AP finally called it 277 – 244 for Trump at 5:30 this morning, with MI, NV, AZ, & AK still not quite called but leaning red. Even NPR has called it for Trump.
It’s all over but the concession speech. Hopefully it’ll be the last time we have to listen to Harris on a public stage for a long time.
And now the mayhem begins. Let’s see how well everyone “accepts the outcome of our free and fair elections.” Or will they be “insurrectionists” by saying Trump isn’t a “legitimate” president?
They complained and blamed Trump side to do new insurrection. Being bad loser suggests they might try something like that. So not acknowledging victory is bad sign.
I have an overwhelming feeling this big red win was ‘allowed’ to happen. I am happy about the wins, but remain very cautious and concerned about the state of our country and the safety of our citizens.
We have indeed taken a huge step back from the abyss.
I sincerely hope that Trump puts solid people in all the key positions and they are set loose to clean house.
People in key positions need to be fired. Like the entirely of the FBI down below the Assistant Director level.
Mayorkas needs to face civil and criminal charges, as does Fauci, Walensky and a whole host of other medical-tyranny Covid clowns.
If he tries the old “time to move on with a fresh start” shtick and nobody faces the consequences for their anti-American, evil, and criminal acts, then nothing will change. This will signal that it’s just another group of clowns moving in utilizing the same “professional deference” that they hope will cover their butts on the next turn of the wheel.
But, here this morning, this is a HUGE victory.
The legacy media is deservedly in a huge tailspin. They brought it up[on themselves and proved that even in the face of overwhelming evidence they couldn’t manage to do anything other than careen about within their carefully contrived echo chambers.
On the way out the door this morning, my 17 year old son (uncombed hair, clothes crooked, sneakers in hand) muttered “Trump won? Nothing is going to change. When’s the last time a President made a substantial shift besides Obamacare?” All I could do is LOL.
However, for today I’m going to enjoy the victory. For me the real victory is knowing there are more people in the U.S. who aren’t insane than those who are. That’s no small thing to know about our country!
Yes, this. We’ve got a very difficult, possibly dangerous transition period ahead of us before the inauguration. After that, we face years of sorting out the messes the previous administration has left. But just for today, I’m taking a break to enjoy this victory.
That said, there is always the outside chance of violence from the nose ring mafia. Time to rest, savor victory a little, and yet sleep with one eye ever so slightly open.
Reddit is a total s—hole. I used to browse it multiple times a day, now it’s more like once every month or so if I need to ask a question on a (non political) specialised subject. The partisanship and censorship is off the charts.
