My views on this are formed by what “they” choose to prosecute and what they either let slide or actually enable.
Currently, we know that pedophilia is evenly distributed across the socioeconomic spectrum yet we discover that close to 0% of people above a certain wealth/power threshold are ever prosecuted.
You only ever see middle and lower-class people, or those who run afoul of the current regime programs, getting nabbed for child porn and rape and going to jail.
Never the Lords or billionaires…why is that?
When they are (very rarely) caught they are given every possible due consideration by ‘the system.’
Then there’s all the Epstein and PDiddy materials which - surprise! - have never seen the light of day.
Which is to say nothing of the Podesta brothers, the Franklin and Detroux scandals, the Clinton’s and Haiti activities, and Marina Abramovich’s Spirit Cooking club.
Speaking of whom, who better than Marina to “help the children” of Ukraine?
Let me be crystal clear; the ritualistic abuse of children is used by certain power structures to either indoctrinate or maintain control over their participants.
One cannot get to certain positions in Hollywood without playing the game. One cannot get into the inner sanctum of various Western governments without playing the game.
So when I say the UK culture is permissive and supportive of child rape, I mean that in the upper echelon sense. Not at the local bar or neighboorhood, where morality may still exist.
and the general tone just seems to equate to left/lib bad - right/con good.
was this the intention here?
if this is just going to be dunk on the libs while maga embraces a george soros ally as the treasurer [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H0VxAN1gNkg]. elon and vivek willing to flip america first the bird over the work visa [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SJgEY_AXTC8], and despite the mandate trump wanting more tax breaks that just feed into the trickle down system that hasn’t produced near the results thier suppoters espouse, then with all due respect i’m going to be taking any thing you say politics wise with a lot more salt.
left or right just privatizing the profits for the c suite class while the public always pays for the losses should stop. and both the halves of our uniparty have contributed to this.
In the case of CA, the libs/progressive have indisputably wrecked the state and left it worse off. They pursued ideology, wokeness, LGBTQ issues, imported illegals by the tens of thousands, and wasted billions on homelessness while somehow expanding it.
Those who deal in abstractions ruin things. Those who deal in reality make things. That’s the general rule.
The abstractionists, as you point out, can exist anywhere along the left-right political axis, but I will note the most harmful of them are heavily concentrated on the left at the moment.
Further, while “Making America Great Again” is an abstraction, it’s generally benign as compared to the woke gender distractions which are genuinely harmful to the extent they result in fractured families, ruined lives, and incompetent people being installed in important positions.
Michael Shellenberger captured my thinking nicely, so I’ll let him take over:
Lots of “theory” talk all over about the distruction that has and is going on.
I am doing my best about being positive on future. However, if we do not see visual severe consequences for the evil ones somewhat quickly and ongoing i will lose my positive view.
As discussed above even SUPER Majority OK gives 5 yrs to sell illegal brothels - really!!!
All the national RINOs are likely not on board with real change
I hope Trump has constructive surprises in store to punish the criminals.
Okay thank you for the acknowledgement on the points I made, and yes given the circumstances I will agree that CA has done a LOT more harm than good.
I will also acknowledge that my side of the isle (yes I am a liberal) has focused on too many things that didn’t have real world impact for a lot of people.
I would also agree wit Mr. Shellenberger’s assesment.
the problem I can see however is that while there are a number in the current Trump coalition that are actually set on making things better (RFK Jr. and begrudgingly Matt Gates come to mind), there are those who at best I can see as in over their heads (Dr. Oz comes to mind based on comments he made as featured in this article when he was campaigning for the PA senate seat in 2022 [Dr Oz says uninsured ‘don’t have right to health’ but should get 15-minute checkups in ‘festival-like setting’ | The Independent], or malicious like the war mongers trump has floated in his cabinet {https://youtu.be/_x3OgsIfcJ0}, or simply (possibly) using trump for personal enrichment (vivek and elon both have seen shades of this especially over the H1B visas).
I honestly see a lot of good in the Make America Great Again movement and don’t buy into the trump derangment a lot of people on the left have (the biggest problem trump has is at times saying what politicians really think about the people they’re supposed to serve but know better than to say).
but considering comments about needing an anti FDR that were thrown around on the JRE, I see a lot who would use this as an opportunity to just make the wealth transfer upwards during the pandemic seem like child’s play, cut the few things that are working for the elderly, the disabled and the working class, and when that debt disaster a lot of people are seeing as an inevitability comes around leaving the majority of us holding the bag and suffering the consequences.
and honestly for once i’d like to see a movement that is supposed to be helping everyday americans actually do so. not just be another synonym for the usual uniparty bs.
thank you Mr Martenson though for your response. it is nice to see that despite what was seemingly implied, that the core of your impartiality does remain even now.
For all the parody comedy authors out there. I suggest a skit/post about shadowy government actors approaching social media wrong think writers. With an offer to avoid really terrible outcomes (maybe not so terrible) employment offers to do very terrible things, that are actually happening in the world today.
Where did the experts get their notion of supremacy??
Its the philosophy of Technocracy going back to the 30’s…
And get this, Musk’s grandfather was in on Technocracy’s beginnings in Canada…
“Technocracy’s answers to both those questions were bold, radical, overly complicated and wildly impractical. Today, no one is talking about a North American Technate or a 16-hour work week or replacing money with energy certificates.”
Well well well, what have we here? Literally 1 day before the fires started…
The group also celebrated the completion of construction projects meant to prepare land for track-laying on the southernmost part of the line—which will initially run 171 miles between Merced and Bakersfield and ultimately span 463 miles from Los Angeles to the Bay Area, in addition to connecting with another project planned between Southern California and Las Vegas…
“We’re running out of money, we haven’t even finished the valley portion, much less from San Francisco to Los Angeles,” state Sen. Roger Niello told The Epoch Times. “We don’t know where the money is going to come from to finish the project.”
The latest estimates from the state put the total cost between $89 billion and $128 billion, though some analysts expect the numbers to rise.
Much of the backing for the project comes from the state’s cap-and-trade program, which seeks to limit carbon emissions by charging companies that exceed set limits. Other money comes from state funds and federal grants…
“California is building a clean transportation system for the future,” Newsom said in a statement. “Our vision is simple: by 2050, every Californian should be able to choose rail as a way to get to their destination, near or far.”
Hemmati said that despite a massive fire in Malibu just a few weeks ago, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass went to Ghana for the inauguration of a politician, and Gov. Gavin Newsom waited too long to relocate resources, instead holding a press conference about high-speed rail.
“My problem with both of them and with the entire system is that they have been absolutely negligent … because they’ve known that this is a very likely possibility, and despite that, chose to put their efforts into many, many other things,” Hemmati said. “That’s not leadership. That’s abandonment.”
DEW weapons: We know many of these fires exhibit unnatural qualities. And as others have pointed out, why was this never a problem in the past? And I’m not buying the climate change propaganda. And fires elsewhere may be unnatural also.
Ah, was it Elon Musk who made meme of 10Bn$ rail project in california that some 1mile was only built. I dont see success under Gavin. California is barren desert at this rate by 2050, no human can live there.
Brand new FEMA centers are empty. Those need “residents”? Forced if have to.
At least that was Trudeau way in Canada. We will see if he pulls dirty tricks in next 3 months… does he have clue TLA is going to take out Trump and he could pull another trick to collude with democrats after that? It is possible if that kind of unexpected event happens.
With california and Newsom track record, I would consider rail project another distraction to shuffel money to corruption. (Has he paid back those 25Bn$+ lost in budget accounts? No?)
This is how corrupt socialists do everywhere in world. They distract with always utopian great plans if you try to raise concerns. Not answering any of those. They are extremely well versed in verbalics and word salad, so cannot listen to that but follow numbers and results.
Australia has had similar extremely huge rail line project and you can ask them how it has gone. Yup, also liberals there pushing it.
Scale of that is simply so huge telling they have no realistic intention to pull it off… extremely yuge plans are way to make infinite projects for money shuffling for decades to come. 10miles of track is pretty big project, let alone 100(we have here renovation going on, some 20-30 miles of railline being renovated here, nowhere near these project sizes)… yet surprises=delays happen but also they have progressed. But it is annoying for passengers in station, extra walking, re-routed buses. Still it is repairs, not building from scratch which Im always cautious when politicians try to do that.
It’s unbelievable the destruction that is happening right now. 2 of 5 fires are still uncontrolled, last I checked. They have had hurricane-like winds. I do wonder what will be left of California in a few years. Sad, it is a beautiful place, I’ve been there several times. I’m praying:(
Incompetence? I’m shocked, shocked I tell you. Wasn’t Los Angeles a big enforcer of the “get vaxxed or get axed” Covid vaccine mandate for its municipal employees? One may imagine a scenario where the truly informed who refused to buckle to the irrational mandates were fired or quit or retired early…leaving behind a less, shall we say, intellectually vibrant (and from vaccine injury, less physically vibrant ) workforce. So yes, the Crappening is a Happening.
not at all intent of comment - more like that this is reason we need to stand up more than ever to demand transparency, expose the evil, hold guilty accountable - peacefully and transparently.
The politicians are worse than worthless. Rather than address the issues brought up in Sound of Freedom, they along with press attack character of Jim Caviezel (sp?) and the real life character he portrayed. I believe the citizens led by people of faith are only hope for these type of issues - God has to be behind anything that will result in real change. I don’t follow but have heard of some good work pastor Troy Brewer is doing with rescuing kids.
Re Prov 3:5-6 – all other names I were thinking of were already taken here at PP. I to am SO far from living it, but I like the simplicity, completeness, and power. BTW larrythelogger is cool moniker - always like alliteration
@cmartenson any word from Dave Collum on when his final installment is coming that makes mention of the paedo politicians? I will pay extra for it can’t wait to read and for his thoughts and research to come to light…it feels like it might be a tidal wave.
That was and is indeed a factor in all this. The vax mandate did a nice hollowing out of many professions removing, as you state, the most thoughtful and diligent from the ranks.
It really doesn’t take much of a competence tilt to shift from being a functioning to a dysfunctional organization.
He’s still working on it and ruminating over whether he should ever release it…he’s well-aware of the actual risks involved, both for him and the publisher.
Truthfully, I’d have to read it before committing to being the publisher.
My main goals for the future involve educating as many people as possible about the looming economic and financial risks and helping to contribute to rebuilding of my country, which has already begun with all the new political connections I suddenly have.
If Part III sinks all that, and ties us up in a massive and dark fight (these demons are nasty and extremely well-funded), even though it’s the good fight, I have to think that through carefully and weigh the pros and the cons.
