Sorry, I did not mean to imply that you were misleading. All I was trying to convey was an adherence to Chris’ principle that hard evidence is foundational, and theories or hypotheses should be tied to the hard evidence. I think it’s a good principle for many reasons, one of them being that for every soft or unverifiable evidence admitted, many bad tangents can follow as well as dis-creditation by “fact-checkers” of much good work on the basis of one small slip.
This is what I have thought all along. Especially since at least one video or more than one seems to show that there was no recoil at all on the first shot and maybe the second shot. I’ve heard people say that an experienced shooter of an AR 15 won’t demonstrate any recoil, but I find that hard to believe
It all comes down to whether Greg Smith is telling the truth. I did see the interview where he said exactly what I said he said. My only point was I did see it; I mean the interview.
I’m going to say: this sounds different.
He joined it last fall. Yeah, people do their hobbies sometimes on days off, but on every major holiday, every single one?
The Feds initially tried to spin this as more spontaneous…but this info looks nefarious.
Frequent trips to the gun range, on all major holidays, and he also purchased items to make explosives in the months before.
Didn’t they try to spin that he wasn’t there when DHS was, but uh-oh, he sure was??
I’m sorry, but this absolutely seems like a kid who was radicalized/groomed and being trained to carry this out when the opportunity arose. Oh look, giant pie piece security gap and the counter snipers all left the one place that could have stopped him immediately. Imagine! What a co-inc-e-dinc.
I have no problem with that theory, I’d just like to see something a bit more concrete here.
Like dude, if I was in Crooks’ position, my local gun range would have at least 4 different local agencies implicated, especially since I’ve arrived and left at the same time as some SWAT guys. had I done something like this, that would be really fucking weird, right? But instead it’s just random timing. so I’d like to at least see eye witness or CCTV footage of Crooks having interactions or something with these people. something more than just “they visited the same place to shoot” like yeah…that happens all over the country…do you people think there is a shooting range on every corner like a McDonald’s??
I believe that you did, and am not implying that you made it up - I’m sorry if you feel offended. To be honest, I think I watched this interview too, and am upset that I did not save it right away. Since I haven’t found it after much searching, I don’t know if it was thoroughly censored or if what I think I did watch is not what was said in some cut of some interview.
I’ve made several big mistakes, and will continue to make them - unintentionally - and appreciate the back-and-forth at PP as a good method to correct course toward truth. I hope that when I go off course badly, someone at PP would challenge or correct me - thank you in advance.
Yes, an image, not video. Chris recently posted an image of the grounds west of AGR 6 and highlighted in yellow Greg Smith in the area. Off the top of my head, this image was some 60-65 seconds before the first shot.
Did you just join your range in the last year or have you been shooting for years?
Did you just get killed at a rally with gaping security holes after an assassination attempt?
Do you have bombs in your car and home?
Have government agencies been withholding information from the public while they scramble to confuse and CYA in relation to said attempt?
No, oh well, I guess one of these things is not like the other…
Dude it’s not that deep, I’d just like to see or know if they did anything while at the range. What don’t you understand? Fine they visited the same range, but as I’ve told you that’s not uncommon, especially if Butler doesn’t have that many ranges to begin with.
Then how in the world could he have seen someone in the east window of the 2nd story building behind Crooks as he told Candace Owens?
Undercover is a full time assignment and there are three things they never carry with them: a badge (or police ID card), a police radio, and a “police gun” (they only carry guns criminals carry that aren’t commonly used by police). You’d never send a truly undercover officer into a situation where he might have to break cover to take police action. And if that unintentionally happened he wouldn’t take police action. He’d let the crime happen and the perp get away because his investigation is much bigger than one crime. (Imagine he’s infiltrated the Mob or an international drug ring. that’s responsible for multiple murders and all kinds of mayhem.) This guy is not undercover. He’s in a full time plainclothes assignment so he can let his grooming go, to blend in. He never works in uniform. Looks like a state police badge to me but I’m not sure. Does he have a radio and an earpiece so we can assume he was hearing transmissions about Patsy? He should have. And, yes, his highest priority assignment would’ve been to follow a suspicious person without being “made” as a cop and thereby spook the suspicious person. Finding and following Patsy and maybe even talking to him like any old guy in the crowd was his highest assignment possible that day. The only possible reason (besides negligence) he wasn’t doing that was that he was following/observing someone EVEN MORE SUSPICIOUS. That’s why I’d like to be the FIB agent to interview him. WTH was he doing instead of searching for and following Patsy? He better have a VERY CONVINCING explanation!

In a police mind:
Absolutely, you share my early thoughts. No rational person would believe he could randomly climb a building with his kill kit, get into position to shoot the President, all while not being noticed. So how could a rational person become an irrational, delusional person and try to carry out the assassination? What, indeed? Leads me to conclude some nefarious organization in the background had groomed him. “Look over there; not over here: Crooks is a weapon of mass distraction.” But who designed that scenario?
More from the mind of a cop:
As a police officer I worked with the US Marshals during the Carlos Lehder trial in Jacksonville. My squad and I knew full well that we were the trip flares for the Marshalls in the event members of Lehder’s cartel came to free him. The Marshalls sat inside the courthouse fortress while we “trip flares” sat outside in the sallyport and froze during the winter. What the Marshall’s didn’t know is that we had no intention of dying for their cause. If things broke bad, the Marshalls were on their own. Because we knew we were the cannon fodder/trip flares; they just thought they were clever. They picked the wrong squad.
Moral of the story: The locals were intentionally left in the dark. There was no command structure and in the end they ran around like chickens with their heads cut off. The Locals were complacent. I don’t think they believed an assassination attempt was going to happen. The difference between this situation and the one at the Carlos Lehder trial was: we believed a very violent attempt would be made to free Lehder, consequently, we had our own plan which was to get the hell out of Dodge as fast as we could, take cover where we could, then organize a plan of action. The US Marshalls had a plan and the weaponry but it didn’t include us.

I watched your presentation on 9 Aug 2024 and you had questions about the officer’s response and I want to give you my perspective. Bear in mind that I went through the police academy in 1982 and terminology may have changed but I believe you’ll get the idea.
Situational Awareness:
Condition White: Relaxed and unaware
Condition Yellow: Relaxed but aware of surroundings
Condition Orange: Alert, identified something of interest, concentrating on possible threat
Condition Red: Focus from potential threat to potential target. Weapon drawn, closer to site acquisition
Condition Black: Panic mode. Never go here.
Muni Officer body cam:
MUNI GETS A TEXT:
It’s possible the Muni officer was assigned to patrol a perimeter by vehicle. I doubt if he was on routine patrol when he got the text to come to the water tower. From what I can ascertain, the Muni got a text perhaps from a supervisor saying something to the effect of "meet me under the water tower NOW. Condition: Yellow.
Muni meets with perhaps a supervisor and receives information to the effect that there are reports of someone on the roof of the AGR building. Go check it out.
He appears to travel promptly. Adrenaline should be ramping up but not so as to affect how he handles the call. He should be in Condition Orange.
At 18:09 Muni arrives at the scene and there is no police activity. Leaning on my past experiences, I have to wonder if they were all sitting in the air conditioning, drinking coffee and talking, maybe surfing the internet on cell phones, but clearly not aware of their surroundings. I’d like to check everyone’s cell phones to dispel that idea or support it. What were their methods of communication?
SECURE THE PICNIC TABLE:
State Police standing on a picnic table with his gun drawn. That is probably one of the stupidest things I have ever seen. He’s secured the picnic table. Does he really think he can accurately hit a target on the roof from that position? Useless, but the picnic table is secured. Geeezz, what an idiot.
BOOSTED:
At 18:10 Muni boosted up. Did Muni have no conception of officer safety? What was his plan if the suspect pointed the gun at him, which he did? Taking cover by falling down is not a good plan. The suspect with the rifle is seen and the officer falls from the roof. At this point, instead of Condition Red, Muni hits Condition Black. He takes off running and doesn’t know what the hell to do. He chases around, shouts at bystanders. Speaking from experience on the streets: If the bystanders are stupid enough to stand around in the line of fire, then that’s their problem. In condition Red, the field of focus becomes very narrow. Officer safety is priority; those bystanders are on their own. That’s really how it works. No heroics. It’s been my experience that the bystanders will not move and the situation devolves into a huge distraction from the primary target. Moving bystanders is like herding cats.
PANIC SETS IN:
Muni runs back to his car; fumbling with his rifle in a high risk call tells me the adrenaline is in charge and he’s panicked. Police are supposed to be trained to remain calm even in the highest risk situation. Panic helps no one. So he fumbles with his rifle but leaves it in the car. (Bang head here). Clearly panicked and not able to think clearly.
OFFICER KEYING THE MIKE:
To answer your question about why Muni doesn’t shout anything useful, I would suggest that he is listening to traffic on his shoulder mike. At 18:11:17. Look at the officer’s right arm. Every time he’s lifting it toward his shoulder, he is likely keying his mike and communicating with other officers.
There are radio communications because, as I stated above, at 18:11:13, he is clearly keying his mike. Butler PD needs to release the radio communications.
BYSTANDERS=CANON FODER:
As I told you, the bystanders are on their own. They should have taken cover when they first became aware of a man with a gun on the roof. They can see what’s going on around them and they should hit the ground or grab a tree for cover. But at this point, bystanders are a distraction. If they aren’t smart enough to take cover, then that’s their bad luck. Sounds cold but that’s the naked truth.
Remember that we have the advantage of deconstructing the event frame by frame. However, in the real world this is unfolding in seconds.
WARNING SHOTS, HELL NO, NOT EVER DONE:
As far as shooting into the ground or warning shots, absolutely forbidden in police work. Police do not fire warning shots ever. Warning shots are against regulation. He did good by not discharging his weapon without a clear line of sight of the target. There again, I don’t think there was a position from the ground that would ever produce a good line of sight. You can’t just shoot wildly in the direction of the target. The shooting review board would have a field day with all of the violations of firearms discharge. You must be aware of where that bullet is going to land.
SHOTS FIRED:
Back to the car. As a police officer I give him no grace for fumbling with his rifle and ejecting rounds. He should have had so much range time that even in a high risk situation as this is, firearm handling should be muscle memory. There should be no thinking involved, but shots have been fired and he’s panicked. I’m only judging him by the standards I was held to. No mistakes—ever. Maintain calm, focus on the target.
OTHER COMMENTS BROUGHT UP:
As to your comments about boosting up and giving commands. That is absolutely useless. You don’t give a command when you can’t back it up with force. This officer is hanging by his fingertips; what command can he give to the suspect that doesn’t make him look like more of an idiot? The suspect would ignore you, if he didn’t pop a couple of rounds off at you in defiance.
Yes, an officer is supposed to command the situation at all times; however, at this point, no one has command of anything. They reacted independently and as a result, they all look like Keystone cops. Who was in charge of this area? And I’m not talking about the Secret Service, but the highest ranking officer. It’s a clusterf*ck.
When the QRF arrives, the boosted cop says, "He’s got an AR, laying down, he’s got a bookbag, “mag shit” (referring to the fact that he has spare magazines and ammo, I believe).
No there were more than that. I can remember off the top of my head Butler TOWNSHIP and Washington County (south of Pittsburgh).
Possibility would include working for AGR because of the event next door. Ask AGR what steps they took for this, Who was their liaison that coordinated with Butler/Beaver/Secret Service…how about with the Butler Farm owner and people. Private security rent a cop. ???
Here they mention something about the “owner of AGR” being on the radio?? But I can’t make sense of their conversation, and the parts leading up to this were not that clear to where I could understand anything. Maybe someone with better software out there can mess with the sound and figure out what they were talking about.
Oh look! Crooks spotted running along the roof tops. Video from officers dash camera.

Stabilized version
Odd, a behavioral like Jordan Peterson should comment on what was going through this Crooks’ mind, pretty elaborate sequence of events leading up to this Premiere to use the Steam Quote. Endless stream of lucky cracks in the police/AGR/etc to get to a 8 or 9 shots at the President. Seems hard to believe at this point someone could hate so much to go through all this. Also never saw this guys glasses on the dead body frames, if wearing them the bullet went right through his head, wonder if that bullet is still there laying on the ground mushroomed. Not that important except to tie to a weapon that fired it.
I’m not sure if your asking, but the officer in uniform (above photo) is Officer Tedeski. He is seen coming down the hall of the AGR building with an unknown Secret Service agent AFTER shots are fired.
