Monday Round Up
I’m beginning to understand what it must be like to work for Elon Musk and why his companies do what others can’t. They don’t stop. They don’t rest.
All weekend long it was one more astonishing revelation after another. I don’t think there’s been a single day off since the day after the inauguration.
Frankly, it’s difficult to keep up, but that’s okay. This is how a revolution is supposed to feel.
Welcome to the 2nd American Revolution. I hope you enjoy your time here.
That’s not hyperbole, what’s taking place right now has no precedent in our system. After far too many years of complacency on the part of freedom-loving people, the raccoons and scoundrels of the ideological ultra-left executed a complete takeover of our major institutions, especially including the universities and government agencies and offices.
They tried a similar “ESG” and “DEI” takeover of corporate boardrooms, but those were rather immediately proven to be profit disasters (think “Bud Light” and woke Disney movies) and so are in the process of being ejected.
But the damage done to the young and impressionable has been extraordinary, with many falling for leftist ideas and ideals which, under examination, deliver people to a perpetual state of unhappiness, perpetual dissatisfaction, and resentment. You can see it all over their faces at any of their rallies. They’re really angry. All the time. About pretty much everything.
Along the way, an entire ecosystem of grifters sprang up getting fabulously rich by playing the game. They didn’t care who was harmed along the way, nor for the long-term prospects of their country. They cared about personal wealth and status.
They are going to be ridiculously difficult to dislodge, as John Kenneth Galbraith explains so well:
I think all of this is heading toward a great calamity because those opposed to releasing their exorbitant privileges are going to mount a rebellion of some sort. I’ll be discussing that in Part II today. Things could get ugly, in fact we should plan on it.
But for now, here’s a couple of examples of early rebellion.

I’m not sure how, but FEMA got staffed up with people whose sense of duty and morality said to itself, “You know what? Screw Americans in need in North Carolina who have been suffering in quiet desperation since the hurricane, let’s send $59 million dollars to luxury hotels in NYC to pay for another week or two of illegal migrant hospitality.”
They probably felt righteous and rebellious as they did it. Soon they will feel like they have a lot more time on their hands, which they’ll eventually use to scour online job postings.
With any luck, a few of them will do this from jail cells.
An even worse example is that someone within the US government is tipping off locals when ICE raids are coming:
Early rumors are that the tips are coming from within the FBI. Again, hopefully, the people involved are immediately out of work, and soon occupying jail cells.
Just like Pfizer badly misjudged ramming the unsafe and ineffective “vaccine” on everyone and thereby killing is other vaccine product lines, the FBI and FEMA insiders have overplayed their hands and are soon going to discover that their opposition is all done quietly absorbing their nonsense all these many decades and have taken the gloves off.
This will soon be followed by them desperately crying “Uncle” and demanding that our side cease hostilities immediately, but again, they have misjudged. Go ahead and taunt the big guy in the bar who wants to be left alone, but if you provoke him off his chair, he’s going to finish what you started.
But there’s a deeper layer running here.
Decades of bureaucratic mission creep and deep state layering created a gigantic, unaccountable and impenetrable leviathan. Presidents could come and go, but the machinery of state would just keep grinding on doing its thing.
That has just come under a blitzkrieg assault.
The twin team of Trump and Elon are the perfect duo to pull it off too. Neither gives a fuck, and both want to change things. Each has their reasons. Trump’s were iron-forged in Butler PA, which will go down in history as the single greatest blunder of the Deep State.
They took a shot at the king and missed. They meant to splatter his head across the stage and even had their preferred NYTimes ‘history in the making’ photographer in the front row shooting at 1/8000th of a second to capture it all.
Instead, there were some slight miscalculations; an inappropriately tuned optical sight, perhaps a minor gust of wind and a small turn of the head, and to their horror they got this:
The rest, as they say, is history.
For his part, Elon Musk seems to be a man on a mission. He drives his teams hard and gets truly impressive results. He understands technology well enough to know which people to hire to get the job done.
What job is that? He wants to eliminate government waste, which is how DOGE got started. Almost immediately discovering inefficiency turned into discovering a vast oily sea of entrenched corruption.
The shrieks and howls from the parasite class were immediate and extremely loud.
Funnily enough, it’s now a left-right issue. This isn’t Democrats Vs. Republicans, even though there are many more odious examples on the left vs the right.
This is now a right vs. wrong issue:
Which means I am happy as can be. I’ve long occupied the up-down axis and always knew that any salvation we might have would need to be aligned that way. And here we are.
But back to the revolution. A man whose head providently turned just the right way at just the right moment, teamed up with the man who knows that our future lies in managing ourselves using the best tools we have available.
It isn’t merely that Elon’s teams are poking around in some musty government books, they are doing it with AI tools that are cutting through carefully constructed layers of fiscal and contractual obfuscation as if they didn’t exist at all.
The bright lights of transparency have burst onto the scene and the career bureaucrats and Ivy-League-educated NGO heads were completely unprepared. They are now scrambling, but it’s already too late.
There’s nothing they can do about this. AI has arrived. Government efficiency is going to be brought kicking and screaming into the 21st century.
All of those mountains and mountains of make-work jobs to administrate forms, assure contracts are according to rules and appropriations, or that nuclear plants conform to elaborately thick binders of rules & regulations are tasks that can be performed by AI in seconds.
This is an ELE (Extinction Level Event) for millions of government workers. An entire paradigm of “how things work” is going to be very suddenly dismantled.
Such is the fate of progress. It happens all the time in the private sector, and now it’s going to happen to the government sector.
But not without some serious pushback first. Which is concerning because ‘they’ could really do some damage in their attempts to stop all this progress. I mean really violent things that might cause death or might crash the economy.
This is a revolution. They tend to be messy affairs because the two sides have very different ideas about who should be in power and why.
