Yeah, I was especially unhappy with the mandates as they cost me much stress and eventually my job.
Having had a flare-up of a yet-undiagnosed autoimmune disease that was refractory in nature in January 2021, the last thing I needed was a vaccine to ramp up my immune system that much more. I met the .gov published criteria to be exempt from vaccination, but no doctor would write an exemption for me. Wonder why? /sarc/

…when people personally, immediately, and directly bear the costs of their actions and decisions, it heavily incentivizes them to be circumspect regarding whether their beliefs are true or false.
Sowell’s observation captures a fundamental feature of the modern state, especially bureaucracy. When decision-makers are insulated from the costs of their decisions, they become increasingly insulated from aspects of reality itself.

I believe that those of us who want to see Fauci see justice (especially those of us who unlike me can do something about it - e.g. Rand Paul) would be better served by challenging his pardon than trying to question the legality of Fauci taking the 5th. If Rand pursues contempt of congress and fails, it will strengthen Fauci. Of course in the court of public opinion, the recent hearings were devastating for Fauci. But if we want to succeed with legal redress, I believe it’s the legitimacy of the pardons that has to be challenged. I believe that the only way to do this is for a prosecutor to prosecute him for his (alleged) crimes, and challenge the validity of the pardon when he asserts it. The public and the victims of his crimes, I understand, have no standing to sue.
The crimes and subsequent damages are so egregious that I suspect when people realize there will be no justice or acceptable accountability, vigilante justice will begin. Fauci, along with all the complicit doctors, health authorities, and mandate pushers will highly likely live in fear for the rest of their lives. I think it is only a matter of time before the jab injured and/or their loved ones take matters into their own hands.
