta have Product X right now, it's doable. One big challenge for small business owners I know is that they're not well set up for online shopping. It takes time and money to set up an e-commerce site and they're scrambling. It's boom time for web developers.

Thank you for your describing the nature of effective actions. Such actions are necessary, but they are quiet and unlikely to attract much notice now. Actions like these that are persistent and quiet are much less likely to arouse resistance from those now embedded in the status quo. But these actions are creating a foundation to which the embedded ones can turn as their world crumbles. This proactive action is so important!
We are working in this way in northeast Oklahoma. Many folks here are contributing quietly but practically to building this foundation. I’m aware of at least 6 organic gardens, including a budding market garden, in our 50-home neighborhood. And this includes periodic pre-pandemic neighborhood gatherings, now with ongoing online communication. It’s happening.

Your “empty streets” characterization is totally wrong. The streets are normal. Children are in school and people are working. That trail along a stream that Corbett is walking along is always empty during workdays as it is far away from shops. I have been on that same trail that you see in his video and was alone during weekdays (I live about 100km away from him now). The stream actually has koi in it.

Not true.
Countries of E Asia have about 50-100 times less covid because of contact tracing. The Chinese use their cell phones for this. The Japanese have learned to do this informally and formally at a more confidential level via a system put in place to handle tuberculosis. People pay much attention to their contacts and contact history.
Businesses and economies in Asia are doing much better than in America because there is much less lockdown over here, and much more washing/masking/contact tracing.
