Definitive Ivermectin Toxicity Review

Pharmacist at CVS said they won’t fill my rx for ivermectin. So I leaned in, and whispered, ‘psst, hey, buddy, it’s not for me. I’m fully vaxxed, so I’m bulletproof. I just asked my doc to prescribe it so there’d be one less course of treatment available to one of the anti-vaxxers. Ya know, the world is too … how do I say … crowded?’ He nodded. Five minutes later, I got my rx. ?

All PhDs (any subject) are Doctorates in Philosophy - that’s what the initials stand for. Pathology, Maths, Linguistics, it’s all PhD.

You’re lucky. My country banned the human version. You can only get horse dewormer here. :frowning:

Hi dabonz9 – Chris has a PhD in Pathology from Duke. The “Philosophy” is simply referring to the PhD (Doctor of Philosophy) degree, not the discipline (Pathology). Though he can be philosophical at times, as well

Whitney I do not have a problem with Chris’ qualifications, however Philosophy and Pathology are worlds apart it would seem to me (and to others I would presume). Since Chris is amplifying his qualifications in Pathology and Toxicity at the opening of the video it would seem to me that the shingle he displays would indicate those fields of study. If I wanted to show someone that I was a Master Carpenter, I would not just show them my Electrical Engineering degree even if I was adept at both.

A PhD is always in a specialty. Unfortunately Duke doesn’t print the specialty on the diploma. My university does, so my PhD says Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical Engineering. Granted, you have to take his word for it that his PhD is in pathology but if you doubt it degrees can generally be verified by contacting the university.

You are kidding, right? They gave you ivermectin to reduce the world of anti-vaxxers. Please tell me you are kidding?

Chris, you mentioned the importance of adding niacin (vitamin B3) to the list of vitamins and minerals we should take to improve our immune system. I ordered some, and just now did a fast search for niacin online. One thing that came up is that diabetics aren’t usually given niacin because it can cause a spike in blood sugar. And this article appears to be saying that it can actually cause diabetes. Can you give us some more information about this? Should we be concerned?

  1. Do you seriously not understand how universities mark degrees? I agree with what is stated above some of them don’t put area of specialty on the degree but some do. Same goes for BS and MS degrees depending on school.

I’m a Doctor of Philosophy in History. So yes, it can be “in” anything.

I have a PhD in physics. Does nothing for my philosophy cred. However it is said that educated people can recognize other educated people. I give Chris a +1 FWIW.

New restrictions on prescribing ivermectin for COVID-19

10 September 2021
Today, the TGA, acting on the advice of the Advisory Committee for Medicines Scheduling, has placed new restrictions on the prescribing of oral ivermectin. General practitioners are now only able to prescribe ivermectin for TGA-approved conditions (indications) - scabies and certain parasitic infections. Certain specialists including infectious disease physicians, dermatologists, gastroenterologists and hepatologists (liver disease specialists) will be permitted to prescribe ivermectin for other unapproved indications if they believe it is appropriate for a particular patient. These changes have been introduced because of concerns with the prescribing of oral ivermectin for the claimed prevention or treatment of COVID-19. Ivermectin is not approved for use in COVID-19 in Australia or in other developed countries, and its use by the general public for COVID-19 is currently strongly discouraged by the National COVID Clinical Evidence Taskforce, the World Health Organisation and the US Food and Drug Administration. Firstly, there are a number of significant public health risks associated with taking ivermectin in an attempt to prevent COVID-19 infection rather than getting vaccinated. Individuals who believe that they are protected from infection by taking ivermectin may choose not to get tested or to seek medical care if they experience symptoms. Doing so has the potential to spread the risk of COVID-19 infection throughout the community. Secondly, the doses of ivermectin that are being advocated for use in unreliable social media posts and other sources for COVID-19 are significantly higher than those approved and found safe for scabies or parasite treatment. These higher doses can be associated with serious adverse effects, including severe nausea, vomiting, dizziness, neurological effects such as dizziness, seizures and coma. Finally, there has been a 3-4-fold increased dispensing of ivermectin prescriptions in recent months, leading to national and local shortages for those who need the medicine for scabies and parasite infections. It is believed that this is due to recent prescribing and dispensing for unapproved uses, such as COVID-19. Such shortages can disproportionately impact vulnerable people, including those in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. There is only one TGA approved oral ivermectin product, Stromectol ivermectin 3mg tablet blister pack which is indicated for the treatment of river blindness (onchocerciasis), threadworm of the intestines (intestinal strongyloidiasis) and scabies. All medical practitioners can continue to prescribe oral ivermectin for the approved indications. However, prescribing of oral ivermectin for indications that are not approved is now limited to certain specialists. https://www.tga.gov.au/media-release/new-restrictions-prescribing-ivermectin-covid-19 This is so weak...

Wow ! a few PhD’s here… I’m merely an Engineer ! Seems there is quite a bit of intellectual interest in protecting ones future. Who would have thought
As for Ivermectin ban in Australia, i see an article today where our GP’s (General Practitioner - doctors) are pushing back against the government suggesting maybe Doctors should be able to do what is right for their patients rather than be told what they can and cant do…
Some key comments in the article in case the link somehow expires !

Some GPs argued it was 'common knowledge' among doctors that vaccination alone was not the only approach to manage pandemics.

'Being vaccinated does not make anyone a superhuman to COVID infection. If our goal is to keep Australian safe from dying, shouldn't we give alternatives to those who for whatever reasons will rather die than take the vaccines,' one doctor wrote.

'India saved their nation with Ivermectin. Do we want people to die in their homes in the name of promoting vaccination? GPs should stand up for choice.'
